Hmm. Interesting language skills there.

He not be real (LOL)

. He's an
ILLUSIONIST. His secret is
how he performs the illusion. The same freaking secret every other illusionist, like myself, keeps.
Illusionist n- someone who performs magic tricks to amuse an audience [syn: magician, prestidigitator, conjurer, conjuror]

I will agree with that. The helmet and mask concealed the rider's face, so that is VERY likely.

I perform several of the tricks that Indian fakirs have performed for many, many years. Most of them are just tricks. Many people you see on the streets performing these are cons...swindlers....performing nothing but mere tricks. Dancing Dolls, turning raw rice into cooked rice with no heat source, simple tricks using a little science knowledge. Swallowing glass, razor blades, needles, and drinking nitric acid...all those are NOT tricks. I've performed them for years with great skill....Let me clarify something...the glass eating, blade swallowing, and acid drinking are NOT tricks..in fact, they implore skill and extensive training. I would not try this at home without doing some studying and research on the matter.

I watched both episodes tonight. He seems a bit eccentric with the whole rock star image, but we are who we are. As for the levitations he did...it all looked pretty clear cut to me. No strange camera angles, no tables or cables...people freaking out...plus levitating total strangers never mind himself.
It seems to me that this man is offering the proof so many are asking for. He also demonstrates telekinetic abilities. I've seen many on this board say "if someone has these abilities, they would be in the media, on camera proving it!"... well, here it is. Just my opinion, and please, respect that and nobody call me a naive fool.
You are not naive, you are entitled to your opinion. As for me I was truly amazed by his ability to levitate.did you see the way he prepares himself for this?the way he breathes? If this is just a trick, its a damn good one! Also his brother showed a picture of Criss levitating when he was 12 years old!CRAZY STUFF!!!!!!!

As with just about anything else, no amount of convincing evidence to the contrary, such as video's and or experienced and rational comments by other magicians is going to change the minds of those determined to believe otherwise. This is indeed unfortunate, of course, but in the end they are only decieving themselves, so where's the harm? You do a disservice to the illusionists, however, who make a living performing their magic by posting links to video's that give away the secrets behind the illusions. That is not acceptable, not on this forum, anyway.

Did you know that for David Blaine's last ABC special, his company ran an ad in the newspaper classifieds casting for "extras" for his special? Why would he need "extras" cast? Because they're stooges, plants, people that are in on the trick. David Blaine's effects he performs are (regrettably) available at most magic dealerships. I have seen another very gifted illusionist preform the illusion of someone stepping through his body, his name is David Copperfield. I seen this illusion in person not on the television. It was a very similar illusion to the arm through the body you mentioned. Remember the entertainment value of an illusionist is in the mystery of "How did he do that?". Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of Chris Angel but I am also a realist, and the reality is he is a very gifed illusionist nothing more.

For any non-yanks that don't beleive in such crap Chris Angel is an illusionist and a quick search on google explains how he does his levitation trick. Other tricks are done using actors who act as audience members and clever video editing. While others are done (the one where he climbs thru a glass window) with one continuos shot. Not wanting to spoil it for anyone but what happens when the camera is focusing on his shoes. Ha ha ha.

Ok everyone please listen. Chriss Angel is an extremely good magician. A magician. A magician creates ILLUSIONS of supernatural powers to entertain people. Sure Chriss Angel can levitate two feet into the air....using a very clever gimick. I myself can levitate 5 inches into the air....using a very clever method. How is it that David Blaine can throw a card through a glass window? Its a trick. How is it that Uri Geller bends spoons? Its a trick.
In fact, Chriss Angel has NEVER once claimed to have any supernatural powers at all. He even released two DVDs that gave the secret to two of his tricks. One is were he apparently puts a signed quarter through a sealed soda can. The other teaches his levitation. I own both. He clearly states that he is just a magician. I have even heard that he doesnt even believe in the paranormal. Magicians are so popular because they do tricks that defy explanation to the people viewing them. When you watch him levitate onto a chair, you cannot think of any possible natural explanation. But he does it using totally natural means.
Enjoy his magic for the entertainment, but do not mistake him for some supernatural/satanic, or otherwise paranormal practicioner. He is a magician. Magicians produce effects that defy explanation for purposes of entertainment. There is nothing more to it.
Bad methodology there. How about taking the other route. Admit that you can be fooled. It is best to assume that they are tricks considering he refers to himself as a magician. The only way i would conceed that he had some powers is if he passed The Amazing Randi's one million dollar challenge. You dont see him running to have his "powers" tested do you? That is because he is an illusionist, a very good one at that.
Oh no. He said Randi. Not that moron.

Haha, got one of his tricks. Pretty neat, actually, and very difficult.
The one where he made a bet with the owner of some car dealership. The owner of the car-yard hid a set of keys somewhere in one of the cars in his massive lot and Criss Angel had to find it. The stakes - a hundred-grand against some flasy car or other.
Contrary to what many might think, this wasn't staged. Criss Angel did guess. The trick - Kinesthiology (science of movement)
Kinesthiology is something my dad studied quite a lot. The body has natural responses to what it perceives as good or bad. If someone holds out there arm and you push it down while they push back up, they'll be fairly strong. Give them a glass of organic natural juice and it will be even stronger. Give them a glass of coca cola and they crumple. That is what he used.
He tied a scarf around the guy's hand and led him with the other end, walking around the carpark until finding the right car. The further away from the keys he was, the stronger the arm would be. it's just natural. Using the scarf actually made it easier to do because he could pull and tug on the arm without the guy realising it.
That said, it's still an impressive feat to guage the kinesthiological response.
Sorry, just had to share

Regards, PA
