Now I do not have any direct sources to quote, I have spent a night or two trolling websites trying to find information and have found a bit on this subject. However, I can name the source that got me interested in this subject; the Coast to Coast AM radio show. There was a short mention by the host about 'another' murder of a microbiologist and cited a couple more incidences that happened previously. The show has continued to keep up on the subject with new updates.
Unfortuneately, I have precious little information. I have listed all my info here. Items marked with an asterisk are info which I have corroberated from at least two sources.
*For years, microbiologists have been murdered or have died suspiciously.
For the most part, the bodies were burned after death, or as the means of death.
This is a recent phenomenon, only taking place over the past few years, maybe up to fifteen years.
*The proportionate rate of murders and mysterious deaths among microbiologists is impossibly high when compared to other occupational demographics. I forget the numbers, but it comes down to a 1/10,000,000,000 chance of these deaths and murders being coincidental and unconnected.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? I am not calling this a conspiracy or anything, it is just something I felt was rather odd when I heard it. If anyone has info, please tell. This subject has me very interested.

I know what you may be thinking( like accidents) that might be Job Related. That would be a hard one to track down. I would think O.S.H.A. or the Workmens Compensation Data Base may have the Information, but getting it may be a head ache. And if it was a Government Run Lab, well we have all seen what happens in the Movies!

I would think if the Numbers were really out of proportion, one of the Major News Services would have caught wind of it. And of course some of the Internet Radio Programs are not held at to as high a standard like the FCC controlled Media!

All of the individual cases I have heard of are either involving automobiles or fire...One sticks out in my head though. How does a guy shoot himself in the temple three times?
All I am saying is that something is going on here. I am normally not a conspiracy theorist, but this one has got me a little twitched. I think there might be something here.

Have you posted this in the Cospiracy theory section?, you may be able to get some more information from the members who frequent that section of this forum!

Well, that is the thing. I posted it here and not the CT forum because I wanted to get people who actually knew something, not people who thought they knew.

As a microbiologist, I've not heard anything of this sort...certainly, it was never mentioned in the univeristy prospectus. I don't honestly see any reason why my ilk and I would be more likely to be murdered than anyone else.
