This reminds me of the famous photo that revealed a mysterious being in a "spacesuit", standing in the background. This was apparently not visible at the time the picture was taken. I remember very clearly when this incident first came to light. Over the years, the mystery surrounding it has deepened, to the point where today it ranks as one of the most famous unsolved cases.

I followed these posts for 20 some pages! after reading all that I really want to see the video now. What was going on in that Japanese show? with the people laughin? it wa like worlds funniest alien encounters. Then they showed that interview alien thing which looks so fake you can tell he is wearing a mask and has human arms. That one part is kinda weird with the face in the background but not convincing I hope that isn't the one people are talking about.
I don't know, so are you saying theres aliens that have the ability to be invisible, but sometimes they run out of what ever is keeping them invisible and so sometimes we see them. Why in the world is it look specifically in your house? thats too strange. Did it look friendly?
I don't know about that version of an alien peering through windows but I just saw a new doc out called Capturing the Light, that does show amongst a TON of ufo footage, aliens peering through the window of a craft! And that's not even close to the best footage in it. It's the best doc I've seen cause it really is a trippy story too. They don't show any of the footage at the site but you can watch a trailer at www.capturingthelightdvd.com

I know the exact thing you guys are talking about, and it is fake. I found it a while ago on Google video in it's entirety. It was supposed to be a family getting abducted by aliens while the camera is rolling the whole time. Very interesting to watch, but it was admitted as being fake. They showed it on TV like 9-10 years ago, and it scared the crap out of me. I'll try to find the link later.

But my opinion,at first glance, i say that this is not the video.
In the original one, i remember that it was christmas, i remember maybe a christmas three. The room was with a more difusse and dark lighting, yellow one. The supposedly alien head appeared in a much more clear way (and it was a bigger head, also).
Maybe The Likeness and others agreed with me.

It seems that a few of us following this thread think that the footage http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjIgb1tXwHY might be it. The section of interest begins at the 2:20 mark. It looks very similar to the footage we are talking about, except that it doesn't seem to be Christmas, and there are a few other things different with it.
SUMMARY: We still think that the footage has not been found yet! KEEP UP THE SEARCHING!

It will never be found. I don't think it exists. It either never was or what has been posted above is it.
Although I found that video, which may or may not have been the one, I also found a second one, which I did post, but no one seems to mention it. Was it overlooked? My post with my second find is #869 in this thread, which links to another thread on UM where someone found a vid with some really good ghost photos. On that one, there is a pic with people sitting at a table having some sort of celebration and something is indeed peering through the window. I just checked it out and that vid is still online and the pics show up at around the 1:48 mark. It's worth a look, anyways, since the pics seem closer to the original description than the first vid I found. Here's a direct link to the vid

Hey guys, I spent a few hours looking for the VHS tape of this and couldn't manage to find it. I still have a vivid image of this in my head and hope the video can soon be found. However, I did find quite a selection of episodes of the show on tape and will be transferring those to DVD/Youtube.

It could stand to reason that when the movie started making its rounds as a 'real encounter', perhaps that TV show aired a small bit of it just to show the alien face and oen wouldn't have known at the time there was an entire movie of it. After all, it was xmas time and it seems to fit. That is, if the timeline of the movie coincides with the TV show. But the OP said it is definitely not the Incident at whatever movie, and they are the ones who know best what they're looking for, so I'll take their word for it.

This happens a lot with people's memories. I remember (for example) Bigfoot footage from 'In Search Of' to be much scarier than it looks now. Of course, I was a kid back then. The McPherson family is having thanksgiving dinner and one of the kids is filming everything with his camera. The lights go out and as they check what's happening outside the house they see an alien aircraft with two aliens outside. They're spotted and run to the house where they are later attacked by the aliens. It's much like a Night of the Living Dead remake with aliens as the characters disappear one by one as the night progresses. This is a great movie and if I'm not mistaken it was done one year before Blair Witch - much like another great movie from this genre, The Last Broadcast.
I do have this movie either on tape - when it was aired I recorded it - and also on DIVX but I can't seem to remember where I found it.
