I am watching Most Haunted on the Travel Channel right now. This show may have been in America for awhile but I watch the travel channel and haven't seen it once. I see why alot of you think this show is staged. The show is so rediculous and why would you ever listen to a psychic. All that they prove is that they are either fakes or schitzo. How did this show last in England?
PS. Ghost Hunters on the Sci-Fi channel is so much more entertaining and is believable. They also get results and present them at the end of every show and they don't always get something.

[]Have you ever heard of of a show called Scariest places on Earth....each week a normal family would be left in an haunted castle or old monastery. One of the most interesting episode i seen was one on this castle in England called Chillingham.I was wondering if anyone heard of this castle and any recent events there

I love Scariest Places. I think some of it may be stagehands freaking them out, but it's very entertaining. My hubby asked me if I'd go on this show. I told him emphatically "No!" I know it may be staged, but I'm still scared of the dark. No way.
And Sub X, I just got done watching this evening's episode a while ago. These guys are hilarious. Very entertaining. That Derek Acorah? is quite the actor. I know some don't share that opinion, but there it is. And Yvette? Well, that would be me on an investigation. That's why I don't do it. You need a calm head.

And I'm anxiously awaiting the return of Ghost Hunters.

I no loads of people don't share the same opinion as me but I think most haunted IS real, they would have more interesting stuff if it was fake!!
Also the fear in their faces is genuine, you can just tell. And Derek Acorah can be abit fake sometimes but you guys gotta admit that he does come up with some pretty good stuff, although i do like David Wells better cos he does sound more real and i don't think he can fake it!!!!
And Yvette is sooo funny, i would be soo much like her if i was to go on a show like this, i just loved it when she got stuck in quicksand, i watched it on the dvd and played the scene about ten times lol

I used to be an avid Most Haunted fan when i first started watching it on Ftn, i saw it from the start of the first series and have watched the show progress into what it is today. I have to say after seeing some of the earlier shows, they are much better and more believable than what the show is today. What is it with table tipping anyway!?

Anyway i feel the show has gone downhill. Whether its real or not, im not sure to be honest. I feel some of the "evidence" they get may be true but others...well...it may of "occured" to raise the ratings. Also im not sure about Derek, ive had a reading with him in febuary. It was quite believable and ive looked at possible and logical reasons to how he got the information about me and my family, and i just dont see HOW he could of been cold reading, or faking etc. Oh well hes a nice guy anyway!

Scary!!!!!!
I officially apologise on behalf of the UK for the infliction of most haunted, first we give them the spice girls and now this, its embarrassing to say the least, I just hope Uncle Sam can forgive our sins lol
People need to start thinking and see what most haunted is, a money making fake empire, exploiting the venerable and making a mockery of the supernatural.....
All the best

Lol Faeden.
It seems like the women like the show because they like the men, as if could never lie because they are cute. Not a very good way to judge a show really. >.<
The show that was on MTV called Fear was a pretty good show. People were scared, things happened, they got paid. The reason it's still not on is because the MTV audience is full of teanagers and most of them don't want to see that kind of thing and or are not interested.

Now, just because we like the show doesn't mean we believe (not all of us, anyway). I can look the most handsome guy in the world in the face and call him a big fat liar if the situation warrants. You know, "Kiss me, you big fat liar!"

Oh, and Fear was awesome. I think the majority of the "paranormal activity" was generated by the MTV crew. It was still funny!

I watched this last night. I can't say I was too impressed. It would just be too easy for a member of the crew to be pulling those books and tossing them around. And don't get me started on the seance (sp?)
Can't say I was too convinced.

I watched it for the first time on friday as well..some of it does seem fake but the locations seem really interesting. Some of the cast are easily frightened and overreact to noises plus they just bolt after being in a dark room for a couple of minutes but it is entertaining to watch and will continue watching future episodes. I think it would be awesome to do a vigil in the dark in a "haunted" room.

I've been taping Most Haunted all week from the Travel Channel, and just finally got a chance to watch them tonight. I haven't decided yet if I believe it or not---seems like everything that happens (and why do SO many things happen each episode?) is never caught on camera (except for the orbs coming out of the mirror, but I guess you could fake that too with a computer...). And they don't seem to be very professional at all---Yvette, is that her name?, seems to burst into tears every episode from being so scared...there's no way I'd let her go on any investigation I was on, with her being so hysterical about everything that happens... However, I do like the fact that they seem to offer an explanation after each episode...even when the psychic was "possessed," the show suggested that he might have been faking.

I've never seen one single bit of anything on that show that even remotely resembles a true paranormal event. At least "Ghost Hunters" on the scifi channel has had a moment or two that deserves serious thought or consideration.
I turned off that crap when one of the supposed "ghosts" was a barrel rolling back and forth on some kind of track. You know the situation - they set it up as some "ghost" by having one of the guys hear this creeky noise in the distance to get you from changing the channel. And then when he/she gets there it's some ridiculous laugh-out-loud moment like the one I witnessed.
Most of the paranormal on t.v. is or is nearly 100% "Hollywood" nonsense.

I have just recently seen Most Haunted. The new episodes come on every Friday, but every week night at 1:00AM or 2:00AM they show an episode. Atleast in the midwest USA.
Here is my problem with the show. It seems overly dramatic, and the psychics are able to recall historical happenings sometimes credible, sometimes not. Whos to say they haven't researched every murder that has occured in each location, and just spewing it out while acting dramatic. The camera work is pitiful, and I don't mean the quality of picture. I mean the low amount of cameras and people recording, no EVP recorders. In one episode they are up in a room that has several books on the wall. The begin falling and hitting people. Because they only had a few people recording no one was able to catch it. If they had a stationary camera watching the room, they would have some of the most convincing ghost footage ever, but coincedently (sp?) they put all the stationary cameras in other rooms. They always seem so convinced before they are ready to doubt their happenings.
And here is why I praise Ghost Hunters. They want to debunk as much as possible. They hardly consider orbs. They are very effecient as well. Having many cameras from many angles. But I do have a problem with Ghost Hunters. GET ANOTHER SEASON GOING!!! I NEED IT!
None the less, all of the ghost investigation shows are interesting and worth watching.

Kick all the psychics off the show and plant camera's all around the haunted places they investigate and you've got yourself a show. Or just kick the psychics off the show...

If they did that with legitimate parapsychologists you'd have a great show. Problem is, I doubt that people with real professional credentials would ever be involved in any sort of "ghost" television show.

Hello I am a ghost Hunter from South Carolina, I would love to go on an investigation with the crew of Most Haunted. I would like to see whats real and whats not. There are lots of Haunted places all around South Carolina from the mountains to the coast. If they ever see this maybe they will ask. I have tried e-mailing the guys on Ghost Hunters about coming the SC but get no response from them. Are they afraid they may really see or feel a ghost???? Wish they would contact me to prove they are what they want us to believe, I am looking for more people that are interested in ghost hunting. If you are from SC and you would like to join in please contact me. :tu: :innocent: :sk

I was suckered into this show hook line and sinker. If it was staged then the gentleman they had channeling was pretty good. I saw the one over the weekend that dealt with the underground jail. Where the evil entity Michael had been wreaking havoc. I felt that some of it was staged but it was pretty scary regardless...

Blue Peter was (and maybe still is) a kids TV show from England, it has been around for absolutely years (started in the 60's I believe). Anyhoo, the presenters where usually kinda wacky, taking everyday issues like the environment or other things and making them fun for kids to understand. They were always doing fundraising stuff and had bands on and that kinda thing. It was good, the presenters were just annoying tho...

Hi Hoagy
Isn’t it just ironic that Blue Peter’s famous saying was "And here is one I prepared earlier" fits well for Most Haunted too dont you think? Maybe if they adopted that saying on Most Haunted it might sum the show up a little better, and give them some level honesty.

Yvette must have learned everything she knows that she learned from the Blue Peter Halloween specials, and applied it to Most Haunted, it would not surprise me if soon a home made witch flew by the screen soon, as they are running out of ideas, and based on what some of the other things that have been on there, a home made witch floating across the screen with Yvette cackling in the back ground doesn’t sound that far fetched
