Sorry if this has already been discussed, the Search function wasn't working...

I was recently toying around with some EVP (Electric Voice Phenomenon) which was recently shown (though not accurately) in the movie White Noise. At first I was somewhat skeptical of the system, since really it just takes your words and jumbles them together hoping that some outside force will alter the outcome. I doubted the supernatural's effect on electronic devices (computers) and figured any actual results would be rare and coincidental.

When I first attempted EVP I got nothing after several tries. I figured I was right and the whole thing didn't work. Just as I was about to give up I read over the instruction document again. Upon realizing I was actually doing one of the steps out of order I tried it one last time. I was shocked.

My first question I asked was "How did you die?" the results were somewhat garbled but sounded like something was there (for those of you who want evidence, here is the unaltered response: Unaltered Response). After cutting out the beginning and end I got a clearer response, which is here: Altered Response. You can hear within the first second of it's response what sounds like "I was in an air plane wreck." If you hear anything else please give me some input, also I found that slowing it down in certain parts can make it easier to understand. Unfortunately my website is currently dead as far as space is concerned, so until I clean some space up this is all the evidence I can give.

Anyone with comments or EVP experiences, please post!

The program I was using was "EVPMaker", and the instructions I followed came from here: AA-EVP/Using EVPMaker

Thanks!

I have my reservations in regards of the true source of EVP, however certain recordings are simply beyond explanation at this time (assuming they are genuine). I think more need to be done to divine the nature of those sounds and perhaps indicate their origins.

At first the altered response sounded like gibberish, but then I used Audacity to slow it down and it made it quite clear. It sounds to me more like he is saying "Must have been a plane wreck." But...either there is a bit of an echo effect happening or there are 2 voices, one a somewhat higher pitch than the other.
