Geez, Faeden. You seem to bring out the creeps, huh? laugh.gif

Anyway, this may be redundant on my part, but the "spirit" in the pic looks like a processing error. I've actually heard of 2 separate instances that a spirit was felt leaving a body, both from reliable sources. But I don't think that's a soul pic. thumbsup.gif

wowow..WSB, I would love to see that..but would not want someone to die just so i could. blush.gif

Yeah, in one case, it scared the guy. He checked on a driver from an auto accident. He said the spirit "whooshed" out of the body as he stuck his head in the car window. In the other case (my grandad) everyone was around the hospital bed, and they all "felt" the moment he left his body. Unfortunately, I wasn't there. But according to my mom, it was an experience of a lifetime. She couldn't really describe it. Only say it felt "calm"? In both cases, the observers had what they say is a life-changing event.

The thing is, the spirit is mental, or our consciousness

but what if our spirit or soul is not mental, but an entity or essence.

Well I believe the spirit is mental, but has an astral body which is only an extension of the thoughts it projects. The spirit is the mind, it just becomes more restricted by physical laws when in a physical body, and can only perform what the physical brain will allow. I believe the whole of the spirit world is like a huge universe of everyone and everything’s thoughts, all connected together as a web, and the whole web is the god force. I kind of look at us as individuals, and the universe and god as like the Borg from Star Trek, just in a more positive light than what there nature is. All the consciousness in the universe added together are not going to weigh a thing.

When my uncle died (at only 49 years old) there was about 9 people in the room. His wife was holding one of his hands and my mother (his sister) was holding his other hand. Just before he passed he was consious briefly, and at that time said he wasn't afraid that his mother (my grandmother) was there to guide him Home. My mother and my aunt (his wife) both say they felt something the moment his spirit left his body.

EDIT: I'm curious about Faeden's pic, as it's not there anymore???

Theory and it will be always theory and I hope and pray that someday there will be an Grand Unified Theory. "All connected together as a web"< I like that because that theory will fall into the area of Quantum Mechanics. Another way of looking at it, is that your body tugs on a star, a earth ,a person on the Andromeda galaxy which is travelling 20 km per second towards us. Its nice to know that a group of ppl can refect on the same ideas thumbsup.gif Yes!! The Universe(s) is Aware and it Knows we are here. alien.gif

It's still a pity that the answers we all seek will be truly known only after each of us passes on. If I pass on I hope Saruman leaves my membership active for a year after. Just in case the after life get's an Internet Connection! thumbsup.gif

I meant the topic photo. Where is it located?

EDIT: I was on another computer before (working...sort of. LOL), and no photo was loading then. But I just checked your first post on my personal computer and there it was! Very interesting indeed!

I don't know if the picture is fake or not, but I've spoke of this here before.

When my friend died I was with her and a ball of energy very similar in size to the one in the picture was hovering just above her face in the last minutes of her life. (she was being kept alive by machines.) As soon as she passed on the energy ball disappeared.

Hi sbd43

Thanks for the reply, this could very well be faked yes, as faked photos are nothing new, but older photos do have more validity to them.

I'm not necessarily saying it is faked -- there are enough things which can cause odd photos.

I have to politely challenge your statement that "older photos do have more validity to them". Sure, it is easier for the average person to produce fake photos now. But photo fakery, for entertainment and deception, has been around as long as photography. Here's a site which shows examples going back to the 1860s.

Lonecat here,

Caustic, you really did display self knowledge in choosing your user name. So Julius Caesar was stupid. He always wrote in the third person. If that is being stupid then there is hope for me yet. LONECAT, alias Gaivs, alias Haunted, real name Terry. geek.gif

Hi There Faeden,

I have had a look at the picture in question and it looks to me by looking at it that it might be some sort or Orb or a cluster of orbs. ANother theory that I came up with is this maybe the energy ball of someone or something. I am not sure but gonna have a little investigation here. dontgetit.gif

Hi all

This is supposed to be taken at the time of someone’s death, in the 50s or 60s maybe earlier, it was not uncommon in them days for people to take photos of peoples deaths, especially in spiritualists circles.

Here is the information I found to accompany the photo.

Cindy writes, "This picture was brought to my attention by the lady who develops my pictures. She told me that it was taken right as the mother took her last gasp of air. Her husband had died before she had. Given the time of the era, trick photography was unheard of. What do you think?"

WOW, I never really believed you could see the spirit this way, but man it's hard to dis, since it looks as you said like a old photo, I guess this would be about the most proof you would get on this subject.

nope. trick photography has been around as long as the camera. nuff said.

I'm agreeing with 101. If you look close and follow the pattern it seems that the entity is moving up and away from the body.

Something else (and I guess I am really showing my age here) -- but the sparkly pattern in the photo is very reminiscent of the old flash bulbs used in photography. They had a "firework" pattern just like that -- I recall getting flashed for photos with them, and the afterimage on your retina had that firework pattern. My folks had a camera that used them -- I am talking the old large pop-out type in a round reflector, not the Instamatic flashcubes -- and I was always fascinated by them as a kid. After they flashed, there would be a spotty coating on the inside of the bulb and if you got to it fast enough the flecks would still be glowing.

Since seeing this photo the other night, the memory had been tickling around in my head and finally "flashed" a few minutes ago.
