what do you think of this theory? what if the pyramids are alien bases? i've seen so many posts on here saying aliens helped the egyptions build the pyramids - what if the aliens gave the ancient egyptians technology for the rights to build on their land, and in the future they will come back to earth (ufo sightings) and enter their bases and take over the planet? think about it they have explored some pyramids and where they thought there would be mummified bodies they found nothing (don't believe tomb raiders stories) maybe the aliens are that advances they have 'clocked' thier equipment/ships etc don't they pyramids have a major connection with space and the stars? how could a civilization as old as the egyptians build monuments which line up almost identically with the stars (don't tell me its "luck") One day they WILL return to a planet which they once roamed!

I mean no offence but where do you guys come up with these ideas, the pyramids are monuments, and tombs of rich, royal dead guys right!
And about the stars they probably did that because they associated them with nature animals or whatever, almost every culture has references to the positions of stars, their smart enough to notice the cycle of stars.

I think there's something in it though, I mean the accuracy they were built with, how! Perfectly aligned north-south, still no real explanation how they built it, the ramp idea just wouldn't work!

But dogs couldn't be responsible, they don't have fingers to operate the tools. What about telepathic monkeys making the egyptians build them to their requirements

I agree that this topic has been discussed to death...
There is an old thread where someone in a University ( I forget his name ) tested a theory on how the Pyramids were built. There was a man made machine, like a lever of some sort built by this student and proved it could be possible to move these huge stones by one person.
It wouldn't of taken long to build the Pyramids if you had over a few thousand egyptians all working toegther. Indeed they were one of the smartest civilizations ever put on this earth, the one myth everyone is so curious about more than the building the Pyramids is how did the Egyptians disappear? Where did their civilization go in a short period of time? If they were so smart how come their generation didn't last a long time?
If the Egyptians were so advanced in technology how come our generation is taking so long to be where we need to be in technology?
What I find funny is that scientists and archeologists are finding new discoveries of different artifacts from the Egyptians each day.
Also... who taught these Egyptians to be so smart? Somebody, or some kind of being ( Alien or Human ) must of taught them. No one has solved that mystery yet.
Compare that to the Humans of today, if our people are so smart with this awesome technology we are discovering today why aren't we solving a lot of these mysteries by now?
Just some of my thoughts...
Matt

I saw an old guy once on the C2C website (i know, just hear me out)...and he was building these fantastic structures much like stonehenge in his backyard with his contraption...he said it was all muscle power and mathematics. Some of the pieces he moved were multiple tons.
I am sure the ancient peoples of the earth who built these monuments (who clearly had an understanding of forces and their manipulations we do not possess) could do something along those lines to build the pyramids.
Now enough about this d**n topic.

What it is, Is a need to under life and how something so complex, could be built by people with a limited knowledge of technology! When you look at the pyramids, it's hard to believe they have with stood the test's of time! Thus giving some people reason to believe, they had to have help in building them.!

Hi guys, I nearly slipped on the way into this thread due to a huge pool of sarcasm building up at the entrance.
The egyptians had a grand knowledge of advanced mathematics, astronomy and geometry. Researchers have found the dimensions of the pyramid to be proportionate to the earth (within some math context), and the orientation to the poles. I vaguely remember a longe tunnel up the pyramid that resembles a telescope chute aimed at Sirius.
The pyramids seem to act as celestial calendars, and due to their size, a beacon for outer-space - what purpose would the size and plainness of such unusual structures be other than to be seen from a distance and to have each face orientated to a different compass point?
It is just safe to say that there is much more to this than a creative civilization, since they surpassed the others at the time, and since it is taking modern man in his 'evolved' intellect a long time to uncover everything despite a wealth of collected records, artifacts. Suffice to say this is interesting, and not dismissable, and non of us are arrogant enough to declare it fact, nor should we be stupid enough as investigators to shun it because it has become a "cliche" or "done to death".
A cliche means the impact and notice of a concept lessens, but not the meaning. The answers lie unearthed if you are bored of the topic or not!

What exactly does egyptian history tell us about "who's your daddy and what does he do?" hmm? And what in human's history says that when exploring, we arent attracted to large structures or land features? When astonomers look to space and to mars they note the land features. Check out pictures of mars and the moon, they have some pretty amazing stuff in, some that scream egyptian astoundingly too. Then you can see that eye's notice dominant features on a landscape.

As i said, if you knew about the history of egypt you would understand, why they felt the need to build so large. And i have seen many of the photo's of mars they mean nothing in regard to egypt!

It is speculation , like the rest Isis, which I thought you would keep in mind.
Plus it looks as if your all struggling with a more detailed theory about it. If you think you know for a fact why they had to build so large, then enlighten us instead of giggling about it - thats how discussions are conducted, I just offered my opinion.

From a philosophical p.o.v. -- yes. The pyramids in Egypt are an endearence of what man can do over time and with determination, fortitude and intelligence. Does everything mysterious in nature have to relate to UFO's or an ancient civilization with advanced tech?
Supposedly the pyramids are aligned with certain stars in the night sky. In ancient times the sky and small tunnels built into the pyramids acted like telescopes.
But, are the Aztec lines graffee aliens drew of their visits? Woah! Back the truck up. Is Stonehedge a gateway for time travellers at certain times of the year? *shakes head* Is the Bermuda Triangle an area where a mysterious ancient city and/or island sank and is generating a magnetic field? *smiles thin*
Sorry, what was my point again? Oh yeah, the pyramids a beacon for alien life? No. There is absolutely no evidence for that theory.
Rev.Heretic
Aug 2 2005, 01:12 AM
lol none of those things you listed have any substantial evidence, proof or confirmation. Nor does mine. You talk like the collator of evidence and support why my opinion on a mystery is rubbish, by spurting more mysteries in a dose of dripping condescent.
The only thing thats questionable in my post is "a beacon for outer space" , you made the implications and drew your own conclusions on that. I didnt just shout "UFOs!". Tackled very poorly. Man has tried to express communication, be it to their dieties or whatever, to the heavens for millenia. What have I said that is so far out, rather than what you interpreted?
Ancient World Wonders
Aug 2 2005, 01:16 AM
Interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. One man's trash is another man's treasure. One man's theory is another man's disbelief. I will repeat myself: "The pyramids in Egypt are an endearence of what man can do over time and with determination, fortitude and intelligence."
Rev.Heretic
Aug 2 2005, 01:20 AM
And the topic being, could they be alien bases? I thought I'd see if I can enter that field. Not "do you think they are normal"
We all already know about the normal 'answer' to this mystery, this topic is about alternatives.
Did your eye not behold the title?
edit: Btw, what you said is what your held view is, not "what was so far out with my postt" as I asked.

Aug 2 2005, 01:27 AM

Least I backup my stuff, which I do harmlessly, rather than your "crackpot" comment which means nothing to me. Ommitting the "beacon to space" one, the rest of it is agreed upon and plausible and nothing supernatural there, I don't understand your extreme arrogance on this.

Just by thinking. What is ludicrous? They knew their geometry and maths? They constructed it in proportion to the earth? They used astronomy in there constructions and functions of construction? Apart from the space beacon thing, which we have already reasoned about, I dont know what you find so far fetched.

Egyptians then were much wiser than now, and knew that as a civilization ages, the people become much less able to earn a living for themselves. So . . . they constructed the pyramids so that their far future progeny could better make a living . . . from the tourist trade. Far sighted indeed they were then.
