For those of you who do not know about the "Satanic panic" that spread from the early 80s to the mid 90s please read the following links and the links within it, it is a fascinating read and makes you think.

SATANIC RITUAL ABUSE (SRA)

Christian propaganda is nothing new, its been going on for 100s of years, but in the early 1980s for around 10 years, religious fundamentalists where writing books, and appearing on talk shows trying to convince the world (mainly America), about a huge satanic abuse problem, they spread out right lies half truths, and made up stories of horrific child abuse, that were so horrific for those involved that many oppressed the memories and forgot about it, and only remembered it under hypnotherapy AKA "recovered memory therapy"

They tried to convince anyone that would listen, that there where up to a million Satanists through out America from bus drivers to judges, from police men to Dr's, they claimed that up to 60,000 satanic murders where happening each year in America alone, if this where the case how come there is no evidence of it, and how come it doesn’t fit in with the missing persons statistics?

Many of the people that had the recovered memory therapy where proven to be making up the stories. One example is where someone told of how she had a half formed foetus taken out of her when she was a teenager, and was made to watch it been mutilated, later tests proved that she had never been pregnant in her life.

The Chat show host GERALDO RIVERA did shows on the subject convinced that it was going on, and because so many people in America watched it and believed it, a huge number of arrests followed, where children had seen the show and accused friends and family of satanic child abuse, the mass-hysteria continued.

Soon the so called Satanic abuse was proven to be fake, and propaganda, not just atheists, but pagans and Christians too also investigated the claims of a secret satanic abuse problem in America, all came to the conclusion that it was all sensationalism fantasy and lies.

Geraldo later apologised publicly for all the harm he had done to America, and because of all the innocent people who went to jail because of his shows

Here is what he said about his contributing to the 80s satanic panic.

"I want to announce publicly that as a firm believer of the 'Believe The Children' movement of the 1980's, that started with the McMartin trials in CA, but NOW I am convinced that I was terribly wrong... and many innocent people were convicted and went to prison as a result....AND I am equally positive [that the] 'Repressed Memory Therapy Movement' is also a bunch of CRAP..."

Real evil is much more insidious than all of that anyway. Real evil exists from the Church pulpit to the Presidency. It is a way of life that people accept thinking it to be "patriotic" or "of god". But you can see the fallicy in thier policies and how the world is treated.

The environment is a good litmus test for real evil. We think ourselves a great nation here in America and in many ways we are but not in the way of might makes right. All of our technology and prowess did not help the environment...our militaries blowing up nukes in space did not help the environment. The world now calls good evil and evil good.

I am not a christian but I like the part in the bible wher it says that the devil will always appear as an angel of the light so he can mislead us. If we were embarked on a true and just course, it would show in our environment and in our policies. Our churches would voice more opinion about the human condition...I say everything we think is dear to us has been perverted and we are misled to support our present infatuation with death. The first thing people would need to do is dismantle all of the worlds militaries. Sound crazy? Well our militaries are killing innocent people and have been for over a hundred years now not to mention irradiating us with their stupid weapons...at least this way we all would have a chance.

Drugs do not make the worlds present condition go away eric...there are very horrible things happening to our atmosphere and the rest of our environment, but instead of addressing the issues, the worlds leaders continue on our present course of destruction...guess its more economical...heh.

No doom and gloom eric...its a reality my freind. Most people dont care so it doesnt bother them...but if you ever did bother to notice you would see that the world is going through changes that will make life hard for us in the future.

Humanity should have used oil reserves to get us to a point of cleaner technology then done away with it because its so poisonous. We know its poisonous and it is poisoning our water supply. We never should have grown like this. Neither should other nations. Government regulations were in pl,ace to protect the public not help destroy it. This my freind is the real evil that all people need to fight. Forget the politics...this is much more important.

It's hard to say if all accusations of SRA are false, or if all abuses are satanic. Some people may be satanists but say they don't worship satan. Ted Gunderson has talked quite a bit about SRA and how it is covered up in the government investigation, so the details the public recieves is false.

In the end I guess I haven't done very much research into SRA, and I'm sure it has been greatly exagerated but to say it's completly false is a big assumption.

You must Remember Satan is real just like God is, and Jesus. Satan has been given free will to a certain extent by God to tempt human kind to do evil and make bad decisions. Satan's plan is to get everyone to turn away from God. God is light, the only other place to is the darkness.

Religion is also an assumption.

I am sure that people have killed in the name of the "entity Satan", or the ideology of Satan, but Satan is also an assumption. If you study spirituality with no dogma all the evidence points to Satan being made up by fear mongering control freaks. My post is highlighting that propaganda was used to try and convince the world that Satan is everywhere, and that Satanists where all around you just to promote there religion.

The near death experience you quoted could be interpreted in a 100 different ways. Probably about 95 % of near death experiences never involve any religious figure at all, and the ones that do always see the religious figure they worship, be it Jesus, Allah, Goddess and so forth.....

Most Satanists don't worship some red-skinned goat man with a goatee and a pitchfork, and they certainly don't kidnap and sacrifice people. Satanism is more of a philosophy of living than a religion.

You are right, but I have seen some "Satanists" do some despicable things to animals, like cut up live puppies and kittens (not while I was there I might add but in the news) and I am sure that there are people out there that have done murders in the name of "Satan" or the ideas that come with Satanism, even if they do not believe in Satan as a entity. Most of them however are stupid teenagers. Such as that evil idiot that killed his friends parents the so called Vampire Rod Ferell, and the German Satanists Daniel and Manuela Ruda and Edward Crowley and also Mathew Hardman

hi you should get David Ickes book children of the matrix, I know you are thnking hes a nutter but it has some information about the illuminates abuse of children, and the conditioning they put the kids through before they ritually abuse them.

Also evidence leads towards a case in Britain about a little girl called Sarah Payne, you might have heard about it, being ritualistically abuse by the masons, before being kidnapped and murdered she drew a picture resembling a picture in a free masons hand book, very very odd don't you think.

This is kind of fun..If you read the posts from the top down in order you'll see some of our most ardent conspiracy supporters using this false panic conspiracy as a segway to promote other conspiracies and assumed evil agendas..

I was alive during the 80's and there were the same rumors of mass Satanic Cults in my area as we're talking about here..Absolutely everyone believed that..As the years passed however we came to find out there was no Satanic conspiracy afoot and rationality returned a bit..

I have read a lot about David Icke and his beliefs and listened to him a number of times on Coast to Coast, he mixes truth and facts in with Lunacy. He is a very intelligent man but unfortunately he has started to believe his own fantasies, he reads into things to much, and comes up with bizarre claims. An interesting guy but yet a mad man, remember he clamed on live TV once to be the son of god.

In a sense faeden, we are ALL the sons and daughters of god. Everyone also is a god(ess). We are intelligent beings capable of creation. Everything that happens here happens through us, by us...etc. We also have such power so as to be able to destroy an entire planet. The power to allow good or evil to work through us like channels of a power greater than ourselves.

I really dont think Icke meant that he IS the ONE Son of God...as a matter of fact he is not Christian and does not believe the story of Jesus to be real anyway.

I love Davids Headline news page. True news events that he posts to illustrate his point of view. I also like the headlines page because for the most part it is an "aliens free zone" if you know what I mean. A lot of people belief in a GOD is PURE fantasy so I ask why should his version seem any less ridiculous than a Catholic or a Hindu or whatever? None of it can be proven anyway but I wonder why so many people give David Icke a hard time when he is really one of the only people on the web that gives an alternative news insight with a spritual angle. You know what I mean? Like why do people have to starve by the millions? Icke speaks spiritually about why its like it is and will offer a spiritual solution. He sees through the thin veneer of propaganda fed to us daily and thats a good thing.

I agree with you to some extent, I believe we are all the sons and daughters of god yes, but the way Icke said it he was saying it as if he was "Thee" son of god.

I also do not agree with all that he says, which is where the me thinking he is a loony comes in. I know that the governments of the world are slowly controlling us under our very eyes yes, I do not know if they are directly responsible for some of the recent terror attacks (although it would not surprise me that much) but one thing I know for sure is many world leaders must have jumped with joy when the attacks happened because they can use them to induce more fear into the all ready fearful public so they can impose more controls on the public, and to put in place there big brother state, And to convince the public that its OK to go to war and invade other countries that have things they want, but where I start to disagree with Icke is when he starts talking about Bush and Blair and other people of power being shape shifting reptilians, and that they all do satanic rituals in Bohemian Grove, that is just pushing my acceptance of the conspiracy just a little to far.

Your right however about the no proof of the other religions thing, but shape shifting reptilians ruling the world and Bush sacrificing babies to an owl headed god is pushing the boundaries of reality just a little to far. And as Icke says him self "God save us from religion"

Concerning this thread...I think people are too easily fooled with words like "faith" and "patriotism" to do some of the worlds most heinous crimes. Today we think of Hitler as the "ant-christ" but everyday working people, mothers, fathers, preists...all supported him...even with their lives, willingly.

There comes a point when you have to question your faith and your country when your values are at stake. If you dont have those values then you are nothing more than a tool or a pawn doing the devils business. Its so easy not to care.

Your right many people are tricked into doing evil, and become convinced they are actually doing it or supporting it for good. Evil is very easily glossed over when the reward promised is something that will greatly benefit you.

When someone has been pumped full of fear, the fear supplier can then use there fear paralysed victim as a puppet, both physically and mentally, extreme and contradictory patriotism is a perfect example of that.

There is a fine line between racism, fascism, and patriotism unfortunately, and many do not realise they have crossed that line being its so thin.

There was a great deal of hype in the later 80's about this, Mother's of blue eyed blond children, where scared to death their kids would be stolen and killed in the name of Satan, This was proven to be in large a bunch of BS.. Just as a lot of the hype about the government will be proven to be BS...

If you ask me, the real conspiracy is why - in the UK - did Social Services get away with destroying so many families with their ridiculous trumped up charges of satanic ritual abuse? Several communities were torn apart. I'm not even sure if all the children dragged off into care were ever returned to their parents. And all along not one single shred of evidence.

As to whether Bush was actually there, no, but he has the Groves full list of members, and caught plenty of hotshots in the cremation of care ritual he got on tape. Gergen also confessed on paper to having been to it and that "at least I wasn't naked running aroun like them (Jeb and George Bush)".
