When I don't have uni I'm a total insomniac - 3 days in a row without sleep. It's fun. You start to see stuff without sleep

But when I've got uni I'm pretty good with sleep, if you can count 2am sleep and 7am wake up as pretty good.
All the best,

I'm lucky not to suffer from Insomnia, but my boyfriend was telling me about a man who has
three jobs, and works 24 hours a day as he never sleeps!
Apparently he is a millionaire now!
I find this all hard to believe...................

i find that hard to believe as well, as it would be impossible to work 24/7. your body can only go for so long without sleep, before you kick the bucket.

yes theres no way that possible. when does he have time for himself? thats not right. your boyfriend has bad sources (coming from a guy, im gonna say these sources are his friends). my friends are the same way.

I don't suffer from insomnia. I've nearly had a day without sleeping, which was my 16th birthday party. But I slept because I had work the next day...

What's the point in being a millionaire if you can't relax and enjoy it?
I agree with everyone else - this story is a crock

I am an insomniac.
I sleep between 2-4 hours a night.
Give me 6-12 months and I will have conquered sleep entirely

I don't sleep but 3-6 hours, 6 if I'm really lucky. It not a huge problem but I've been on first shift for a couple of weeks now and its starting to take its toll. I can't wait to go back to seconds.

I'm a part-time insomniac.
Most nights I get about 4 hours sleep.
Then I'll have periods where I won't get any for weeks at a time- I'll wake up every 5 minutes or so.
I usually do my best artwork, poetry, etc during these periods, though I haven't been able to do much during my most recent bout.
... And before anyone asks... No- it's not the insane amount of coffee I drink.

I can only drink about 2 cups of coffee a day now as if I have too much, I start falling asleep.

It's not so much insomnia as completely random sleep patterns... I'll like go to sleep at around 10 p.m., wake up at about 2 a.m. and stay up till maybe 5; of course, most of that time I'll spend with the good folks on UM... no i'm not addicted....

... then go back to bed and get up at maybe 10 if it's not a school day...

I had a friend who was an agnostic, insomiac and dyslexic. He would stay up all night wondering if there really was a dog.

I agree insamnia sucks. I love sleeping and i hate it when i cant. I think the last two days i have had about 4 hours and i'm zombie girl. Of course i am a weirdo and think being in a coma would be kinda cool.

I can't sleep anyways because of the constant pain in my ears. I'm starting to enjoy the things I see though.

I enjoy the feeling of being the only one awake, that there's no one else around... and that can only be a good thing in my book.

I don't think it's so much power; more a self-centering feeling.

I don't think this is insomnia but I usually go to bed around 5-6am and wake up at 12-1. And about to be 7 starting today. It's more of a flipped sleep schedule rather than insomnia in my opinion. As to feeling power, since I'm used to sleeping late I don't feel like this but I do feel relaxed and that this is the time where no one can bother me.

I do not enjoy my insomnia. I've had it for about four years now and it gets worse then better, worse then better, etc. I don't understand how being up all night doing nothing could be fun? Also there are easier means of hallucinating then that of sleep deprevation.

I don't usually get insomnia but when I do, it sucks
I don't know how many of you are like me, but when I have insomnia, I sit there and think....and I don't think about bunnies, puppies and flowers. I think about things that are more on the depressing side of life. So on top of being a zombie the next day, I'm in an crappy mood as well...
so thankfully, I don't have insomnia too often
I have a half time insomnia problem, and the other half is a "bad" sleep problem.
Both suck.

I'd rather sleep. I'm less tired that way.
