Maybe a lot of people are paying for ringtones.
Do you know that you can use MIDI files as ringtones.
If your mobile/cell phone comes with a software then you can
transfer midi files to your phones.
There's lots of it and free.

I've known that for ages. Never bothered to tell anyone, since I find it amusig people pay $5 or more for a 30 kb sound clip...
