The Chupacabra King
THE MAN-EATING PLANTS OF THE CONGO

AS SEEN BY EXPLORERS AND SCIENTISTS, THESE PLANTS EAT FLIES AND LARGE ANIMALS.

This was the sign owned by P.T. Barnum, the circus dude and cryptozoologist of 1920 something.
The sign was displayed in front of a Venus fly-trap and pitcher plant. People guessed that they could grow to amazing heights and could eat human beings.
Nope. no.gif
They were stupid, just like today's witnesses that blame everything on unnatural objects or events. (ex: UFO's alien.gif )
Venus fly-traps do eat flies, but not humans.
And they don't grow huge.
They just grow about 4 inches.

Sincerely,
The Chupa-King in the Congo
Peace out, and Peace in!

I have heard of a lot of strange stuff, both nothing like plants that eat humans. The largest carnivorous plant I have heard of exists in SE Asia. It is a huge plant that smells like rotten meat and uses that to lure large insects, small birds, and other small animals down into the large, tub like flower where they drown in water then sink to the bottom where acids and enzymes digest them. I cannot remember for the life of me the name of this thing though.
