"The Encyclopedia Britannica states that Celtic language was derived from the Hebrew language! (11th edition, vol. 5) Hebrew and early Celtic language were almost identical. So much so that the article called “CELT” in volume 11 of Encyclopedia Britannica says, "For many centuries the affinities of the Celtic languages were the subject of great dispute. The languages were in turn regarded as descended from Hebrew, Teutonic and Scythian."

Baal or Baalim is mentioned over 80 times in the biible. And over 13 times in the book of Jeremiah. It is in reference to this sunworshipping religion that Jeremiah 10 says,""Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, (winter solstice) though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter....decorate it with silver and gold....) Sounds famiiar, doesn't it?

The point being they were keeping the way of the heathen... These Israelites were observing the solstices. (Be not dismayed at the signs of the heavens...ie winter solstice.) They set up images, (obelisks) groves, standing stones, etc....

"HUNT FOR THE LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL...THE BAAL CONNECTION

How much of what we do in religion actually does come from Jesus or from the bible at all for that matter? If you think about it, the bible really doesn’t say a whole lot about holy water, egg hunts, bunny rabbits and kids dressing up like demons. There is nothing from front to back, commanding us to bring a tree into the house in the wintertime....so where do all these and other religious traditions come from? Surprisingly, none of the holidays kept by modern churchianity are anywhere “commanded” in the bible at all! Most people would be shocked to learn that many “Christian” customs were ritually performed by Pagans for thousands of years before the birth of Christ! Some of these beloved traditions actually have sinister origins when examined historically.

To understand where religious traditions come from, and why people do what they do, we must go back to man’s early history and examine it with a fine toothcomb. Let’s start with the history of December 25th, and see what we can discover about this date, since it is perceived to be a Christian holiday yet it is also observed by Satan worshippers, Pagans, ancient Baal worshippers, by the Mayan and Incan Indians, the Pueblo, the Anasazi and other Indian tribes. Astoundingly all these groups and so many more revere December 25th.

The Winter Solstice and Human Sacrifice

Astronomically, the winter solstice falls on or around December 21st, or 22nd, but the naked eye can’t discern the return of the sun until December 25th.... Thus, the 25th was considered the birthday of the sun to the ancients. Each year, as the sun seemingly halted in the sky, sun worshipers truly desired to entice the sun to come back. It “dismayed” them to see the sun “stall” in the sky. Human sacrifice was practiced with the belief that it “re-energized” the sun with life. One of the ancient European names of the December 25th holiday, we now call Christmas was Midvinterblot, meaning “midwinter blood” or “midwinter sacrifice”. In South America, “the Maya believed that the heavenly bodies needed human help, which was provided through rituals such as self-mutilation, torture, and human sacrifice. To the Maya, offering this help was simply the price to be paid for the continued survival of the universe.”

Sun Worship, Baal and the Evergreen Tree

Anciently, the worship of Baal involved rites of human sacrifice of firstborn children up to the age of five by causing them to “pass through the fire to Molech.” “They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech...” Jer 32:34-35

Read from the Mythology of all Religions, vol. 5. “Living infants and children were BURNED IN THE FIRE to the god Molech during this time. This was the time of the winter solstice (Dec. 25th) when those heathen were dismayed at the signs of heaven!”

Let’s examine Baal worship in detail, since according to the bible, it was the very cause of the rejection of both Israel and Judah. “And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree....And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire....Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. (2 Kings 17:10, 16-20 KJV)

Note that Baal’s places of worship were set up “in every high hill, and under every green tree” The two most important requirements for the alter of Baal were elevation and evergreen trees. If the land was flat, they would construct manmade “high places” called stepped pyramids, Ziggurats or Sun Temples. And according to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the “green tree” mentioned here wasn’t just any old tree. They state that it means “any kind of evergreen tree, in its native soil.”

In fact, one of Baal’s many names, interestingly enough, was “Baal-bereth,” meaning “Lord of the Fir tree”. The evergreen tree is connected to the worship of Baal. In Jeremiah 2:20-23 it says, “For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot... A verse or two down it says, “How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim?”

You can look from front to back but you won’t find any requirement for evergreen trees in God’s religion. Literally millions of them are cut down every year and placed devotedly in homes, yet where is this particular practice commanded by God in the bible?

Jeremiah 10 certainly does sound like a description of the modern Christmas tree! But rather than commanding us to put a tree in our house, it says, “Thus says the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; (the winter solstice of December 25th) for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain, for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and gold, they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it moves not....” (Jeremiah 10:2-4 KJV) In fact, the whole book of Jeremiah mentions Baal or Baalim 13 times altogether and it is in connection with Baal worship that God is stating, “learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. (The signs of heaven that he alludes to is the December 25th winter solstice!) Sun worshippers were astronomers who clocked the movements of the sun, moon and stars as part of their religion. The winter solstice was fear provoking to them.....

Ever wonder why would people hang gold and silver balls on a tree? An article on Origins of Christmas Traditions gives an eye opening explanation! “Since the earliest of times, the pagans worshiped trees, especially evergreens. To them it represented life and freshness. Since it was EVERgreen, it always had life. The trees were worshipped as symbols of life, fertility, sexual potency, and reproduction. The evergreen tree represented a "PHALLIC" symbol (the man's sexual organ of reproduction) set in an upright position. Any wonder why people hang round balls on a tree?”

Read Jeremiah 2:23 NKJV "How can you say, 'I am not polluted, I have not gone after the Baals'? .... (27) Saying to a tree, 'You [are] my father,' And to a stone, You gave birth to me.” Go figure that one...but, it appears that the Christmas tree meant a whole lot more to them than we understand, vs. 27 infers that they felt this phallic symbol “was their father.... the author of their being, their god.” The Christmas tree must have represented Baal. Thus if the children were being sacrificed in honor of Baal, it makes sense that they would do it under the tree that represented him.

The words “green tree” (evergreen tree) are used 10 different times in the bible in connection with idolatrous worship and, in four cases, with child sacrifice. Baal worship required firstborn children to be burned alive by “passing through the fire to Molech” under a grove of evergreens. Can it be a coincidence that four different scriptures directly place child sacrifice and the evergreen tree in the same context?

1. Isaiah 57:5 “Enflaming yourselves with idols, under every green tree slaying the children, in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks...” The valley it is speaking of here is most likely The Valley of Ben Hinnom and according to Biblical Archaeology Review, this particular place of child sacrifice was near some overhanging cliffs. An idol called Molech was located there, which was a molten idol with a cow’s head at the top and a fire pit below. Outstretched arms held the victim. There was a pulley system that slowly raised the arms up to heaven and the child was dropped into the fire pit below! The sacrificial alter was located in a grove of evergreen trees. This scripture clearly depicts the act of child sacrifice. Most people would be appalled if they knew the origin of the tradition of “gifts” under evergreen trees. Then, even as now, this winter solstice holiday was perceived as a time of great “peace on earth”. Baal was supposedly satiated with these yearly sacrifices and all was well in the world.

2. II Kings 16:3,4 “he...made his son pass through the fire according to the abominations of the heathen.... and he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills and under every green tree.”

3. II Kings 17:10,16, 17 “and they set them up images and groves in every high hill and under every green tree.” “...and made them molten images, even two calves and made a grove (Asherah pole), and worshipped all the host of heaven and served Baal.” “and they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire...”

4. II Chronicles 28:3,4 “Moreover he burnt incense in the Valley of Hinnom and burnt his children in the fire....” “he sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.”

Christmas may not be mentioned by name in the bible but the words “gifts” and “tree” are in the same context with the sacrifice of children and the worship of idols. Read the following passage to see what God has to say about “gifts and trees.” Ezekiel 20:26,28, 31: “I let them become defiled through their GIFTS-the sacrifice of every first-born...” vs. 28 “When I brought them into the land that I had sworn to give them and when they saw any high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices...” vs.31 “When you offer your GIFTS -the sacrifice of your sons in the fire, you continue to defile yourselves with all of your idols to this day...” In The New English Translation of the Bible, there is a notation about the phrase “every leafy tree”. They inform us that this expression refers to evergreens, “because they keep their foliage throughout the year, providing apt symbolism for nature cults such as those practiced in Canaan.”

The priests of Baal wore black robes, just as many clerics do to this day, according to Adam Clarke’s commentary. In 2 Kings 23:5, the bible calls the priests of Baal “idolatrous priests” which is derived from the Hebrew word “kamar” meaning “to be black.” According to Adam Clarke’s Commentary, these priests were called “kemarim...meaning to be scorched...made dark, or black, because their business was constantly to attend sacrificial fires, and probably they were black garments; hence, the Jews in derision call Christian ministers kemarim, because of their black clothes and garments.” Clarke’s commentary continues to say, “Why we should imitate, in our sacerdotal dress, those priests of Baal, is strange to think and hard to tell.”

The whole nation of Israel had indeed come to the alter of Baal to worship. The prophet Elijah actually thought he was the only person left in Israel who wasn’t worshipping Baal! God reminded him that he had “seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal.” That’s not very many out of all of Israel. The Hebrew word for “bowed” here is “Kara” meaning “to bend the knee...to sink...stoop down...etc. There are several other words for “bow” in the bible, but “Kara” means specifically to dip the knee down. It refers to “genuflection” or the drooping of the knee when approaching the alter of Baal.

At a Tophet at Carthage, where Baal was worshipped, 20,000 cinerary urns were discovered with children’s ashes in them, and they found puzzling “cross motifs” at the site. Before the time of Jesus, the cross represented the sun god. “Crosses with arms of equal length were used frequently since time immemorial in pre-Columbian America, the Euphrates-Tigris region, and other parts of the world. That cross seems to have been associated with the sun and the powers that controlled the weather.....Sometime during the first centuries of the Western calendar the Latin cross was adopted by the Christian ideology. Still being associated with heavenly, and almighty lords both and even more so the sun god's staff.”

Speaking of the cross, Bullinger in The Companion Bible says, “crosses were used as symbols of the Babylonian sun-god...” “The evidence for its pagan origin is so convincing that The Catholic Encyclopedia even admits that "the sign of the cross, represented in its simplest form by a crossing of two lines at right angles, greatly antedates...the introduction of Christianity. It goes back to a very remote period of human civilization.”.


There are many supposedly Christian traditions that have suspicious origins. Most people never consider where the tradition of having a steeple on top of a church comes from....Do churchgoers ever wonder why almost every church has a steeple on top of it? Read from The Customs of Mankind by Eichler, “There are still in existence today remarkable specimens of original phallic symbols... steeples on the churches ...and obelisks ...all show the influence of our phallus-worshipping ancestors.” Baal worship involved phallus worship, so it is no surprise that all of Baal’s churches would have a phallic steeple.. The stone obelisk was another phallic symbol. “The word 'obelisk' literally means 'Baal's shaft' or Baal's organ of reproduction'.” (Page 341 Masonic and occult symbols illustrated. Dr. Cathy Burns) “Baal was a very common name of the principal male god...Among the Babylonians, he was called Bel” The obelisk is associated with sun-worship. According to Babylon, Mystery Religion, The erect upright pointed column represents the phallus, the male sex organ, of Baal (Nimrod).


Baal worship is no doubt tied to December 25th. And is the key to the identity of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. They went into captivity carrying this religion with them and they still have it to this day....


We need to straighten out one misconception. Most people falsely believe that the tiny modern nation of Israel in the Middle East represents all 12 tribes of Israel, but they could not be more mistaken. The Jewish people who make up the nation of Israel in the Middle East are only the remnant of the house of Judah that came back from the Babylonic captivity. This House of Judah represents at most, two tribes. (The tribe of Benjamin chose to stay with Judah.) Where are the other 10 tribes now? We must search the bible and history for the clues we need...and there are plenty of them!

In Police forensics, every possible small clue is gathered. They intensely examine the “scene of the crime,” and that is where we will begin in our search for the ten lost tribes of Israel. The book of Kings reveals that the twelve tribes of Israel had a civil dispute that split them into two separate assemblies with separate capitals and separate Kings. The House of Israel had it’s capital at Samaria in the north, and the House of Judah had it’s capital at Jerusalem in the south. They had a civil war no different than the one our own country experienced!

The whole division was caused by a spat over “taxation.” Solomon had taxed the people heavily, and when they sought some relief after his death, his young arrogant son Rehoboam recklessly said to the whole assembly of Israel, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions." At that point, the ten tribed conglomerate of “the House of Israel” went their separate way from the tribe of Judah. To them, it was “taxation without representation,” and they didn’t need a tea party to see it was time to go... Jeroboam the Ephraimite, was the leader of the 10 tribes. He now had a startling realization~... the temple was in enemy territory down at Jerusalem. Jeroboam couldn’t afford this natural pull that might cause his group to go back to Rehoboam...so he devised a scheme that would break all ties to Judah and to young king Rehoboam.

Jeroboam proclaimed Baal worship as the new official religion of the ten tribes. Pay attention to this fact, because forensically, this is a big clue that leads to their identity. Jeroboam knew that if the ten tribes went back down to Jerusalem to the temple as usual, this might cause them to become nostalgic and change their minds about what they had just done and go back to King Rehoboam. To steer clear of this possibility, he made the decision to break the Covenant that God originally made with Israel at Sinai and he set up a new kind of worship for Israel....Baal worship.

The “new” religion was sun worship. That is why the winter solstice that fell on December 25th was so important to them. (“Sol-stice means “sun stop) It represented the annual death and the re-birth of the sun god Baal.” This made December 25th a very important day for all sun worshippers! Even to this day, all Satan worshippers and pagans amazingly still devoutly observe these ancient sun worship rituals at the Yuletide. A quote from one of their websites says, “Yule (December 25th) marks the Death and Rebirth of the Sun-God.” Side by side with "Christians," they faithfully note this day. One group claiming to worship Satan by doing it and the other claiming to worship God. What is wrong with that picture?


Eventually these beloved pagan rituals which had been kept for thousands of years before Christ were “Christianized” over a long period of time. But, the early Church of God never kept December 25th as Christ's birthday. ...The truth is that December 25th was about "the birth of the sun god" long before the birth of the son.... Eventually all aspects of ancient sun worship were fully amalgamated into a church that had fully adopted sun worship and most of it's aspects around 400 years after the death of Christ.


But Baal worship is the key to the identity of the lost tribes of Israel. If you bring a tree into your home at the winter solstice of December 25th, you might be an Israellite!

Seeing as how the megaliths and passage graves date from the late Stone Age and the "monoliths" to Baal date to the late Bronze Age (several thousand years later), I would say that the author you are quoting is full of beans (I am being polite here) and has very little knowledge of ancient history and/or archaeology. He is showing pictures of true megaliths (not monoliths as he calls them) and then he tries to tie a late Celtic church stone into the Baal stones - give me a break! The 10 lost tribes (if they ever really existed) were assimilated into the other semitic people of the area of the Assyrian/Babylonian/Persian Empires. They didn't go traipzing off to Britain or Wales or Scotland or Ireland or China or Japan or America (to quote some of the more popular myths). Some of their descendents are shooting at American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, are haranguing crowds against the "Great Satan" America in Iran and Syria and a few may even be throwing stones and firebombs at their Israeli cousins in the Gaza strip. There is very little or no connection between the Megaliths of the late Stone Age and the small cultic monoliths of Bronze Age Palestine. -

How do they date the age of "megaliths" when the uncarved stone of itself, is as old as the earth. Carbon dating???

The actual date of being "carved on" would be very difficult to scientifically determine and would have to be somewhat guesswork and theory. Can you tell when a rock was chiselled on just by examining the raw material of the rock alone. No. We do know that during the days of ancient Israel, they worhipped Baal. The name Baal or Baalim is used around 80 times in the bible. We see the carved stones, traditional in Baal worship, and we see the remains of those sacrificed to Baal in the ground beneath the stones. Even in stonehenge, there have been found shards of human bones. We put two and two together and "carved megaliths and human sacrifice do go hand in hand, if we look at archaeology. After a human sacrifice, the remains were placed at the foot of the stone. This tradition remains to this day in every graveyard. Not to say, that Baal worship isn't very old. The Israelites picked it up in Egypt, and it had come from Babylon and even earlier or as long as man has observed the solstices, which is from the beginning.

Every culture has some history of the observance of solstices and of sunworship, Stonehenge was a solar calendar, they can measure the solstices with it. The sun temples of South America had 365 steps and were a solar calendar...etc...

You must know very little about archaeology, right? The stones would not be dated, you can’t date stones with radiocarbon dating. Radiocarbon dating only works with organic (i.e. formerly living) material. The megalithic sites were sacred areas (some still are to modern druids and pagans) and as such were the site of sacrifices and even some burials. This is what is dated. If the sacrifice or the burial was stone age, then it stands to reason that the site was also stone age. During the building phase of the megalithic sites, several layers were removed for various reasons (often in Britain to expose a chalky under-soil) and the absence of the upper layers of soil in the burials (even the remains of sacrifices were buried to keep the site clean) would indicate that the burial or sacrifice took place after the site was constructed. Carbon dating the human remains and the remains of sacrifices give a good date of the time the sites were in use! Also during the building phase, tools get lost and often buried. If the tools are not metal and only consist of bone, stone and antler or horn, then the chance of it being later than stone age is not very likely. Microscopic examination of the very stones will show what was used to form them. Stone leaves a much different signature than does bronze or iron. If an archaeologist gives you a date, you can pretty well count on it, they will usually be accurate within a century or two.

Archaologists can be wrong. For example, there was shock when sacrificial human remains at stonehenge assumed to be from 2000 BC, instead carbon dated to around 650 AD. (By the way, this is 72 years after the ten tribes went into captivity)

dating back to 2300BC... 4.10.4 died in AD650."

The historian Josephus says that the 10 tribes were taken into captivity north of the Euphrates. Get a map. That is the Black and Caspian Sea area. “The Saxons and Celts trace their origin to the area between the Black and Caspian Seas.” AND---Archaeologists by no coincidence, have actually found Israelite graves in this very area! Ask yourself this question... How could Israelitish gravestones be located in the same area associated with the origin of the Celts??? If archaologists can't be wrong, we can't argue with the following quote from Transactions of the Society of Biblical Archaeology, volume 2, in which it describes one of the Israelitish gravestones found in the Black Sea area where the Celts originally came from! It says,

“This is the tombstone of Buki, the son of Izchak the priest, may his rest be in Eden at the time of the salvation of Israel, In the year 702 of the years of our exile.”

Even though these wayward Israelites abandoned the Sabbath for Sunday, and sun worship, they did retain one thing, they still continued to observe some of their pagan holidays from sundown to sundown which came from the Israelitish teaching that says...“from even unto even shall you celebrate your Sabbath.”

Christmas "EVE" is based on this concept. Hallow-een is based on this concept. “Holy Saturday” service, observed by all Catholics is held the eve before Easter! These all demonstrate the concept of starting a Holiday on the eve before and are a carryover from their Israelitish heritage.

This is a major clue since historically the Celts were known to keep their days from sundown to sundown. (As every Israelite was commanded to do!) Even if they wanted to, these wayward Israelites could not fully abandon every link to their former true religion, could they? The article called Beltane: Celebration of May Day, says, “the Celts always figured their days from sundown to sundown.” Read from Man, Myth and Magic, Vol. 1, p. 67 “The Celtic day started at sunset, and ran to the following sunset,” even the Celtic term “holiday” is derived from the Israelitish term Holy-Day! Only the nation of Israel had been commanded by God to keep their days from sundown to sundown. How did the Celts come to adopt this??? It was no accident. It was tradition.

I thought that was what you were working up to. Sorry, but there is too much evidence that neither the Celts nor the Anglo Saxons were the fabled and non-existent 10 lost tribes of Israel. This very idea is a form of Christian racism and partly what Nazism was built upon – the so-called Aryan race, the super race, blessed of God! It is an idea that found its beginning in a book (A Revealed Knowledge of the Prophecies and Times) written by Richard Brothers in 1794. Brothers was, as one source puts it, "a Canadian madman". After being troubled by visions, he was admitted to a mental asylum, where he remained for eleven years. Brother's taught that the Anglo-Saxons were the 'Ten Lost Tribes of Israel'. He said that the British, Americans, and other Anglo-Saxons were heirs to the promises given to Israel in Scripture. Consequentially, an Aboriginal, an African, a tribesman from Papua New Guinea would not be so blessed. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, the theory of British-Israelism (that which you are trying to sell) rests on premises which are deemed by theologians and anthropologists to be utterly unsound and unfounded. Morris Silverman, Professor of History at Yeshiva University noted, “The British-Israel theory is complete nonsense, as anyone with the slightest knowledge of history, anthropology or philology can tell.” He pointed out that if the Anglo-Saxon or Celts were really lost Israelites, we would expect them to be the same race. In essence, they should LOOK like Israelites, have the same skin color – basically there should be a genetic connection. In his book “Races of Mankind: their Origin and Migration”, the renowned anthropologist, Dr. C. Kephart pointed out the fact that the Anglo-Saxon and Celtic peoples are ‘Aryans’, the Hebrews are from the ‘Turanian’ racial family. They are a completely different racial group! In a footnote, he wrote, “Since the original Hebrews were Kassites of typical Turkic build, tawny complexion, medial height and stocky build, with prominent nose, and brachycephalous (short wide skull), all efforts to identify the Aryan peoples of Europe as descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel are doomed to failure. A more futile task is inconceivable”. In other words, genetically, the early Anglo-Saxons and Celts were not the olive-skinned Israelites of the Lost Tribes. We should also consider language. If the Celts and Anglo-Saxons were really for Israel (even millennia back), we would expect them to speak a form of Hebrew or a language heavy with borrowed Hebrew words and phrases. At the very least, English should have some connection with Hebrew. The Jewish Encyclopedia notes that English is a branch of the Indo-European family of languages and has no connection with Hebrew (a branch of the Afro-Asian family of languages). It might also be noted that the written language of the Celts (only used on monuments, etc) was called Ogham and looked nothing like Hebrew and the Anglo-Saxon’s used the runic alphabet as did the Vikings. Also note that Ogham and Runes both had vowels and consonants, until Hebrew with contained no vowels at all. In the matter of religion, if the Celts and the Anglo-Saxons were the Israelites, they should have worshipped the God YHWH in some form. Some British-Israel authors have made very feeble attempts to show that the Druids were ancient Israelites that worshipped YHWH; however anyone who cares to research the religions of the Celts and Anglo-Saxons would see that they were polytheistic with a “head” god that was the pantheon’s war god (Teutatis for the Celts, Woden for the Anglo-Saxons). The early British were not Hebrews, but blue-painted Teutatis-worshipping barbarians! Looking at customs and folkways, we find more differences than similarities. According to Deuteronomy 21:10-13, the Israelites were reputable in battle, while the Celts were “blue-painted” barbarians, fearless but undisciplined, a head-hunter. In battle he would cut off the head of his fallen enemy and often hang it from his horse's neck. After battle he would display the severed head at the entrance to his temple. The severed head is a constant theme in Celtic art. After a battle the Celts would often dedicate their enemies weapons to the gods and throw them into a river or lake. The hundreds of weapons that have been dredged from the Lake of Neuchatel at La Tene were such offerings. In fact the site at La Tene has revealed so many Celtic artifacts that its name has been given to the whole Celtic culture. There was nothing similar in the Israelite beliefs or custom. The Anglo-Saxons were known as pirates and barbarians, unable to meet the brunt of the Viking raids. The Israelites would not eat pork, yet pork was the main meat of the Celts and Anglo-Saxons, this is something that would not have changed, if these folk were descendents of the Israelites! The Israelites buried their dead, but the Celts and Anglo-Saxons both cremated theirs, another custom that would not change.
If the British are not the lost Israelites, then who are they? The first Celts were not Israelites, but can be traced to a group known as the “Urn-Field People” or “Proto-Celts”. They were called the “Urn-Field” people because of their custom of cremating their dead and placing them in distinctive urn cemeteries. They were a Northern-European people who began to appear from about 1300 BCE (this is even before the Exodus, much less the Exile) and spoke a form of Celtic. Their Anglo-Saxon counterparts were descended from a central Asian plains culture, who later migrated along the same route as the Beaker people, because of food shortages. They were in Europe long before the Assyrians took the Israelites captive. As for what actually happened to the “10 Lost Tribes”, the majority of those Israelites probably were killed. YHWH carried out his promise to destroy many of the faithless Hebrews remaining in Assyria (Deu 28:15, 36. 48, 61; Amos 9:4, 9, 10) As the Time magazine stated, “there is no mystery about the fate of the Ten Tribes. Most of those exiled to Media died of harsh treatment; the Assyrians were the Nazis of their day.” However, it appears that a 'remnant' did survive their captivity, and returned to Israel (Isaiah 10:22). Ezra 1:1-4 tells us that Persian King Cyrus II, in about 530 B.C.E., released many of his Hebrew captives. The Revival Centers suggest that only Judah (the Southern tribes) returned to Palestine after being released. According to them, Israel migrated into Europe instead. However, it is clear from Scripture that Israelites did return to Palestine at this time. Ezra compiled a list of the events, and he talks specifically of "Israelite people" returning (Ezra 2:2, 59, 70, 3:1, 11). 1Chronicles 9:2 tells us quite plainly that, "the first to live again in their possessions in their towns were the Israelites ... [while] some of the people of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem" (also Ezra 6:16,17). After the captivity, it seems that the Judah and Israel were again united. Palestine once again became known as "all Israel" (Ezra 2:70; 8:35; 10:5; Nehemiah 12:47). For this reason, at Pentecost, Peter could address the Hebrews as "Men of Judea” and as "Fellow Israelites" (Acts 2:14, 29). The apostle Paul could be a "Jew" (Acts 21:29), an "Israelite" (2Corinthians 11:22), and a "Hebrew" (Philippians 3:5) at the same time. There was no longer a distinction, and it is clear that physical Israel can be found in Palestine to this day.



So to summarize what I have shown:
1. The Celts and Anglo-Saxons are not a Semitic race
2. The English language is an Indo-European language with no hints of a Hebrew heritage.
3. The Celts, Anglo-Saxon and Israelites have completely different customs and religions.
4. There are no ancient records to indicate Britain has an Israelite history.
5. The written languages of the Celts and the Anglo-Saxons are not similar to Hebrew.
6. British-Israelism was invented by a madman.
7. The remnants of the Lost Tribes did in fact (according to the OT) return to their homeland.



I need the original source of this, not the British-Israelite website you got it off of. With the original source I can probably find and pull the daily excavation records from the dig. The real point here is that they “assumed” the age and had it tested to see if it was that age. It wasn’t so their assumption was replaced with what the test said. This is not an example of archaeologists making a mistake, they did not publish that date and until I see the dig records, I have no idea of why they guessed or assumed a date of 2000 BCE. Another good question would be, “Were they professional or amateur archaeologists?”, Britain has both and as long as the law is obeyed an amateur can and does conduct archaeological digs. I can’t see a professional offering such a assumption without evidence to back it.



As I pointed out earlier, even though the ancestors of both the Celts and Anglo-Saxons (actually the Nordic peoples) possibly originated in that area, the were long gone when the Israelites were exiled there. The gravestones only prove that once there were Israelites buried in that area, nothing else. It especially does not prove that the Israelites were Celts or Anglo-Saxons, had ever met up with them (they were 600 years too late) or that they continued on into Europe.



Still means nothing, many ancient peoples from all over the world believed that the day started at sundown and ended at the next sundown. Such diverse peoples as Han of China, the Ainu of Japan, the Bactrians of what is now Afghanistan, the Khmer of Angkor, the Mayan, etc.



Ancient Celtic philosophy believed that existence arose from the interplay between darkness and light, night and day, cold and warmth, death and life, and that the passage of years was the alternation of dark periods (winter, beginning November 1) and light periods (summer, starting May 1). The Druidic view was that the earth was in darkness at its beginning, that night preceded day and winter preceded summer a view in striking accord with the Big Bang theory. Thus, Nov. 1 was New Year's Day for the Celts, their year being divided into four major cycles. The onset of each cycle was observed with suitable rituals that included feasting and sacrifice. It was called The Festival of Samhain - linked with Halloween. So it was not tradition inherited from Israel, but a belief of their ancestral proto-Celtic religion.

That's funny. I didn't get the information about these skeletal remains from Stonehenge from a British Israelite site as you suggest. I found the info on a site called "www.livinghistory.com" The article was posted there by history buffs, not racists. The information is also from a PBS special webpage called "Secrets of the dead." Not a racist site, as you try to suggest. Speaking of the remains, Pitts says. "The whole lot were believed to have been destroyed in a bombing raid in 1941, during the war. And it turned out they had all survived." Not only had they survived, but one of them -- the skeleton known as 4.10.4, a decapitated man whose tale is told in the SECRETS OF THE DEAD II episode "Murder at Stonehenge" -- would help rewrite the history of Stonehenge during the past 3000 or so years. "
This skeletal remains of 4.10.4 have only recently been found. "The partial skeletal remains had been languishing for years in the basement of the Natural History Museum in London when Pitts finally rediscovered them. The dead man's name (4.10.4) will never be known, nor his history, nor the crimes for which he was executed. Yet Pitts admits that the finding the skeleton, and uncovering some of the secrets of how he died, was a profound experience."

As you can see, this is certainly not from a racist site You really should be careful about slinging such broad accusations about, simply because, you do not know me personally.

Again, with the broad statements..."The Encyclopedia Britannica states that Celtic language was derived from the Hebrew language! (11th edition, vol. 5) Hebrew and early Celtic language were almost identical. So much so that the article called “CELT” in volume 11 of Encyclopedia Britannica says, "For many centuries the affinities of the Celtic languages were the subject of great dispute. The languages were in turn regarded as descended from Hebrew, Teutonic and Scythian."

Since the Celts are the peoples who inhabited all of Europe, England and by transplantation, America! This means that much of Europe and America are Israelites. Even the early form of the English language called “Welsh” was almost identical to Hebrew. Eliezer Williams (b.1754) an expert on the Celts made the following comments, "The roots of most of the ancient British, or real Welsh...may be regularly traced in the Hebrew...” “In 1675 Charles Edwards published A number of Welsh Hebraisms in which he shows that whole phrases in Welsh can be closely paralleled by whole phrases in Hebrew.” The words are spelled slightly differently, but the sounds of the words are almost iidentical. There is a dcitionary that has over 40,000 english words that have Hebrew roots called "The Word."

Concerning the bones that were found that were a lot earlier than thought, archaelogists had their minds made up about what age these bones were, and yes, they were wrong. They had the cart before the horse. If the bones are from around 650 BC, who is to say that the cutting of the stones couldn't be?

Hmmm, you take a set of human remains unearthed in the ‘20s or ‘30s (about 2 decades prior to the invention of the mass spectrometer (the heart of radiocarbon dating) and 3 decades before “carbon dating” was first used), remains that were lost for decades and suddenly “found”. With this you postulate that archaeologist make mistakes in their dating! Well, yes they do. Not often, but mistakes have been made. However since the inception of the so-called radio-carbon dating, mistakes are made very seldom. No matter what our creationist and fundamentalists friends say, radio-carbon dating is highly accurate and improving every year. The 600 year old murder was a flux, it would be interesting to see the RC dating on the other remains.

Somehow, that doesn’t jibe with what you say…What you need to do is get off those British-Israelite sites (no matter what you say, that is the only place that I have found the connection between Celtic and Hebrew mentioned. The ancestors of the Celts were in Europe (approximately 1200 BCE) nearly a half a millennium prior to the “Assyrian Diaspora” of the 10 tribes of Israel (722 BCE). So you are implying that an Indo-European language, whose linage can be traced rather closely (according to Gamkrelidze and Ivanov) for 6000 years, somehow evolved from a language that evolved from an entirely different language family, that has no similarities in syntax, construction, or pronunciation and that did not come on the scene until the very late 2nd millennium BCE. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t see how you can support that. You do not have either language group or individual languages in the same area at the same time, nor any archaeological evidence, or linguistic similarities to indicate such a melding. When you can give me information not from racist websites or the Encyclopedia Britannia that supports you contention, I will address it. Nearly word for word from the various British-Israelite websites, and you say you aren’t racist! Read your statement again…drips with white supremacy racism!

Ah but the original Israelites, being members of the sub-Arabian group, would have been typical Mediterraneans, that is – Dark brown to black hair, dark eyes (normally brown), short stocky physical build, and olive or darker complexion. It wasn’t until after the “post-temple” Diaspora that the Jews started mixing with the other sub groups of the world that they lost this physical type, at least to some extent.

Only if you combine the religious beliefs and practices of the pre-Celtic Europeans, the Celts and the Teutones. However, if you will check the Indo-European religion, you will find that the Celts, Teutones, Hittites, Hindus, etc religion is the same as the parent peoples – The Proto-Indo-Europeans, not the much later Israelites.

Once again, you are citing obsolete material with out giving a valid reference. I would find it strange that an Indo-European language would coincide with an Afro-Asiatic language to the point that entire pharase. Interesting, I just did a google of links between the Celts and Hebrews and found Charlie and nearly everything else you have been advocating. Strange isn’t it, that you could independently come up with the same material!

As I pointed out before, this set of remains was excavated prior to the inception of RC dating. You can not use RC dating to date inanimate objects. The evidence of age in this case would be the in situ material found at the levels of the stone setting.

Maybe, I wasn't clear, the bones were originally unearthed in the 20s and 30s...then lost and thought to be destroyed during WWII. They were later found in the basement of the London Museum. In 1976, carbon dating was done on them. The bones were then dated to around 650 years before Christ., so the murder is over 2000 years old, not 600 years old.

I have two nephews, same mom and dad, one has an olive complexion and dark brown eyes, and the other has blond hair and blue eyes. Both are beautiful children.... Based even on this, you can't make a blanket sterotypical statement that all Ten Tribes of the Israelites looked identical. (ie..were dark or olive skinned...) because features can vary right in the same family quite a bit. We had 3 daughters, a blond, a brunette and a redhead, funny to say, but in that exact order. Also, the sons of Jacob which the 12 tribes were based on had 4 different mothers, Rachel, Leah and 2 handmaids, so there will be quite a bit of diffence in appearance. There are some Israelites that have blond hair and blue eyes. (how do you know that I am not one???) So the racist thing falls on deaf ears with me. I am certainly not "ayran" I don't know anything about that ....
I keep all the Jewish food laws...I keep the Saturday Sabbath, I keep the Jewish Feast days, including Yom Kippur, Sukkuth, etc...so enough enough with the racist accusations, O.K.? But, all Israelites don't have olive skin..., I don't. No need to reply further if you don't want to, because, we can end this amicably and agree together that we disagree.

This is what the site you mentioned as the source of your posting had to say about the 1976 carbon dating:

Consequently we have the original estimation, based on the artifacts found during the dig (I did note that one of the skeletons, an archer, did date from the late second millennium) and a subsequent dating by radiocarbon that showed this particular set of remains dated to Anglo-Saxon times, nothing to call askance on Archaeology or archaeological procedures and datings.


First and foremost, neither your nephews, your daughters, nor yourself are Israelites. As an individual people, the Israelites (with the exception of those mention in Ezra and 1 Chronicles as returning to the “holy land” where they intermixed with the Jews) disappeared from the scene within a generation or two of the “Assyrian Diaspora”. Prior to this exiling of the Ten Tribes, the only people that the Israelites and Jews (Semitic types) had ever intermixed with were other Semites (Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Philistines, and Canaanites). Semites were (as they are today) the classic Arabic/Semitic subgroup of the Mediterranean type. That is dark haired, dark eyed (normally brown), olive complexion, short stout build and brachycephalitic (short wide skull). After the Diaspora instituted by the Romans after the end of the Jewish wars, the Jews began intermixing with the entire spectrum of the European/Eurasian/African world. This is where you and yours get their variants of eye, hair and complexions, but then you are not members of the Lost Ten Tribes. As for racist, by repeating the ideas of those racist sites, you made it impossible to ascertain that you weren’t. OK, holding the preponderance of the evidence, I am more that happy to end this debate.
