During my NDE, when I was viewing my earthly body from above, one clear thing to me was that my consciousness went with me. Who I was, my beliefs, my angers, my prejudices and my joys were still with me. They did not stay with my earthly vessel.
Another vivid memory was the sense that everything was connected and everything was as it was supposed to be.
Before you condition that statement, stop and think about it for a moment.
You are who you are right now, and that is exactly who you are supposed to be.
Some will argue that you chose this current path, and if you are christian (or whatever) you chose to live this current life, experiencing christianity. How you experience it is up to you.
It took me a while to understand the concept of connection, but think about this for a minute.
You are who you are today, but how many of you look at who made you who you are?
Your parents have a great deal of influence on this, but where you fail to notice is that your parents were also a product of their parents, and their parents a product of the parents before them...and so on. Generation after generation of parents with their own prejudices, joys, angers, filtered through the next generation where some are kept some are not. You today, do some things similar to your parents and refuse to do others because you did not like that part of them. Well, don't you think your parents and their parents before them did as you are doing today?
Is this not learning from your parents mistakes?
Further, also contributing to who you are here were teachers, friends, family members, girlfriends, boyfriends, neighbors, strangers, workmates, the list is endless. Whether you admit it or not, these people also had a hand in making you who you are right now. But you can't stop there either, each one of these other people, like you, also had many many people make them who they are.
Many generations and many many people that have come before you have helped you become you, and every person you meet has also had the same condition.
In this regard you are part of the evolution of mankind for many people not yet dreamed of will have a part of you in them. In this regard you are deathless.
What message are you sending into the future?
Everyday, in your actions you are sending a message into the future.
We have seen many of the prejudices of your parents parents parents slowly disappearing like skin colour, being a woman etc...because the next generation that followed updated their personal beliefs and taught them to their children that then updated them to fit their own life and then taught the next generation that also did the same.
The same thing is happening to religion. More and more people are leaving the structure of doctrine and allowing themselves to discover what is right for them.
Some will remain steadfast to their beliefs and teach them to their children who will update them and then teach that to their children.
Surely in this world, we can have room for differing opinions, without feeling threatened. Perhaps a good exercise would be instead of lashing out in anger at posts that disturb you, you can look inside you and discover in yourself why you feel anger. Peel back the onion, and you will find great joy.

I have not had an NDE as such, but I share much of the same beliefs as you Turtle, your a good guy, and its a shame that others to not take onboard the points you have just made in the above post.

Hatred spreads around the planet like a cancer, destroying everything in its path, love spreads around the world like a healer, fixing all that hate has destroyed. Lets hope that love is always behind hate following it around the world putting right the evils of that hate and of the paralysing ignorance it causes, better still lets hope that love will out run hate, catch it and engulf it. Its up to us to make examples to the future people of this world, to give love a firmer grip on the world.

How we are now, and who we are not, will effect the world to come, so who we are is one of the biggest responsibilities we have to offer the world, and those who will walk it in generations to come. If people where to understand that, instead of hiding behind there egos, and fears, and ignorance’s, then love will run just that little bit faster.....

Turtle How have you used this experience in your life??? I to prefer the mentations that we are perfect and complete as we are, My favorite concept is WE ARE ALL ONE!!!! To have remembered that life is eternal and death is simply a doorway is a great gift, I feel you can truly live when you have made friends of death and simply find it was nothing to be afraid of to begin with. I am not concerned with the manner you recieved the message only the nature of the message and turtle its a good one it is positive and loving and thankyou for being brave enough to share. Thank you Turtle for sharing that. This is what is called enlightenment. I am glad you have found it. It is a wonderful thing. You don't have to go through a NDE to find it, but it happens. You are in a rare group of people that include Budda, Jesus(I think his message was corruped), the current Dali Lama, Plutinous and many many others. Keep sharing Turtle.

Faeden-- I hope I am a really good guy, but I don't think my x-wife would concur I Have never been one to argue my point because I feel it has the opposite effect on people. Having said that though, I must admit I admire your determination to show the prison people are living in.

I am strill a work in progress though, so many questions, which lead to so many more has me feeling that sometimes I am walking up the down escalator
The key to DISCOVERY is an open mind, and to that end still have a long way to go. We are all conditioned and some are more difficult to pierce than others.

While my ex[erience aided in my metamorphysis from someone whom was living the life of a victim to one that takes responsibility for his own actions and life, I hope that I can help others whom wish it.
