Three Dead Kids
A woman was giving her daughter a bath while her 3 year old son was supposed to be watching her infant. The boy found the soft spot on the baby's head and pushed, and pressed his finger into the child's brain and killed it. Horrified the boy ran out of the house and into the street where he was hit by an oncoming truck. The woman ran outside to see what was going on, after her hysterical reaction she discovered that the daughter had drowned in the bathtub.
How unlucky is she. Is this a True Story.

Isn't there another version, where the mother leaves the three children in the bathroom when theres a knock at the door, one child drowns, something happens to the other and the third slips on the stairs to tell the mother. The person at the door gave word that her husband had died in the current war.
Maybe a totally different story or a variation.

Gross.

I knew a girl who had two daughters and one was really young, and we were giving the infant a bath and her toddler started beating it in the head with a shampoo bottle. We literally had to drag her away from the infant because she wouldn't stop.

This reeks of an urban legend. One concocted to warn parents of all the horrible things that could happen if you're a careless parent. Most urban legends have some sort of lesson to take away. Don't pick up hitch hikers. Don't take home someone you just met. Be careful what you eat or drink. Don't go out alone at night. Keep an eye on your children.
Look at everything that would have to happen for this scenario to be true.
1. Leaving an infant in the care of a three year old- Who does this? Wouldn't it make more sense to put an infant in a playpen or crib to ensure their safety? Leaving an infant in the vicinity of a three year old seems to be begging for trouble.
2. Allowing a three year old to babysit- Firstly, there's no way a three year old could babysit anyone. What could the child do if the infant was in trouble? Most three year olds are pretty oblivious and if the infant was in some sort of trouble it seems highly unlikely he'd even recognize anything was wrong and run to mom for help. When my kids were three they were jumping off furniture and trying to get into anything they could. They weren't capable of babysitting. I think most parents truly understand what they're children are capable of doing and not doing and wouldn't leave a three year old to babysit.
3. The three year old runs from the house- Someone with small children doesn't lock the doors or have safety latches? One of the first things I did when my kids became toddlers was put latches on all the doors leading outside. You put the latches on the very top of the doors so they're no way they can reach them even if they stand on a chair. This keeps them from wandering outside if you're in the kitchen or answering the door if someone rings the bell.
4. The child runs into the street and gets hit- Possible. It happens. On top of everything else that has happened it seems very unlikely.
5. The mother abandons a child in the tub to see what's going on- Again, who does this? Was she one of the few people on the planet to not understand the bathtub is one of the most dangerous places in a home to a child under six? If the child doesn't drown she can scald herself with hot water, grab an electrical appliance and drop it into the water, drink a bottle of delicious smelling apple scented shampoo, fall and hit her head on the tub or faucet, or climb out and hit her head. The woman just leaves her own child alone in the bathtub not knowing if what is going on pertains to her in any way.
This is the epitomy of bad parenting. I could see a parent being careless in one or two of these aspects and something happening but to just be that blatantly ignorant and careless really doesn't seem possible to me. I'd think if that's how she cared for her children that it would be miraculous that they lived as long as they did.
Urban legends always seem to go for maximum horror. A child dying by the careless act of another (infant having his soft spot pushed in by a sibling until he dies), a child dying due to his own ignorance (running into traffic), and one dying in an awful accident (drowning). If you look at all these deaths it sort of makes your stomach turn. Each of these children seem to die in the most awful way they could and within a matter of minutes with prevention being the only way the mother could have possibly saved them. The mother in the story didn't do anything right.
It seems just too horrific to be true.

I have heard one where it is very similar.
A mother was washing her baby boy and the daughter(older) asked "what is that thing was on his stomach?"
The Mother, busy and not in the mood to explain what exactly the difference between a male and female was decided to say "Oh, the doctor just forgot to cut that off."
Suddenly there was a crash in the dining room, she ran out to go see what it was, the cat had knocked over a vase on the table, knowing nothing to bad happened she began to return to the bathroom...
when she heard her baby boy screaming.
She ran up the stairs and saw the baby and all the water around him stained red. She looked over at her daughter who had scissors.
Horrified, she grabbed a blanket and scooped up the child and ran to the car.
She reversed it out of the driveway, finding she hit a bump. She kept moving until she saw her crushed daughter. (she ran her over)
The baby died of blood loss and the girl was killed instantly.
Ahhhh!
