Heard some say that the technology is the antichrist, some say he is a human, some say it is a concept, some say anticrhist was the emperor Nero from Rome, some say antichrist is anybody who is not Christian, so is there a true answer or just believe whatever you wish ...
Natael
99.99% chance a human male.

A ~50 years-old hardcore right-wing religious politician with lots of passion, to be more precise.

In a sense I think that Technology and Science will end up being the Anti-Christ. Faith vs. Science. wiggle.gif

So, according to some people, just because I'm not a Christian, that means I might be an antichrist?

Wow. I'm famous and didn't even know it. devil.gif

Wasn't the anti-christ supposed to come along by the end of the Millenium? Which, was, er, 1,000 years ago.......

Actually the Antichrist is ..... WALMART! and I submit this posting from another websit as proof positive:

Wal-Mart...you either love it or hate it. What started out as a pretty good idea has grown like a cancer to kill, maim, and otherwise destroy each community it infiltrates. Squashing the competion, use of child labor, low wages and unfair treatment of employees is just part of the "Wal-Mart way. Always"

And they're not just a department store anymore, ohhh nooo; delicatessen, bakery, garden center, automotive center, vision center complete with optometrist and glasses made while you wait, and the latest addition a financial center. Hell, all they need now is laundry service and their own ob/gyn center and the city limits sign can be posted on each end of the building. My fiance was telling me that she saw tonight that Wal-Mart in Europe is going to start offering a matching/dating service! (I hope this is some sort of messed up joke.)

I went in tonight after work to buy a pack of chewing gum. Well, wouldn't you know it they stopped carrying my favorite brand. No news there, right? Every time I find something I like they quit carrying it. Not only that but you have to bag your own groceries these days. In addition to that the only checkouts open late at night are the self-checkout. Ahhh, I remember the good ol' days when a real person bagged your stuff, in paper if you wanted it, and some guy needing some summer cash to fix up his car would wheel the buggy out and unload it for you.

While I was standing there checking myself out, trying not to look like a complete ignorant dumby, it started me thinking about how everything now is electronic and the supposedly coming of electronic money we've all heard about for years.
Without that barcode, and it being correctly in the system, you can't "buy or sell" any darn thing. And with identity theft on the rise wouldn't it be a smart idea to just put some sort of personal code or mark on the person him/herself? Wow, think how useful that would be ladies and gentlemen. Step right up. I think you can see where I'm going here with this.

So a question: do you think we're all in for a personal, albeit invisible to the eye, barcode? I don't think even Nostradamus saw this manure coming. If so, when do you think it will be here?

You know, I never did get my gum.

I did have to edit this some, the other website allows mild cursing - Charlie

Any chance i can get an autograph?

Hosestly, i always figured the antichrist would be a human, simply because i can't imagine someone roughly 1750 years ago writing about our technology. It would be like you writing on what humanity will be like over a timespan that long.

Well I guess it all depends on what religeon you are. To the Christians the Antichrist will be a man that will come after the rapture. He will come promising world peace and unification. He will have some of the same qualities as Jesus Christ. Being born of a virgin and being stabed in the side and not dieing. This will lead many to believe that he actually is Jesus. Then the Jewish religeon will think that the Messiah has finally come, when the Christians think that he has already come. So the world will start to love and follow this man. He will make everyone take the mark of the beast. Which is what the Wal-Mart boy was talking about. It will be a mark, either in the forehead or palm of the hand, that you have to scan to buy groceries, see a doctor, or pretty much anything else you want to do. So the ones that do not want to follow this one world leader will have to rely on a black market. After 7 years of this mans reign Jesus will come back to get his people that have made it threw the tribulation and have accepted him. This will lead to the battle of Armegedon. So I guess if you are not a Christian you dont believe it. Me myself I am still on the fence. Dont really know that i believe.

i'm basically undecided on the issue myself. I don't know if jesus was the son of god or not, but that whole "love thy neighbor" idea of his commands respect.

I've always assumed Lucifer would pose as Christ returned.

If you follow the story, Lucifer learned of God's plan, didn't like it and wanted to destroy man. First by destroying the earth, second by corrupting man.

I've always assumed that Christ was God in the flesh. I've always assumed God could violate physical laws. Angels could too, fallen or otherwise.

Sure explains things I've seen.

[SIZE=7] ANTICHRIST WAS DEFINED:

"By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit [prophet] that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God [as the apostles]. And every spirit [prophet] that does not confess that Jesus [Man] Christ [God] has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard [2Thess 2] was coming, and is now already in the world [AD 66]" - 1 John 4.2-3.

All churches denying that Jesus is God are Antichrist.

And there are several of them today.

The anti-christ is the product of the illusions of a fanatic visionary on the Island of Patmos, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think he was. I can't think of any passage or scripture to back up that claim.

Actually this only applies to certain groups of Christians. Many Christians do not see the antichrist as a person at all. The idea of the antichrist is linked to the pre-millenial beliefs (which I do not hold). Of course i could be wrong, but that's another story altogether.

Hmm....the anti-christ? I guess he'll be....er....Nothing, because it's just a metaphore for evil person, like the rest of the Bibles scripture?

I think that the antichrist won't be coming in a long while. I don't get why alot of people think that the end of the world is coming soon just because a few things aren't going well, I mean...Look at the middle ages, things were really not going well back then, but did people think that it was the end of the world? No.

People should stop listening to all the quacks on the internet preaching about the apocalypse, and notice that we live in an age of communication, which means that all the quacks can get together and try to get you to beleive this ****. No, mankind isn't doomed. No, the antichrist is NOT among us. And no, this stuff isn't happening for a long, long time.

Actually, I have heard the katholic church is the anti christ.

Which makes sense, since the pope translated means Vater. Back in the day, They had all the power to kill whoever didnt fit in. They chose who could buy or sell and some had a cross burned on their foreheads or their right hand. How true my source is is questionable though. But it is a good point.

After recently not putting any belief into the New Testiment, I don't think there is any anti-christ, but I'm still a Christian... You know, the anti-christ is more like an allegory to me like... Hitler would fit the posistion of the anti-christ if there would ever be one.

The Anti-christ and the Apocalypse are "subconscious" concepts.
GIDEON MAGE
the "anti-christ" is a very very concoction of b.s. to keep xians in fear. that way, if any new prophets, e.g. marx, mohammed, joseph smith, whoever, comes around, they can scream and hide in a little corner, and not face the fact that history progresses.
