any thoughts on the four-hour National Geographic special shown a couple of nights ago? It was a pretty extensive production and almost sucked me into believing the "Official" version of the dreadful events of that day again, but I just can't buy into what they were presenting. Is this more propaganda to gain more support for the Iraq "war"?

Thanks for bringing this subject up for discussion.
I watched about two hours worth last night. I didn't know it was four hours. From what I saw, it was very moving and gave me flashbacks to 9/11. To the average person it was very convincing and believable. To me however, I saw the propaganda wrapped in the fancy package. Mostly it was a lot of personal stories of that day. Very powerful. What they didn't tell you is all the evidence that makes the official story look ridiculous.
"Propaganda is persuading people to make up their minds while withholding some of the facts from them."
--Harold Evans
A major example is that they showed the pictures of all 19 hijackers when some are still alive today. For example
Waleed Al Shehri was one of five men that the FBI said had deliberately crashed American Airlines flight 11 into the World Trade Centre on 11 September. He is still alive. It was never covered in the American media at all. The average American has no idea they are being lied to. All you have to do is research it seriously to see the obvious discrepancies

National Geographic has always been a propaganda outlet for the well heeled establishment in this country. Thier anchormen are probably CIA. Never trust any "facts" from NG. NG =No Good

that nat.geo. show was the worst propaganda play on emotion i have ever seen--all they did was re-tell their lie without providing a shred of evidence--two alledged(as no physical evidence of this actually exists) cell phone calls was the only form of evidence they provided during the whole show other than the testimony of a mere two witnesses of the hundreds that were present--even the people they did show were using descriptions that were reminicent of bomb descriptions--one guy said that he was in the north tower when the south collapsed and he said that he could "feel" "shaking and tremors" that came from below "and" above before the tower collapsed--there were lots of "nuclear" hints dropped--i am pretty certain that i counted at least four references related to nukes--the transcripts they used to build up their faa "confusion" scenario was completely ridiculous as was the alledged decision to scramble jets that were nowhere near the rogue commercial aircraft that had deviated from their flight paths at the moment they were scrambled--imo this 9/11 special was the worst ever as far as proving the official story goes--it was surely meant as an emotional stimulus rather than a presentation of evidence--a sick operation of a trauma induced hypnotism followed by the repeated incantations of lies

You wanna talk about propaganda?
Look at the link you posted.
http://www.prisonplanet.comThen look at the link to one of their articles they say comes from the AP and Yahoo.
CLICK HERE FOR ARTICLENow why in the world would they not point to an AP article, or the actual Yahoo! article?
Why in the world would it still be a "prisonplanet.com" website address?

Okay, even their linking doesn't work.
Go here first.
http://www.prisonplanet.com/911.html#eveThen click on the article that says, "Agency Planned Exercise"
Something is just NOT adding up here, folks.

the only thing not adding up is the common cents in your head--if they depended on the actual news agency links as their presentation more than 3/4 would be dead or off topic links and your attemp at confusion is another example of the propaganda distracting from the reality of an inside job and on going cover-up --prisonplanet hosts "ALL" of their own material as a means of being meticulous and a dependable source of information--

NOPE! Not true!
There are SEVERAL places one can go on the internet to find LEGITIMATE articles written by the AP or by any website. ALL ARCHIVED.
We're not talking about articles written a couple of years ago here. We're talking about stuff that was written last WEEK!
I've searched through Yahoo's news stuff, and I see NO MENTIONS of the articles that PrisonPlanet posted.
And if THAT isn't enough, those people are ILLEGALLY using Yahoo's logo. I say that because I'm betting it's without permission.
They have a Yahoo logo on their website, with their website address. And if they're misrepresenting them....oh my. If I'm running Yahoo, then someone's ass is in a serious, serious sling.

Medic,
You are obviously not the brightest of the bunch. Prison planet is an archive site. They copy the article, and then post it on their site. Somtimes they link directly to the site. Most of the time the original site takes down the article and all that's left of the original is the copy from prison planet.
The only thing not adding up is your investigation.

Or, indeed, that a subsequent news story showed that the original one was incorrect

It does happen.......
And you shouldn't believe all you read in the media anyway - their purpose, after all, is to sell copy. And I know for fact (I have friends who have been misquoted by newspapers in recent months) that they frequently edit comments or quote them out of context in order to 'sex up' the story.
And the recent bombing in London showed how quickly an innocent occurence can be drawn into a conspiracy - there being a corporate training exercise being carried out by a city firm on the same day of the bombings. Seems odd, till you realise that such exercises have been commonplace in the City for the past decade or more....

I thought the program was very moving. I watched it both nights. I lost two cousins during 9/11 and for me, whether the government did it, knew about it, or some extremists did it, at the time it was not important. All my family wants is closure.

Seriously though, why don't you do some investigative research. Go to google, and search for other sources saying the same thing. That's how I became so smrt, I mean smart. ...Simpsons fans, should get that one.

With a little digging, you can often find the sources. Here are the MSNBC and Washington Post articles.... they really do exist. You have to pay for the full Newsweek article, the Post article is complete. But, they could have been removed entirely, which is why it's prudent to mirror the sites before they remove articles or edit their sites, just like the Andrews Air Force website did just after 9/11, for reasons most obvious. But TENC mirrored the site on 9/10/2001, so they got nailed!

The one thing very interesting about the episode I watched was at the end when they said something like FBI agent says America needs another terrorist attack.
The reason the US needs another terrorist attack is because all of our freedoms make us to vulnerable to random attacks by terrorists or common criminals. Americans are not willing to give up thier freedoms unless they have a reason to. Without another terrorist attack, America will stay vulnerable, because the only way for absolute security, is through a police state tracking and posivily identifying everyone everywhere.
The government actually wants another terrorist attack so they can implement all the police state measures they have been planning. Even if they find out about a terrorist attack ahead of time, they won't stop it. It's for your own good.
Of course, no one in thier right mind would ever attack the most powerfull country in the world with the biggest technologically advanced military, so they will have to have to stage another false flag terrorist attack like 9/11. Think of it as just a little nudge, to the get the population going in the right direction.
To all of you who put your blind faith in government remember this:
No government official can guarantee your safety! Government can only guarantee you a police state!
"If you really want to enslave people, tell them that you're going to give them total freedom,"
