A 68-year-old American who admitted kidnapping and imprisoning women in a concrete dungeon under his home could soon be behind bars.Retired handyman John Jamelske could be sentenced to life when he reappears in court after confessing to keeping women as sex slaves in chains.

He held a 16-year-old girl hostage for nearly seven months in a two-room purpose built concrete bunker, three feet under the backyard of his suburban Syracuse home in New York State.

The bunker was linked to his home by a steel door, hidden behind tens of thousands of empty bottles and cans, that led to a series of crawl spaces and doors.

A 4-foot ladder led down to the first chamber, which was furnished with refrigerator, a small tub, a portable hospital toilet chair and a bucket.

I don't understand about the other women not saying anything until
now. But I'm so glad the young girl was able to be rescued. I just
hope that monster is kept imprisoned for the rest of his life!

The freakiest thing is, that man lived literally ten minutes from my house, two minutes from where I work.....I could have seen and/or talked to this man and never knew it. I am refusing to know what he looks like, because the odds are too good that I have..

Me too, very much so, seeing as I read thoroughly what some of these women went through....thinking about it gives me the chills...
