I SWEAR this is TOTALLY true & has just happened in last 15 mins !!!! my time here in NZ is 11:53 pm 27 July 2005 .... Its Wednesday Night & I was mucking around on the net & at the same time playing with my cell phone doing some pics of me for my online profile.
I done a pic of me holding my guitar and chose to add a voice memo with it !!!!!!!! ONLY instead of a voice memo I done 10 seconds of a part of a song I am working on !!!!!!!! I posted it to my hotmail account & then went to hotmail to see how it sounded ......... NO LIES & I SWEAR TO GOD !!!!!!!! there is a voice in there that was NOT HERE when I did this !!!!!!!!

NOW IM FREAKING OUT ........ UMMMM WHAT I MEAN WTF SHOULD I DO ????????

ANY IDEAS !!!! PLEASE GENUINE REPLIES ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for what you should do... what can you do? From reports, it can happen everywhere and everywhere, there's nothing you can physically do about it, and it can't ahrm you as far as I know.

I think it's the conversion process thats doing it.
Have you tried converting from mp3 to wav or wma or quicktime.
It does happen because you are compressing it.

First of all CALM DOWN! Second of all, consider yourself lucky you have this challenge. Now I don't follow all those abbreviations and technical jargon so this is in danger of going over my head and perhaps the heads of a lot of other people.
Just take note of everything that has happened. Freeze whatever evidence you have of whatever it was that happened...absolutely solid.....so that you can recall everything when you are in a quieter state of mind. Don't be freaked out. This is interesting. Go to bed and get some sleep, or, if you can't sleep, go for a walk until you're tired out ...THEN get some sleep and afterwards go through the whole load of evidence you managed to capture and then post as much as possible on this Forum. You should think yourself lucky! I've been waiting for yonks for my next experience! Tell us all as much as you can about it (preferably in plain English without too many abbreviations) and maybe some of us can come up with some helpful ideas. Congratulations! Hey, wow. Intersting story. If it was me I'd be pretty freaked. Of had many of mine own experiences, but that would really strike at home. You could have a stocker, who somehow managed to send you what he/she video taped. I;m not sure if you should go to the police or not (they might think you're crazy.) But, I'd keep an eye out if I were you. I don't mean to scare you any more, just be careful. It's impossible to say at this point what is responsible. It wasn't interesting, not scary and nots of all nots.
It wasn't a "JAH" that you are hearing.
When you strike a D chord or DM7 on your guitar it creates a sound that
FLANGED like a JAH. It happens because of the conversion process of
sound files. Your sound file was actually a ringtone file RTTTL file.
When you open it with Quicktime it becomes a wav file with PCM 8,000Hz, 16 Bit, Mono.

Why don't you do a bit of experiment with all kinds of sound file like
Midi file to wav file and see the difference.
Ahh...its a long process to explain, hope someone will explain it better than me.

After taking a day to re check it I still cannot figure how the sound got there at that particular place in the recording ???? Its definitely not part of my playing in fact you can hear the chords Im playing carry on as the sound appears, PPL know me on here know I dont go off the hook about things easily & normally I am fairly skeptical & prefer to explain stuff away logically ... this is the most profound thing Ive encountered !!!!

Sorry dude, it sounds like your guitar is making the noise not a spirit.

I could understand if my Ibanez made that noise BUT I dont understand how my banged up old acoustic could do it ????????

Anyway ... Natural Phenomena OR Paranormal Phenomena whateva, all I know is it is a phenomenon to me as I swear it was definitely not there while I recorded it and I was VERY shocked to hear it during playback. Mostly the timing of where it comes in and that you can still hear the guitar playing behind it ?!!!!
