Okay. So we're in the future. That's a given.
But, where are my flying cars, cyborgs and laser guns? Where is my garden on mars and very own clone?

Name and link too some of the most advanced technological marvels of our time, the more futuristic, the better.

I'll start us off with the RoboMaid:

Speaking of invisibility there was a guy selling a supposed invisibility machine on ebay a while back with a whole bunch of government documents.
I'll try and find the link.
BurnSide
Real links here Neo please. Not fake ebay crap.
Mr Ed
Invisibility cloak...too bad you look like a moron at the same time.
BurnSide
laugh.gif i don't think that would matter.
Mr Ed
Well it does when you are only semi-transparent!
Rhomphaia
It looks like the goal of that coat is to get a bunch of soldiers all wearing them and make the enemy think it is just foggy out.
Mr Ed
Foggy and geeky.
Rhomphaia
Geeky until the fog starts shooting.
Gabriel
yea like in the jetson's, wheres the bathroom that brushes my teeth, and the convayer belts for sidewalks?

How come MY car doesnt fold up neatly into a brefcase?!?!
AztecInca
Well, EVENTUALLY the future will indeed be an amazing place!
Erikl
The so called "invisibility cloak" isn't really invisible.... the pictures taken make it look invisible tongue.gif.

If you happen to walk down the street you'll merely see an odd looking japanese stretching his arms, with video cameras before and behind him.
Virulence
The cloak looks like it has a projector shining on it, a still.

I hate to tell you, but the present is an amazing place when compared with the United States in 1935, the year I was born. The rate of change of technology is still increasing. The vast majority of what can be bought in stores today didn't even exist when I was born. wink2.gif
PadawanOsswe
that invisibility cloak is crapola at invisibility laugh.gif

these technologies are quickly coming to life, it is amazing how quickly mankind's technology and knowledge of the universe is evolving. it seems like every day there is a technological breakthrough.

BurnSide
There is.
Just yesterday a website opened up where you can purchase powdered vodka and other alcoholic drinks, and just add water when it arrives for instant booze.

Moller have been designing their flying car for years now, I posted it up about 3 years ago after I saw the demo on 'it'll never work' tongue.gif

Looking at the specs, these things will be whizzing around 350 MPH...!!

Sorry for reviving this thread but I wanted to add links in the "flying car" category. My apologies if it has already been discussed in an other location.

London might soon be getting flying taxies. Hopefully the pilots will have better driving skills than their ground based counterparts grin2.gif

CNN's page
BBC News
There are lots of links on this subject on the web.

Haha very good... I missed this article so thanks for posting.

It's really cool because it could be only less than 5 years away too!
