i don't really get much of the story but thats weird

Whats not to get ?. The spirit of the dead lady travelled to the couple, and told them about her baby. Although she was dead and cannot help the baby, her ghost informed the nearest people, which came to the babies aid.

Seems to be a variant of the old "Hitchhiker that dissapears when the car goes by a graveyard" story
