NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A local couple went back to the place they met for their wedding ceremony -- a McDonald's drive-thru window.
Family and friends showed up for the unique marriage, as the couple took their vows and started their new life together.
It wasn't your typical drive-thru exchange between customer and cashier, but Monday night it wasn't your typical drive-thru.
The window was closed at 8 p.m. for an unusual wedding ceremony.
Ken Sinchar and Lori Sherbondy met at the drive-thru window four years ago.
Sinchar said, "I came here for lunch everyday. I saw her once and that was it. Came here twice a day after that."
"It was love at first sight, and I looked forward every day to him coming to get his meal," Sherbondy said.
Monday night, he came to get a wife. And already, Sinchar was showing the wisdom that most husbands take years to discover.
"It was mostly all her idea, but that's what she wants. It makes her happy. So this is why we're doing this. This is where we met," he said.
The judge ended the ceremony by saying, "Before their friends, family, the Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese, I pronounce you husband and wife."
Go ahead and ask if it's "cheesy," or "Do you want fries with that wedding?" They've heard all the McDonald's jokes.
The couple plans a honeymoon in Hawaii in October.

Cute story. But I don't think I would want to be married at McDonald's drivethru.

I'd get married at McDonalds . . . I'd get married anywhere to the man I truly love!

After our wedding, we were starving so went via maccas to the hotel.
I got changed at the wedding reception, so didn't have the gown on though.

Not as bad as the couples who get married at Wal-Mart.
