I remember when I was about 7 years old, I went sledding down a hill with my dad and some of his friends. At that age I had no fear of anything, and so to get my thrill, I would stand half way down the hill and wait for the inner-tube to come down the hill. Right before it got to me, I would jump in the air and land on top of everybody on it and ride it the rest of the way down the hill. I did this quite a few times, however, the last time I did it, I remember the tube coming down the hill, and then it just disappeared. At first I thought it had gone through a dip and would come back into view a few moments later. Well, it never came back into view, and the scenery was the same, but yet it was changed slightly almost as if it were another day or something. All of a sudden, I was flying through the air. That's right, I got smoked by the inner-tube full of people, and you can imagine the distance a 7 year old can bounce off of something like that. The thing is I never saw the tube, even when it hit me. And everyone else on the tube didn't even know they had hit me until after they looked back and saw me lying on the hill. My dad wasn't on the tube, and he never saw me get hit. He turned just in time to say he saw me flying through the air, but no one saw the actual impact, including myself. Anyone else ever have an experience like that?
PS. No I don't smoke dope.

That's an incredible story. How old are you now?
I don't believe I have ever had an experience like that.
Time for more research.

What exactly do you mean by the scenery changing?I can tell you from experience that I've been momentarily snow-blind before..The brightness levels decrease and increase at random and things that should have been very obvious seemed to be just out of my ability to focus on them..It was fairly unpleasant until it wore off..Usually within 15 minutes, although I've heard people can suffer severe vision problems from it..

That's strange. Maybe there was some kind of portal thing. O_O
Or you could've got snow-blinded

I'm 32 right now, and I doubt it was snow blindness. It was an overcast day and if it was snow blindness everything would have been unfocused and hazy, but it was sharp and clear. Something else I should have added was I could hear the tube sliding down the snow as it came down the hill, but when it disappeared, so did the sound it made. The scenery was different in that the snow that was laid out on the hill looked different. Sort of the way snow scenery changes day by day because of winds and more snowfalls, but I was still standing in the same spot in the same area. The only reason I even though about it was I was reading one of my girfriends ghost story books, and it mentioned something about a street in Penticton, BC where a few individuals have claimed they were driving down the street in the middle of the town when all of a sudden, they found themselves driving through a field instead, almost as if they had warped back in time. This lasted only a few seconds, and then they were driving back through the town again. Reading that made me remember what happened when I was 7 and wondered if maybe something similiar had happened to me. Anyway, I was just curious if anybody else has ever experienced something like this, or has any information on phenomenon like this. It's never happened to me again, only that one time. The thing I found interesting too is that the people on the inner-tube didn't even know they had hit me, and there were about six people on it, as it was a fairly big tube. You think one of them would have noticed me standing there if it was all just in my mind.

Interesting story, sometimes I blank out ( it's really hard to describe it) and then bounce back to reality. Your body is still there but your mind moves.
Do you think you may have done something like that?

I have read your post twice, i do not know what to say this is very strange, but i guess it could happen;is this the first time you have ever had this happen, if not when were the other times,

Definitely an odd story. However people who claim to have experienced location slips are almost universal in thier details of their particular cases..
Most times thier locations are said to be in wildly different places than where they were a moment before, or in what seems to be in completely different time periods with completely different scenery or people..
Yours doesn't seem to quite match up with those, as it appears you were in the same spot but you and the others didn't seem to percieve each other..
I'd say it was momentary occurence of synchronicity in each parties perceptions failing to be aware of each other for a moment; but then I wasn't there; and you were very young at the time..I suppose there's a host of explanations that could suffice here..

I think Falco has the most probable explaination. I don't think you were transported to another dimension or anything like that.

its a simple case of shock
i had it plenty in my childhood as my parents were as irresponsible as yours sound. there for a fell victim to a large number of near fatal accidents, but still fun never the less.
the mind blanks out traumatic and sometimes painful events leaving a rather blured or hazy recollection of a certain event.
as much as i too would like to belive i travelled back and forth in time or perhaps visited some other dimention, that is far from the truth.
