Full Version: Girl goes mad...disturbing warning
4 girls who knew each other had a taken part in a medical school, as they wanted to be nurses.Now 3 of the girls were friends 4ever, but the 4th was a quite,dweebish,dumb one.They LOVED playing pranks on her.She screamed and shook and all that.However, lately, she looked a bit round-the-bend.Y' know, muttering to hereself and that.The 3 girls decised to play a huge, supoer-scary prank.They put an amputated leg in her bed while she was asleep, and waited for her to wake up(It was about 6:00am, so they didn't have to wait TOO long)They heard a scream from the dorm and sniggered.But then they heard gnawing and laughing.They opened the door and screamed at the sight.On top of the bed, the girls was on all fours, happily munching on the leg!She was laughing and shaking.The girls ran to tell someone and the girl eventually got put in the nearest insane asylum.

not so much... it seems that either there is a punch line missing or someone wrote a really boring short story
It's more of a moral story than an urban legend. Be nice to your friends or your constant annoyances (uhum mr ed) may push them over the edge. Still it's one of the more realistic tales on this forum

Maybe the joke was on them and she knew they were doing the prank and thought it would be funny to be chewing on the leg when they came in haha.

I think the moral of this story should be something along the lines of 'raw meat can be bad for your health, make sure you cook it properly'.

This story is a bit unrealistic, don't you think? Not just that the one girl inexplicably starts eating the leg. How did her friends get access to an amputated leg in the first place? Seems those girls would have gone up to juvie for that, once they freaked and called someone.
Unless it was a rubber leg, but then I hardly think you'd get sent to an insane asylum for chewing on a rubber leg. They're pretty tasty. I like mine with maple syrup.
Anyhow, this story has many holes. Too many to be taken as anything more than an urban legend.

I've never heard of this one before. The discription of the girl chewing of the leg was funny.

I don't believe it at all. Just way too corny.
Can't be real and IF for some odd reason it is, then there not really her friends if they keep pulling pranks on her like that.
Getting hold of a leg/arm would be fairly easy if they were in medical school as they have cadavers for the doctors and stuff to practice on.

This isn't meant to be confrontational, but just because it's on snopes as true/false/unconfirmed doesn't make it so. I just have a pet peeve about people saying things are what they are because snopes said so.
That story is incredibly false.. I think. She was knawing on the leg? It seems a little like a stupid horror movie. But I could be wrong...

I have a book of Urban Legends, and it explains the girls are at a nursing school, Snuffy, also, in the variation I was reading, it was a hand.

However , when I moved to investigate further I discovered I must have been waving my hand in the air during the night (I often do things like that in my sleep) and ended up with the arm laying above my head. Moving it was a huge effort because it was such a dead weight, plus the lovely pins 'n' needles as the blood started flowing in it again.
Needless to say, when I first saw the arm I thought of this legend and was tempted to start gnawing on it! (Lady fingers... they taste like lady fingers...)

There is a difference between an innocent prank and going waaaaaay.... to far though.
Personally I don't believe this actually happened. Second of all while there are corpses kept in freezers there aren't just discarded limbs laying around. In fact limbs severed during mock autopsies and what have you are packed up into biomedical waste boxes sealed and frozen in a locked storage unit until someone comes to pick it up and take it to an incinerator.
So no they just can't get access because they go to med school.

Please god, don't let this turn into one of those "words that aren't racist otherwise being portrayed as that" thread. Generally, yes, it is spelt "snickered" (as above) though. I think it's one of those ones that depends on where you come from.
