The Northern Territory News understands a group of people who live at Ali Curung, an Aboriginal community not far from well-known UFO haunt Wycliffe Well, had seen the strange phenomenon from their front porch at about 4am on Saturday. Several of the group watched as a huge orange ball hovered for an estimated 20 minutes before being chased by what appeared to be four fighter aircraft. Wycliffe Well owner Lou Farkas said some mentioned their UFO experience the next day when they came in for coffee. "They had all just come in on a bus from Alice Springs and none of them had been drinking," he said.

"Apparently the light hovered for a while and then three other objects that looked like fighter planes trailed it and were joined by another plane. "Then the orange light just disappeared into nowhere - they thought it was quite unusual, especially with the other lights that appeared to be aircraft joining in." A US military spokeswoman said it was quite possible the stargazers had witnessed a military exercise.

Who knows? It could have been a military exercise or it could have been a trick of the light or something. But I'm not betting on it that it was a UFO.

"a military exercise"

ummm... doubtful, what use does this serve? fly towards the illumminated balloon and shoot it down? obviously they cant hit sh**, (I doubt the use of live rounds).

again, the military fails to explain anything but the obvious, Mabye it was a military exercise...

Whats gong on with all these UFO sightings down here, I had barely ever heard of any happening down until this year, now they seem to happen all the time, I must go investigate!

alien.gif I was thinking the Object " Balloon?" may have been high enough to reflect sun light at 4:AM, but then remembered it's their Winter down there and the Sun would not rise till 6: or 7: AM. So unless it had lights inside to light it up that's not it. And as Stix pointed out with today's tech. this would have been senseless.

So we go to Swamp Gas or The Planet Venus. LOL's grin2.gif
