A mystery from the 1940's when hunters and ranchers began witnessing a half man, half beast like creature roaming the woods near Fouke, Arkansas. All Accounts indicates that this creature stands alittle over six feet tall with a slender build, long legs and arms, and completely covered by orangish black hair. It was spotted by a policeman one late autumn evening as it crossed the highway in front of him, the creature running at speeds of 30 to 35 miles per hour. They found foot prints, and they looked at the plaster of Bigfoot's tracks, and compared it to the creatures. The thing different from Boggy and Bigfoot, the Boggy monster has three toes.
This is a different Bigfoot I believe. Shorter, faster, and skinnier. What do you guys think?

I'd say it is a bigfoot just a little different. All people aren't exactly the same why would you think all bigfoots are? As for the three toes....maybe he was hurt or just had a deformity in his feet, it happens thumbsup.gif

I took a trip to the Fouke, AR area where all this occurred last week. The swamp area came right up to within a mile of town up to about 10 years ago, now a four lane highway intersects Boggy Creek and most of the swamp land has been drained. From all accounts, this creature resembles a bigfoot except for the three toes, and who is to say that it isn't a different species of bigfoot, or even a birth defect for that particular creature. There are also a lot of reports of 3 toed creatures being sighted all the way from Florida (Skunk Ape) to Texas, and one Bigfoot hunter has claimed that with the encroachment of man on their territory, and the decrease in numbers, they have had to start inbreeding with each other, which produces birth deformities to include missing toes. IMHO I would say it is a bigfoot, just maybe a result of inbreeding or even injuries (like maybe a alligator taking a chomp on the creature). thumbsup.gif

I knew I shouldn't have gone skinny dipping in that creek. Now the world hates me and they think I am bigfoot.

I heard about this legend while i was watching a episode oif survivorman a while back.

But, it has two long strands infront of it's face, it runs at 35 miles per hour. It has bear like claws. It might be a different Bigfoot. Bigfoot is over seven feet tall. Where as Boggy reaches almost the hight of the comedian and actor of the Drew Carry Show, Ryan Stiles, who is 6'6" tall. The Boggy is possible only 6'8". It also is more aggressive, it attacked a man, wrestleing it. It also killed a kitten with it's looks. No physical injury.

Also, I found a DVD about this creature, and it's vocals are very diferent from Bigfoots. I am still trying to get more research on BoggyMan, help me out guys.

Crow: Hey! He went from five year old size to Kermit Size!
Mike: I can see the dude's arm inside of him.

It wasnt a real documentary dude, it was based on facts, but the director really played with it imaginatively. When you talk to people around there (the older folks) they will tell you that they really expanded on what happened there. The cat story was added for good measure to the story, it never happened. And the story about the kid getting attacked in the bathroom, while the basis for that story actually happened, they changed a lot of it in the movie to make it more exciting to watch.

If you want to do some research, I would recommend doing a search for Smoky Crabtree, he is the person who has had the most contact with the creature, and he has several books that you can buy about the subject.

As for the vocals used on the movie, they were produced in the studio.

Can't believe everything you see in the movies, even the specials on the travel channel about bigfoot and ghosts add a lot of imagination to keep you watching it.

My group tracks the bigfoot around in Oklahoma, and have made several trips to Fouke, AR, and bigfoot doesn't necessarily have to be 6 feet or more. Why do you think we have height-disadvantaged people in this world. (Being Politically Correct here) We all can't be six foot tall, so why not bigfoot having the same problem. As for the bear claws, I don't ever recall anyone ever saying he had those, more than likely he has long fingernails or toenails that create that illusion.

I am still putting information on the site, but check out my Fouke, AR page at the following website Green Country Cryptozoological Association, it has some pics of the area, and I will soon have some of the info gathered from interviews with some of the folks there.

the original legend of boogy creek was a decent b movie when it came out in the 70s.even maryanne(dawn wells) from gilligan's army was in it. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif
almost as good as the even cheesier alleged true story movie,"The Town That Dreaded sundown."which also took place in arkansas.
ripped_fx
Not to sound like a smart a$$ or anything, but Dawn Wells was in Return to Boggy Creek, not the original, AND she was on Gilligan's Island, not Army. thumbsup.gif
