Hi All,

I'm a newbie here and am well fascinated by everyone's experiences and accounts.

For those that know tomorrow is the most important day in the Borley calendar in that legend has it that the Borley Nun appears on the 28th July.

I've been fascinated by the Borley story for years and was wondering if anyone here is actually making the trip out.

I can't myself sad.gif as I have to travel up North but would welcome any views comments etc either here or by PM.

Peace and best to all,

BD

I have heard or the Borely nun and would love to go myself to check out the claims, but sadly, I am on the wrong continent. no.gif

It's ok Eva, it's not anymore special than any other place in the US continent. Borley Rectory has it's claims just like everywhere else. Though I'm not saying that it isn't haunted, but neither is it the most haunted. If anyone goes, please fill us in.

I just like to see things for myself, I don't think I ever truely take anyone's word for it when it comes to a haunting, no matter how much I want to believe it.

Me too Eva, obviously the Rectory no longer stands and anyone planning to visit must be aware of this - it's just somewhere I've always wanted to go to since I was a kid - just to say 'I've been there!!'

Best,

I visited Borley a few years ago (its pretty small, blink and you'll miss it). Its a nice little village, but to be honest, pretty anti-climatic. As already mentioned, the Rectory no longer stands (and has'nt for many years). There are a couple of houses built on the site, and the villagers are pretty twitchy, as they are aware of the reputation of the place, hence the proliferation of 'no trespassing' signs everywhere. There has actually been very few accounts recently of ghostly phenomena, and has all but diminished from the former rectory site. Any occurance that take place now usually happen in the church across the street (which is always locked unless a service is being held).

Has anyone stayed there at night - on their own?

Nada, and the authorities would prolly get called unless it was an organised vigil....
