I am not sure where I am going yet (still doing research), but I would like to take a group out to investigate. I live in south east michigan, does anybody want to go?

I know, but that was to make it convenient for anyone who might be interested. That way... they can skim thru it and then you guys can plan it.

Hey...dang.. I see a lot of guests... why don't you guys join?....

Eva Evermore

ajagsfairy

Eva Evermore

If you really want to do some true investigations of well documented locations and events, why not organize a trip to Mexico?

i never said i wanted the sites to be well documented, infact I want the opposite. If I wanted some place that was already well combed over, I could pick a million places. I would rather investigate a new place, try to discover some history that we don't already know about.

Dang, the last time I drove my car into Mexico, I cracked a rim... how are chinese people suppose to know that "alto" means "stop"..

back on topic, have you heard of the "Hacienda"? that mining town?.....blahhh...Igot the chills.

So iaapac, what well documented places in mexico that you personally know that is better than anywhere else and worth spending money to go out there?
NME_locus
Edited-Sorry for wasting space, I posted something on the wrong thread because I had two UM broswers open innocent.gif

My, aren't we multitasky today, NME. tongue.gif

Eva, I've been thinking about your request. I think you're looking for specific locations, but here's my input. It seems, for some odd reason, that churches (especially old ones) are often reputed to be haunted. Perhaps you could try an old local or semi-local church?

Eva Evermore
Okay, I have come up with 3 places to go. I am going to the cemetery in Cohochtah, I am going to a cemetery that is full of my friends ancestors dating back to the 1700's and I am going to a cabin in Lovells that has a lot of activity, that will be on the 27th of august.

ajagsfairy- that second cemetery I mentioned is about 1-1 1/2 hours west of me, so is closer to you.
Accident
id go but i live in cali...and some other things like no muney and im to young grin2.gif

Yeah, that brings up another point. Just for liability reasons, I would like it if anybody that goes is atleast 18.

One thing you have to beware of in this type of endeavor . . . a lot of tales are cut out of whole cloth. I once got interested in looking for hidden treasure. There are magazines and books which claim to be "true treasure tales". In a pigs eye. I researched some of them carefully, and found that mostly it was all made up by the author. By this time, it is probably true of many "ghost" stories. People make good money writing about this, and many authors have quite active imaginations. It pays to do intensive research before you go looking . . . in treasure hunting, I would spend about 8 hours in research for every 1 hour in the field. At that, I never found anything significant, but did on two occasions find a hole someone else had dug where I had determined the buried treasure would likely be. Oh well, it sure was fun looking. original.gif

Hey, can you tape record your visit, and if you find anything post it on this site?

Alright.....woooo...Indiana. Go Colt's...I'm from Evansville Indiana. Sorry my fellow friends, just stopping in to say "hi"...I know I'm out of line. I've joined another forum. Everything is more mellow there. That's why I have not been to UM lately but will still say hello frequently.
Eva Evermore
Thats too bad, we miss you around here

Oh I'd love to help! But i doubt I could help.......... But I do live in Mexico! And, and I know of many good hotels where I live, and I know of a few haunted houses... And if you stop buy one night (hopefully when my parents are gone to avoid awkward questions) you can tell me if my fear of these shadow ghosts is just me being paranoid, or whether there really IS something I should fear!...
Eva Evermore
You should get together with iaapac
