Does anyone know where I might find a tutorial for Photo shop 8?

I have photoshop 7, so I can't really help you there, but what kind of a tutorial are you looking for?... Just how to use it and what does what?

Basically everything can be found at http://good-tutorials.com contrary to what they might say, all of the photoshops are alike. I've use everything from seven up and figured my way around just by knowing how to use 7.

From each version of photoshop to the next, there are very little changes. To be honest I've gone through atleast 4 versions now and the only difference I can find between them is that some buttons have moved and the general layout differs slightly. You can use a tutorial intended for any version, on any version, and it should work fine.
