I have started my own web-only radio station called Nowhere Radio.
It airs weeknights from 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET.

The station plays primarily indie, alternative, acoustic, post-punk, some metal/hardcore. I'll also play your band if you're willing to send an mp3 or two.

You can send requests and submissions to xpinky@comcast.net.
The forum is here: Forums

Rock on. Do you talk on it, and/or take requests?

I take requests at xpinky@comcast.net

Later on I plan on doing some talking, just like intros or whatnot.
Or if I start getting questions during a broadcast I will answer them on-air.

do you play any Floyd?
Ausaria
My first official broadcast is right now (I'm about 1/5 through the playlist).

And I could play some Floyd. grin2.gif

I doubt it. I use Shoutcast, which streams in a .pls format that is made for Winamp.

You could try it, though.

Radio stations are a fun thing to broadcast. For about a month I broadcasted a metal/rock radio station from my PC onto Shoutcast. Didn't get too many listeners [About 5] but it was still quite fun.

I'm wondering, are you just using your PC to host, or do you have a computer setup for broadcasting? I'm also wondering what you have set for your server load and what your connection is. Just a few tech tidbits.
Battlestar Scralatchtica
cool I have one too. It's on launch though. It has indie, heavy metal, black metal, christian, some mainstream, some emo, gothic.
