Greetings folks, it's your old pal Insight, back from my travels. It's been almost 6 months since I said a heart felt good bye to my friends at UM, and I see there are alot of new faces around. It's amazing how much things can change in half a year. I see my old nemesis/friend aquatus1 is still making the rounds. Other than that, I didn't recognize many names, but I have only been here about 3 minutes thus far.

In any case, to those who know me, I was quite the notorious dabater here on UM. This place was a hobby of mine. I learned alot from the people here, and I even managed to convince a few 12 year olds that they didn't have x-ray vision/ controlled the weather! *chuckles* Aside from that, I have missed this place greatly. But right now, I need to tour around a bit. After that, I'll post on how my travels were, and what I was up to (Spent a bit of time at a monastary, of all places).

But it feels good to be back. I missed this place!

Well welcome back then....I sort of remember you although I joined about the time you left. I remember your debates with a few people, especially on this section. ...mustardkinesis...correct?

Well this place has gone downhill since then. A lot of silly people claiming that they possess all sorts of powers and are willing to teach others too or ask for help like any of the others would know. I would recommend a good nights sleep before you read any of them....

I agree it has gone rather downhill... I've left pretty much permanently .. first time I've popped in since probably when you left Insight... but honestly the amount of needless insults and retorts and poitnless subjects of people who choose not to use the search button... it's ridiculous.... sometimes BioMage you aren't any better then the ones you claim have a problem though, you know.

I have lost it lately because 9 out 10 posts is the same kind of junk. I am just saying what the rest of you are not, try to be politically correct. Being nice and accomodating has only resulted in people like you leaving. And its not like the moderators lock these threads anymore....

Actually nicities and accomodation is what keeps people here. It is the opposite that chases them away. Snide comments and low blows, making it out that their opinions are somehow worth less. People may not mean it to come across that way but it does.

As my dad says, It's not what message that is intended, it is what message is recieved that matters.

Oh and there are 8 moderators for a forum of 20,000 members. It can't be easy chasing down every little thing, especially when you get people being indignant and demanding why their nice thread was closed or why their post was deleted.

Wot Potty said is 100% correct, I left because all people did was snipe at each other, insult each other and stomp on their beliefs.

I preferred the much more civilised time when sure we got people who probably sounded absurd to a lot of people but they didn't just call them "mentally unstable" or the likes they merely gave their opinion and some sort of argument to back their opinion up... not just saying "No you're wrong" they gave a reason why.

And again with her edit she has it right.

My piano teacher has me flat out because I have "gift" ... gah... I'm wishing I didn't... she expects so much of me... and exams later this year... exams freak me out... gah.. fourth grade....again.. too much expected of me... have to get A's ^^ though I get angry with myself if I don't I got so angry at my last exam.. I missed out on the highest grade just because I couldn't name the interval (I was off by one T_T). and I'm doing piano work all the way from the lowest grade to the second highest grade-preliminary-grade 7-... *faints* on top of school work and everything else.. it can get kinda .. hectic...
How boot you? Still in the band with the crazy teacher *O_O*

Well I should sleep...

But I dunno whether it will.... a lot of insulting seems to go on unoticed... *shrugs*

i also left for about 5 months or so because of the overwhelming amount of insults that suddenly came uncalled for and several threads about people being able to set their hands on fire at will. I believe in pyrokinesis, but that's just ridiculous.

As yes, the spontaneous human combustion thread was most enlightening. I still attempt to maintain that it is a phenomena that has been explained by moderne science, I have not yet settled on the issue, and am perhaps less settled then I was previously. I've been studying "leylines" (disregard if this term is foreign to you, tough I doubt it is) and I think there may be a pattern to said human combustion, regardless if the phenomena is explainable or not...

Hey, Zudo! I remember you well! It's been a long time. I can see many things are changed. My health is doing excellent however! I have been wor4king out alot. I have gained 20 lbs. from my previous 170, and am now a healthy wight of 190 lbs. at age 23. I'm looking fairly buff, If I may say so myself, heh heh. But it's good to be able to honestly say I am healthy and happy.

The spontaneous human combustion thread made a very good discussion indeed and yes, I have read about ley lines, very interesting, we can discuss them in another thread perhaps. Anyways, I'm glad to see you back and will look forward to your posts.

Things go and things stay, I have really grown out of the Metaphysics forum and gained more presence in the Spirituallity forum.
