A woman and her 4 year old son are visiting a border town on the Mexican side of the Texas/Mexico border. As they are walking towards the border crossing to return to the U.S., a man runs up to her and takes her child. She immediately runs to the authorities and a search ensues.

The lady and the authorities begin walking among the cars looking for her son. The woman spots her child in a truck a couple of rows over. Her son is laying his head on the shoulders of man and appears to be sleeping.

As the authorities close in on the vehicle, the driver jumps out of line and makes a run for it. As they are driving off, the passenger opens his door and dumps the child out into the street. As the woman and the authorities reach the child they find, to their horror, that the child has not only been murdered but has been cut open and illegal drugs have been put inside his body.

It appears that the persons in the vehicle were drug smugglers and had decided to kidnap a child, kill them and place the drugs in the body. They would then hold the child as they approached the border and the border agents would think that the child was quietly sleeping on the shoulder of the passenger

wow... is that true? well regardless, that's quite an interesting story... and such a horrible thing to do. and i wonder if it would work.. don't you think the blood would stain everything and make it noticable? but that's a good idea, not right but a fairly good way to get illegal drugs across the border.

thats one of the sickest things i have ever read. how horrible to see your child like that. it makes my stomache turn.

thats sick... but sadly, It wouldn't suprise me if there were ay truth to this story... it seems that when people want something badly enough, they will find a way to make it happen...

I've read that people often use babies in drug smuggling operations. Although I've never read about gutting one - yuck. Diapers and cans of powder formula filled with drugs.

That is one of the most disturbing things I've ever heard, true or not. Drug smugglers are without a doubt ruthless, but it's really hard for me to fathom doing something like this to a child.

this is quite an urban myth around here and i dont know if its true at all. I live in San Antonio Texas which is a few hours from mexico. ive heard this a million times down here and i just shudder when i do.

i dont think its true cause i dont think they let u have a kid ontop of a passenger in a car, doesnt everyone have to be seated? like on hteir own place? and they would need to see documentaition of the kids unless they got fake and what if the border guy/girl asks to wake the kid for questionss?

It's a disgusting urban myth. They put finger stalls up childrens rearends and dope them but a sniffer dog would smell that the child is dead and react.

Yes this is sick and horrific, and I hope and pray its not true, but people that are involved in the drug smuggling bushiness are more than not evil and emotionless people, so it would not surprise me.

This reminded me of something I was told when I was about 12 by a friend on a sleep over, we where telling each other scary stories, he was from South Africa and told me a story about something that happened in his town where he lived. I was going to post it on here a few weeks ago, but decided against it, as its even more shocking than the one in this thread. My freind said it did happen it was in all the papers, and he was not someone to lie, he was a honest christain guy.

This sounds like a urban legend. I have 2 children and this freaked me out even though I don't believe.

I seriously hope this one has no truth to it.
But i wouldnt doubt it if it did. Some people are raised to feel nothing.

This is clearly not true.

1. Why would the drug-smugglers kidnap a child as it was preparing to cross the border? Wouldn't this just increase the police presence in that immediate area? It would make more sense to kidnap a child way away from the border crossing.
2. Wouldn't the mother herself pursue her kidnapped child while screaming at the top of her lungs for help rather than going to notify the proper authorities?
3. Why would the kidnapper steal a child from its mother's possession. There are all kinds of young children over there who walk around unsupervised (this is actually disturbing to see).
4. It is unlikely that the kidnapper/drug-smuggler would be there with the dead child just sitting in line. Although the story does not give any time-line, it seems as though this happens in a relatively short period of time.
5. I live on the Texas side of the Texas/Mexico border and have been over there a few times (not too often) and when waiting in line in your car to cross the international bridge back into freedom, the lines are long, crowded, and slow. Also, the streets over there are narrow and crowded near the border and it is unlikely that this guy would be able to quickly get out of line in his vehicle and begin a high-speed chase.
6. If they went to all the trouble to kidnap, gut, and stuff a child with drugs, the stuff must have been pretty valuable. Why would he just have thrown it out of the vehicle before taking off?

I've heard of horses being used. They'd stuff it up their rears, and hope for the best, I guess.

With the time frame it just wouldn't be possible. Besides, wouldn't the child start to smell in the heat? (Assuming this were to happen in Summer). Also, I agree with catinthehat, why would they go through all the trouble to gut a child, sew them back up with the drugs inside, and then just throw it all out the window.

It is a pretty disgusting story though

i've read news articles about this kind of thing being done to puppies, but slightly different. their stomachs would be cut open, the packs of drugs would be inserted, and they would be sewn back up before being shipped to their destination. horrible, to say the least...
