Just a question for peeps. Anyone ever get bottled? I got bottled on friday and had to go to hospital, thankfully i didn't need any stiches or nothing but i have a bad headache now. It kinda feels like my brain is swollen. I went to the doctors and he was bloody useless. Just asked me questions he already knew the answers to. No blackouts, no vomitting, kinda feel dizzy, a ringing in my ear.

My question is if you've been bottled is it normal to have a headache for a few days after it?

Umm... yeah. Your head is bound to be still sore.

Well i was just wondering, i tried looking it up on google, and on webmd, my doctor was seriously the most useless doctor ever, he basically said, head injuries are dangerous, don't get hit again. Yeah thanks doc i'll cancel my appointment to get bottled again on friday.. IDIOT! Man he was useless and RUDE! He was just filling in for my normal family doctor who is on sick leave.

So it is normal for me to have a headaches?

Its cool for your head to still hurt many days after being bottled, you are talking to the expert, times ive been bottled, two smashed and one newcastle brown ale bottle didnt, one wooden bat over the nogin as well, take two vallium and a wee drink or smoke and your pain goes away,if it doesnt go collect 200 and straight to the docs

I whacked my head once on a solid wood corner. The headaches lasted for about 4 days, I also had some slurred speech and dizziness.
The side of your head is the worst place to get hit, the top is more protected.

With a head injury, you never know so if in doubt go back to the doctor or a different one.

It is very normal for you to have a headache. You have a headache because you probably have a concussion. The questions your doctor asked you were not useless. He probably asked questions like: what day/ month year is it? Your name. Where you live? Do you know where you are city country...etc. These questions allow your doctor to assess whether or not your head injury is potentially more serious than appears.

Your doctor is right, head injuries are very dangerous. You could end up with an aneurysm (blood clot to the brain) you could stroke out, develop scar tissue on the brain from bleeding that leads to such joyous things as grand mal epileptic seizures. If you continue to not feel right go back to the doctor for a reassessment .

I got a concussion once by running into a concrete wall (no.. not entirely my fault). I had headaches for about a week and some dizziness. Also, the day after while I was driving, one side of my head went numb and my vision started blacking out. Luckily the road was straight and it came back quickly.

If you are unhappy with the treatment and/or advise of your current doctor, you would be well advised to seek the opinoin of another, experienced medical professional. As DOT states, serious complications can result, a qualified assessment should be your first priority.
