I have some problems. First, when I go to the video gallery, this stuff happens: I have recentley installed Macromedia Flash Player 7, a software I needed, and some videos such as alien interview will still show the Macromedia logo and wont play. And most videos just don't work. I was searching UFO footage on another site, and it would have a video window, and then the whole thing freezes. And also on this site, audio or video, when I click on something to play, it just shows a box with another box inside with a dot in the middle. Can someone please help me on these problems. The only thing that seems to work is that real player.

Different types of video only work in certain players. Quicktime has pretty good video support, so does Windows Media player (as long as you have the right CODECs.)

Sometimes you must ask the poster of the video what codec they use, and where they got it. If you download and install, it'll usually work.

Exactly...on the codecs.... I find windows media player kind of buggy...but it depends...WMP will not play quicktime format (.MOV video format) also some people use that divx format too....so check the format and you might need some codecs or a different player.
wrighty
that is it they all play on different players.

What do I do to install/download these players. The macromedia thing was for videos and sitesto work on, in video section of this site, the macromedia logo shows up and nothing plays! Those are most of the problems that I need answered. The only videos that work are the real player.
