That is terrible.
Tia
It makes you wonder what is happening in the mothers life to make her do such a thing.
ajagsfairy
As a woman i cant even comprehend how any mother could abandon their child. People like that should be sterile and never procreate.

Did you forget about "Daddy"? He could have been the one to do this........Any way it is no way to start life out.

There are a million possibilities that could had made the mother do this. Maybe she was young and the baby's father made her-no excuse still. Maybe she was hit with post partum after the baby was born and found this to be an easy way out. Whatever the answer is, I think she should seek help. I couldn't imagine doing that. I love my child and could never imagine leaving her anywhere. Like Morpheas said, least she could had done was leave the baby at a hospital or at least go into the hospital with the baby and made sure her and the baby could get help. There are people out there that would help her. I don't care what the situation is, no excuse for abonding your kid on the street like a ruined peice of meat.

mad.gif You have to wonder what the hell the poor babies mother was thinking! I mean you just don't leave a baby out in the wilderness or anyplace that matter! It's cruel! Well I do hope that that mother comes in and gets the help that she needs. But that baby needs a happy home where he can grow up happy and healthy and loved. And I like the name that they gave the baby.

I hope the wonan gets the help she needs, and gets charged with that she done. It dosent matter how depressed or upset you are. Unless you think that child is going to be killed if it stayed with you anylonger.. GAH.. she should have at least taken it somewhere safe!

Why couldn't she have just dropped it off at a hospital or church or something. Somewhere that people could have immediately helped the little thing. Just leaving it for dead in the woods, how horrible. That baby did NOTHING to diserve that. It didn't ask to be brought into the world. Makes me want to just scream and cry. angry.gif crying.gif

Not sure of the laws where this story occured but here in the states all a mother must do within the first days of a newborns life is take it to a hospital, police station,or fire station and hand the baby over. No questions asked and the baby is safe. This is totaly inexcussable and she should be dealt with in a very harsh manor. This is attempted murder not a case of child abandonment. She left the baby in the woods to die that is my book is attempted murder. Bring her to the United States and hand her over to my wife. She will then find out the meaning of pain.

Oh, for the love of Pete; why do people do these horrible acts?

I saw a bumper sticker today that said, "If you can't trust me with a choice, how can you trust me with a baby?"

This don't just happen out of the US but in the US too. WHy would you make the assumption that it only would happen out of US. I live in US and not turning my back on my country, but mothers do this stuff all the time here. Most stories you read on the news and forums of mothers abandoning they're kids probably most come from US. We have so much more freedom than probably any other country in the world, yet mothers do this stuff all the time here in the US.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the mother when found should be stripped naked and left in the artic. For she'll think twice of doing this to her next kid and leaving the boy without clothes or blankets. I have one kid and live in Maine where it stays cold most the year so I know when a baby is born that they must stay wrapped in blankets and clothes with booties and a hat because of being so tiny, so I can see why the baby was with hypothermia.

We do get a lot of stories like these in the states. Far too many. It's so infuriating and senseless, and when you consider how long some infertile couples have to wait to adopt a newborn it just doesn't make sense. I can't understand this. I can't imagine any situation wherein I would leave my newborn to die.

In my town they've actually begun a billboard campaign to get the word out that mothers can legally leave their newborns at a hospital or police station because it's just so common.

*hugs her babies tightly*

No!!! most other countries around the world have just as much freedom as yours does. What is possible in the U.S is also possible in many other countries around the world.

Back on subject...

I believe that this women should be psychologically evaluated, and if found to be mentally ill should be helped, and if found to be sane she should be banned from ever being able to have the blessing of a child again.

All the best

Excuse me but I did not make any such assumption. I am well aware that this sort of thing also happens here in the United States all to often. All I was basically asking, in my own confusing way, is what are the laws where this occurred, and stating that in the states what resources this mother would have had available to her.

this is nothing compare to what happens in asia.... mad.gif

This things happens everyday in my country and most of the babies dies or on the other hand they sell them to the black market cut them off and sell their kindness or other parts to other countries and thats business for them... no.gif crying.gif I believe this happens because of the population and poverty..4 billion people lives in ASIA and half of them well more than half of them are born in poor society...myself included in the category...

There is nothing the world can do about this...nothing
