I was just wondering what exactly Heaven is thought to be/look like?

You always think about white puffy clouds, and those two big golden gates at the entrance, but what does everyone think it actually looks like?

I believe there's some part in the bible that describes it as a Golden City, but is it literally a city made of gold?

I would be interested to hear what everyone thought it looked like, and maybe someone could give me some specific parts of scripture that describe it?

you don't have to limit your thoughts of heaven to christian ideals either........you could give a different take on it as well.

In all seriousness, no one knows what heaven will look like. Revelations describes heaven, but being apocryphal in nature I tend not to place too much emphasis on literal observations from that particular book.

Jesus refers to heaven as a banquet (Luke 14 I think it is).

The truth is in heaven (at least according to Christian ideals) we will no longer have human bodies. We will be spiritual entities with none of the constraining barriers that our exterior shells give us. Thus heaven (I think) will be a spiritual place (that is to say, not physical). Not having experienced spiritual form myself, I cannot say what heaven will be like.

Space. Heaven is in space. All 10 levels of it. And all 10 levels of hell too.

So if we knew where it was we can fly there "if we could", and "leave" if we did not like it, eternity is a way too long for a banquet.

Maybe heaven is just in the mind, once you die you just make it up, well we somewhat can do that already.

The 8th Heaven is the Firmanent, the Zodiacs, or Zodiac belt. Beyond that is thee 9th the House of the Zodiac, and everything beyond that is part of the 10th.

Technically, one can travel to see the Heavens. How far debatable, and as was just recently brought up a 1985 Space Station mission saw 8 huge angels. Angels are, in true form, huge.

To me the challenge is not in getting to heaven but in remembering that I am already there. Now for all those that claim Heaven is 'within you' or some invisible place, alternate dimension, big fluffy cloud, I suggest you read a few texts and discover that Heaven has always been known to be space. That we, as current scientific theory claims, did in fact originate from the Heavens, or space, after a certain 'Big Bang'. You do not really believe that this tiny minute speck of a planet within a vast universe is all there is do you? How can Heaven be a state of mind, exactly? That's called 'Euphoria'.

Well, it's always good when people look into things.....

i think heaven might be a state of conciousness that most of us haven't reached yet.......ive had dreams of what id call heaven in one of them i was walking in this amazingly beatiful place long grass covered the floor and there was a kinda slow wind that was blowing everyting the sky was just pure white light and was reflected off every single thing i could also feel the grass as if it was breathing beneath my feet i walked across this arched bridge and there was these children sitting on either side greeting me with their arms out wanting to touch my hand.......it was one of the most amazing dreams ive ever had i woke up with the feeling of just pure bliss and happiness.

Heaven, or hell, may not exist. In fact, there is nothing to prove that God, or anything else is really there (then again, there is also no factual evidence to prove that alot of the cryptids or beings out there exist) and they could very well be a figment of our imagination. Heck, the world could be an illusion or when we die we just go into a void or we'll be gone forever. Oh, the possibilites.

It's where the best 'you' exist and that you are totally happy with yourself, others and everything else (and God).

I'll know it if I get there. Unless I go to purgatory and hopefull not in the flaming pit of the burning abyss that is when I will know what heaven looks like. But just a guess alot better than what earth looks like.

I've had a NDE (and yes it was a GOOD one, not a 'hellish' one as some have assumed, why I'll never know, do I seem evil or something? lol ). After that experience, I've seen through dreams later backed up by excluded text that both Heaven, and hell do indeed exist. In all of their many levels.

Heaven has a few problems in explaining it.

This is based on the Bible as Christians know it (The Book, not the explanation)

The Different levels of heaven are time periods:

(2CORINTHIANS 12:2) I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years
ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the
body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the
third heaven. (KJV)

This man Paul knew was seeing the third time period for the day of the cross, Christ’s days likened to Heaven. God made His day as seven days in Isaiah 30:26.

(ISAIAH 30:26) Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light
of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the
light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach
of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. (KJV)

Only the day of the cross fits this day, when God healed them, even if they did not see it. The seven days is made as three pictures, which are also as days, so it ends up as 10 days. or the ten levels of heaven. Which time period you are seeing.

The first picture is as 4 6-hour periods seen as 4 beasts with 6-wings. Starting at Sunset or when the Last Supper began. So the third heaven is Sunrise to noon. and the words not lawful for a man to speak was spoken by Jesus, and they condemned Him to death for those words, They were considered blaspheme for any man to speak them.

(2CORINTHIANS 12:4) How that he was caught up into paradise, and
heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. (KJV)

(MARK 14:61) But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the
high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the
Son of the Blessed? (KJV)
(MARK 14:62) And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man
sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of
heaven. (KJV)
(MARK 14:63) Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What

The Second picture is as 2 12-hour periods seen as 2 witnesses in Revelation. The Third picture is as 1 24-hour period seen as 24 Elders in Revelation.

All the Sevens in Revelation is these time periods. So the fourth seal is the black horse, death followed by hell as Jesus died and descended into hell between noon and sunset.

The Windows of heaven is seeing these time periods. The Blessings is God showing you what is there.

(MALACHI 3:10) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that
there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith
the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven,
and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to
receive it. (KJV)

God speaks in Similitudes, It is not tithes, It is see that all people are saved by grace, Bring them all into God’s house in your mind, and seeing God as love, You can see what took place the day of the cross. How all the prophecies were fulfilled. Even those out of hell.

(ZECHARIAH 9:11) As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I
have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

Hell was a place of sleep till Jesus died for sin. Hell ceased to exist on the third day.

The day as 7 days or time periods is as SILVER, which is God’s word tried in the fire seven times, But the day as 3 pictures is as GOLD.

The Street is paved with Gold or seen in the three pictures.

Jesus is the Street. First picture He takes the living, Second picture He takes the dead, Third picture He takes us or unites us with God.

(ISAIAH 51:23) But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict
thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over:
and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to
them that went over. (KJV)

Now for what we will see the moment our earthly body is dead.

Heaven is likened to Brass, and He has broken down the gates of brass.

“He openneth and no man shutteth. Sorry, No Saint Peter with keys there.

Around the gate are thousands of millions. They are the ones out of hell, Likened to Rebekah’s Children, they speak to the enemies in the gate. So those who do not know God personally. or do not want to Know God at all, Have an appointment with these people.

Seen in Revelation as those who came out of great tribulation. They serve God by telling of the love and Mercy He has for every person.

Seen as Mighty men, as arrows shot forth out of the quiver which is the Sepulchre.

(JEREMIAH 5:16) Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all
mighty men. (KJV)

That is why the Stone was rolled away, it had to be opened to fulfill Scripture.

(PSALMS 127:4) As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are
children of the youth. (KJV)
(PSALMS 127:5) Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:
they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in
the gate. (KJV)

They are likened to Children, they are as arrows in a quiver or the Sepulchre, they now speak with the enemies in the gate.

(GENESIS 24:60) And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou
art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and
let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. (KJV)


Now aside from Scripture, I think inside heaven will be like a nursing home. No one having more then the other, Rich not being what you have as much as having more then those around you. For a poor American can not compare with a poor person from Haiti.

I do not know what color the plates will be, But I assume the portion on the plate will be small. Those of us who have had enough food, and more then enough will see it as not enough. but those who have know near starvation daily, will see more food on their plate then they have ever had.

Those who had it all, Will feel like it is hell, those who have had nothing will see it as wonderful. This picture of heaven is played daily at Nursing Homes around the country. The Houses, the Cars, the loving Family which does not come around any more. But our family is everyone else.

So our Family does surround us. and always has.

I belive Heaven is a Planet, and that it may have another name, but thats the name we give to it here on Earth, and i believe it may look alot.

Heaven being likened to His days, and the day made as ten days explains why in the Quran. "If Allah were to beget a Son, the Heavens would rip apart." And they did, into 10 pieces.

If any were to preach that Allah would beget a Son (Future tense), They preach a monsterous falsehood.

God sent a lying spirit in 1-Kings 22:21/24. A Similitude that all prophecies are seen a lies TILL they are fulfilled, and not until. So preaching Allah would beget a Son would be a lie, But seeing the Quran was written about 600 years after Jesus died for mankind, and the Quran was careful not to write "Has begotten a Son." For then it would have to be recorded as truth.

(1KINGS 22:23) Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying

And "If Allah wanted a Son, He could just declare one." The day of the Cross, God did declare Jesus the son of David as His own. Which is the whole body of Christ with all mankind in that body.

As the Scriptures interlock and the heavens being divided was covered, I added this. The Quran does say that Jesus is the Son of God the same way the Old Testament says Jesus is the Son of God. But God has them blinded as in a deep sleep from seeing that. 2029 ad the alarm clock rings, and most of mankind will see Jesus is the Christ as that message spreads.

God raises Jesus to Himself, How about that?

In Heaven you will find everyone who had ever died to that moment. Absent from the body is present with the Lord.

You will have a body the same as you have here. You will have a body to hang your white robe on, You will have hands to hold things. legs to stand on. Etc.

(REVELATION 7:9) After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude,
which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and

When Jesus rose, all the dead rose with Jesus, you will see them all there in Heaven.

Those who died in Egypt rose with Jesus, Those who died at Jerusalem rose with Jesus. Those who died in a place called SHARON rose with Jesus, He is the Rose of Sharon also.

Ken you read too much into what is very simple and straightfoward. I suggest you do some research into what you continually quote. Their meanings are not the mystery you seem to think they are, nor some sort of elborate symbolism. Symbolism is a new concept, not one employed when these texts were written.

Amazing . . . so many people "dying" to get to a place they, in reality, know nothing about. It is, methinks, all in the imagination, and can be whatever one wishes it to be. For myself, I guess I will take a "wait and see" attitude. Heaven is supposedly a place one has to die to get to . . . and as the old wag goes, "Darn few are willing to die to get there."

I'd like to think that we go to a place after death that is what we would personally consider perfection. Mine would be a place that has a little of everything, beautiful beaches wildlife like the horses of NC outer banks. It will have a spa and fresh fruit by the pool. It will be like a never ending vacation, no work just enjoying being there with people that you like, since it's heaven anyone you don't like isn't there with you i'd like to believe there will still be physical pleasures as well But basically all the best things from here on earth in a never ending eternity of pleasure, peace and drunkenness that would be heaven to me anyway......oh and no one there lecturing about personal beliefs or right and wrong...

Bacca I'm trying to get that kind of heaven here and now. I see no harm in contemplating a little resort for an after life, I'd like to think heaven is what you want it to be. Symbolism is a new concept, not one employed when these texts were written.

Where did you get that? Not from Hosea:

(HOSEA 12:10) I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have
multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. (KJV)

Similitudes are symbolism, and God spoke through Hosea in about 723 B.C. Not last Tuesday. And God had been speaking to other prophets for over 800 years before that. Lots of similitudes, Starting with the Creation story, a Similitude for the day of the cross. Including similitudes for people. Like Enoch which never existed as we see Him in Scripture.

The day of the cross seen as ten generations, and the Seventh or Enoch is when God took Jesus, And He was not.


Heaven is an actual place where we all have a residence soon enough. What we do on earth has a lot to do with how we will feel about being there. Be as good or as bad as you want here, Just live with it when you get to heaven. There are no other options. No other earthly lives to make amends. No punishment to help comfort any guilt feelings. Just remembrances within self. And self does not listen too well to excuses.

DREAMS have SYMBOLIC means SOMETIMES. Jesus talked in PARABLES (and ONLY, I mean ONLY, when it is stated that He did so) for the idiots who couldn't understand what He was talking about. He even said that in so many words. Unless it says it's a DREAM, or a PARABLE. The 'creation story' is NOT symbolism, nor is any other part which does't directly say 'this is a dream', 'this is a parable'.

The Right hand is the first 6-hours, and 10 Disciples fell, or fled from the Garden of Gethsame. Too bad they hated Jesus for reaching for non-Jews, it got them multiplied.

God made the Disciples 1,000 times more then they are. God said to bless them that hate you, and that is the Blessing the Disciples got, times 1,000

Notice they fall at His RIGHT HAND, Which is Sunset to Midnight. The Thousand at His side is Peter as He denies He knows Jesus, and He was cursing Jesus when He did it. A Little bird told me.

The Same bird that crewed as Peter denied Jesus the third time, and that is when Jesus was told by the same little bird that Peter had cursed Jesus in his thoughts.

Luke did not mention Peter cursed as He was speaking, But it was there, and that is what caused Jesus to turn a look upon Peter, He knew Peter was cursing Him in his thoughts., by the Bird telling him.

Let there be light, Sunset to Midnight: I am the True Vine, I am the Good Shepherd, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. In My Father’s house are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you. Etc, etc, the first day of Creation is Sunset to Midnight, the day of the cross.

The Beginning is the day of the cross which starts the New World. a New world without end. The Old world ended the day of the cross, But it did not have a Beginning.

(ISAIAH 46:10) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from
ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel

The things from ancient times not yet done is the Creation story, Noah’s Ark, Sodom, etc, and even Enoch, Not yet done when Isaiah was inspired to write this.

Ken, you really have no idea what you're talking about do you? Yes, Enoch was Ethiopian, no Enoch was not a metaphor for Jesus, and again NO, it was NOT Moses who talked of God coming with 10,000 saints, that's quoted directly from Enoch's book, which Moses actually makes note of (the actual BOOK OF ENOCH) in Jubilees, the original Genesis, and where it orginated from in the Pentateuch.
