Is Laffeyette College(Pennsylvania) Haunted? I can't find any information about it. Somebody told me that all colleges could be. So can anyone find a link or anything that relates to this subject? The only thing strange that happened to me there was in the dining room, ice came out of the soda machine by itself. Its either a ghost or someone used it to much. That's why I want to know.

I think you're going to have a problem wondering if a specific place if haunted and then trying to find information about whether it is or isn't so. It usually operates the other way round.

Why? When I was a child my mother told me that drinking too much Coca Cola makes your penis shrink but even then I questioned the veracity of this.

That's not what you'd call a real Ghostbusters - Sixth Sense - Ghost of Christmas Past type of paranormal experience, really, is it - and that's probably your answer, right there.

Cynicism is the sixth sense.

AlienSama, I cannot find anything about Lafayette college being haunted, but did find a site with a listing of all places haunted in Pennsylvania. I don't know if you've already found such a site, but here is the link:

In the meantime, if you find something else let us know! grin2.gif

I have been told that University of South Alabama's small theater is haunted. My husband and his friends apparently saw some werid events occur while they were practicing with their theater group.

Any place in the world has the potential to be haunted, but you shouldn't believe it just based on Urban Legend. All colleges have their own legends, heck all people know of at least a few urban legends and probably grew up fearing at least one. I grew up believing the Bloody Mary legend and am still unwilling to test the theory in a mirror! Legends are powerful, especially when ingrained at a young age when we are so much more susceptible to indoctrination. I saw a preview the other day for Ghost Whisperer this friday and they are doing an episode about Bloody Mary, I'm actually a little afraid to watch it and that show isn't really that scary - come on in it's an 8 o'clock time slot. I'm sure I'll watch it anyway, love the show, but I'm already counting on not sleeping friday night. Bottom line, the school could be haunted but don't make your decision about it based on hearsay.

Good post. Every day someone mentions a haunted city, state, college, building etc. I would say there are hauntings everywhere, in our homes, in our near by stores, abandoned buildings, occupied buildings, cemeteries, funeral homes, hospitals etc. The list is endless...JN
