Hey guys and gals,

I just pre ordered an Xbox 360 with ES4 Oblivion and PDZ. I'm just wondering if anyone else plans on buying the new systems the day they come out?... and if anyone is specifically getting the 360 with Live?
Richdog
Xbox 360 looks very cool, but i'll stick with my PC I think. original.gif

PC's are much better for the single gamer anyways. The only reason..and I mean only reason I get consoles is so my Fiancee can play too(and I guess the fact it costs so much to keep updated on a gaming PC)...BF2 kinda makes me want to switch though....

I'll probably get a Revolution. (if that is still what it is called)
Paranoid Android
As said, I'll be getting the Xbox360. I haven't really bothered checking when it's coming out tho. I can't afford to pre-order it and such, so I really can't say when.

Hell, I got my Xbox for free (special promo thingy), maybe I can do the same for the new console grin2.gif

Yeah, I know what you mean, I put 50$ down and I'll pay a little every couple weeks... won't be such a blow to the ol' wallet...

Im a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, so I would wanna miss the next one, PS3 it is for me rofl.gif

I'll get a PS3, but I'm not pre-ordering it. It'll wait until there is a selection of games first. However... if Square want to make a remake of FF7 and release it on PS3, I'll buy a PS3 whenever they choose to do so.
wrighty
I agree with talon if I gat the ps3 or the xbox 360 I will wait to see the games before I buy it.

You get free online service with Revolution. And it has built- in WiFi, so you won't have to mess up ethernet cables original.gif

Microsoft has announced the American retail price of the Xbox 360 console. The system will be released at $399, and also in a $299 "Core System" version.

The Xbox 360 unit will retail at $399 and include a 20GB detachable hard drive, wireless controller, wireless Xbox Live headset, high-definition AV cables, an ethernet cable, and an Xbox 360 Media Remote Control (limited time availability).

The $299 "Core System" will not include the hard drive, headset, ethernet cable, or media remote, and will include a corded controller and standard AV cables.

According to Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities, the $299 "Core System" is just a Microsoft "publicity stunt," and, "Only a complete idiot would buy the $299 model."

We don't have adult swim. Our Cartoon network shows things like Buggy Bunny, Power Rangers, Mutant Tutles etc 24/7 no anime whatsoever. The only anime it did was Full Metal Alchemist during Spring, but only 10 eps then ditched it saying it was too mature for its viewers.

Anime is only shown on Toonami, and nothing but the titles I listed.
Last year they used to do Cowboy Bebop, Big O and Outlaw Star after 1 AM at night, but then they ditched them saying nobody would watch them (what did they expect when they put Bog O on at 5 AM in the morning?! ). Years back they even did Tenchi, Escaflowne, Gundam and Eva... but that was like 5 years ago.

They replaced all the adult anime with Batman of the Future, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Samurai Jack. sad.gif

Basically if it isn't American or for Children, the UK wont show it on TV. Thats why I have 700 DVDs and 80 GBs worth of anime DLs, because I can't get it anywhere else tongue.gif

Live is free on the weekends, but if you pay for premium service you can go on whenever.... I'll probably end up getting the 360 then the PS3 when it comes out.... I hope they don't bear Sumo uniforms and get in a tangle huh.gif
Walken
I'll be buying a full 360 system off of the January shelves - There is no way on earth I'm paying £60 more than my American counterpart for it when it launchs.

Here in the states Toonami was a block of shows on Cartoon Network usually on from about 3pm-7pm, although it changed and got shorter over the years. At one point during this block of show they had Tenchi, Outlaw Star, Kenshin, and DBZ in a row. Things like Batman Beyond and Tranformers were some of the last shows when they got rid of the weekday Toonami. They even aired like 3 episodes of Eva at 4pm once! Now it is only on Saturday night and mainly shows things like Rave Master and DBGT. Adult Swim is on Cartoon Network late every night (11:00-1:00 I think).

So if you just have the silver that comes with the system, then you have to pay for weekdays? Best of both worlds? Ahm? mad.gif *taps foot*

Another reason to not buy the $299 Xbox 360, it doesn't come with a harddrive and you need it to play your old Xbox games.

Still sounds better than what we got tongue.gif The guys on our media channels who'd like to oush anime are just to few, and when they do get the ball to run with their given the worse time slot so it wont have ratings if it flops......only thing they ignore is if its the worse time slot its not like it can prove itself. Its as if they want it to fail to prove their own point without giving any anime a decent run at something like 5 PM.
Conspiracy
ill stick with the xbox for a bit longer tongue.gif
