Hello all!!!
I'm in kinda a pickle...lol....I have used a few divinatory tools such as Tarot cards, Quija board, and a Pendulum...I stoped believening fortune telling and divination for a while due to incorrect answers from most of these.
I just started back up again and decided to try and use a pendulum, all of the sudden these yes, no, and sometimes nuetral answers are more accurate than ever. I even ask questions about what other people feel and what their fortunes are...And so far i've probably been mislead twice...Pretty good for a tool that is just supposed to answer basic unconcious questions You already know, but to answer questions about other people without them being there or even knowing your asking questions about them (scary it is coming out correct)...If anyone can tell me if this is possible, or just a coincidence i would like to know...Thanks

i'll answer for now with a question.

If it supposedly works by unconsciously reading the mind of the person asking and the person who it is being asked about, and then translated at the devinatory part, why would distance make any difference?

Surely if the person is there or not, would make no difference to the outcome.

I'm unsure about pendulums as divinatory tools, but you could probably do a lot worse than reading any of the works by the late, great Tom Lethbridge. he had plenty to say on the subject. Ghost and Divining Rod is a good place to start.

Using a Ouija Board as a tool for divination is, in my opinion, NOT a good idea. Check out the two current threads on the subject on this forum. (Although it probably wont do you any good to read right to the end of the one where me, Althalus and Kismit start going on and on and on about enlightenment and the philosophical problems of infinity.)

Hope that helps. (fat chance)

Actually that is why i'm asking Althalus...It is said that the pendulum is for use to get to know yourself better...Not for fortune telling...And it is only supposed to answer questions pertaining to what you already know and don't know (about thing's in your life) I'm wondering if it's possible to know thing's about other peoples lives without them concentrating or know the question that is being asked?
Or if it is just a coincidence...For example i asked my pendulum if a close friend i had would end our freindship (because me and her have been having problems) i tried to make it so she would end it by telling her to end if she could not accept me for certain thing's and the pendulum said both times i asked that she would not end the friendship....How can the pendulum tell me what she would do, Or how she feels? that's baically what i'm asking if anyone knows.

Nah Aslan i no longer use a Quija board...I posted a response already to one of those...But i'm gonna check out this Tom Lethbridge guy...Thanks.

A friend of mine can use a pendulum to see if a woman is pregnant, and if it will be a boy or girl, twins, etc....

People use pendulums to find water for wells too. Even how deep they are etc...
dragonflamer
pendulums can be used to go back and forth without stopping if you have the right kind...and you can watch them going and try to stop them without touch to practice kinetics...I cant do that yet though.

It is fairly easy to control a pendulum consciously; most people can do so in their first attempt. Simply draw a circle with two lines dividing it into quarters on a blank sheet of paper. Resting your elbow on a table, lightly hold the pendulum string between your thumb and forefinger, over the center of the circle on the paper. Keeping your arm relaxed, simply think of the pendulum swinging up and down, following one of the lines you drew. Do Not Move Your Arm. It is unlikely that you will feel anything, but the muscles in your arms and hands will begin to affect the pendulum and it will begin swinging over the line. Once you have a good swing going, try swinging over the other line, then going clockwise, then counter-clockwise.

Because this is such an immediate feedback, it makes the pendulum one of the cheaper methods for learning about yourself. By designating one of your lines as a YES and one as a NO, you can ask questions. The purpose of moving the pendulum consciously is so that you can tell when you are doing so. Remaining calm and moving the pendulum unconsciously allows you to analyze information much more efficiently. When you ask questions about other people, you analyze data that you never knew you had gathered, such as small changes in attitude or tone of voice. It is important, however, to remember that the answers are coming from your mind, which means that it is you analyzing everything, and you coming to those conclusions.

the only pendulum ive seen though weighs about 200 pounds, and it was at a science museum...dont think i could stop that one laugh.gif
aquatus1
Heck, I used a 1/2 nut on the end of a piece of twine.
dragonflamer
wouldnt wind resistance be able to stop that?
aquatus1
Not really. You can make it swing faster or slower at will. Wind resistence is negligeable.

.. Don't touch the pendulum, just hang it on something stationary. Close all window, and shield it from your own breath... and see if you can still make it moves wink2.gif

I should try that someday. I thought you were supposed to take one of those "never stopping" pendulums and make it stop...but this sounds like more fun.
