A flying cloaked figure spotted in Serbia.

First of all....it ain't all that bullshit.....I am from Croatia and it is all over the news here. Off the record, it is a Mothman sighting. Red glowing eyes tells it all....

I belive this becouse there are a lot of people who saw the "creature". That city is really a very small town, and it is different when a people speak freely than under the pressure of the press. And god knows what story you guys got, and from what source. I haven't read the article you did, but I read the original Serbian version, and speaked with the pople of that town. If you are a sceptic about it, than you can try speaking to someone from that town using ICQ or something similar......

And yeah....it was seen on a hill close to the town too...and was reported 2 hours after the original sighting....

^^What I meant was, how are you so sure it was mothman? It was originally a localized phenomena that occurred in the 60's around Point Pleasant. The only reason people started to claim mothman sightings was because of that lame movie, which hardly followed the book at all.

Agreed...There have been many, many stories of flying people with wings or engines strapped to thier backs in the past..Not that I'm willing to vouch for their veracity, of course, but the reports are there. The Mothman however, seemed to be a severely restricted and local thing..

I'm going to take Atomos word for it. The movie was based on actual events. That brige really collapsed in real life, because the sightings of Mothman were all over in that town way before that movie. It could be a Mothman, but I remember that the reports say it wasn't wearing any clothing and was in the shape and looked like a giant moth and had no human like features, so it may be something else bring its self into the crypto world.

There were sightings of a similar creature in Russia, long before the movie. And if it really exists, it would seem it is moving.....somewhere. Ofcourse it is possible that some crazy Serb is flying on a jet pack or something like that, lol......I mean, we Croats hate Serbs so I am being very objective, if it is up to me, I would say that its all made up.

A crazy Serb flying around in a jetpack? Jetpacks are very very very expensive. The thought that someone would buy a jetpack type thing and use it just for pranks is as close to mental retardation as a sane person can get. It's kind of like buying a 747 to get free peanuts.

Cloaked as in material. The story here in Croatia is a little different than the story I've read in the submited article. When I've read the article you've read I was shocked by seeing how much details were lost in translation. Whatever it was, it flew from one building to another, than over the third building. It was later seen on a hill near town. It had a faint glow and a bright red eyes. This ended up in our newspaper and TV. I am trying to contact some of the people of that town, because I am very eager to find out what is it.......

the thing that kinda makes the mothman seem like a myth is that its eyes glow, thats what gets me because how and why would they glow.

When you read it like this, it sounds more like a Spring-Heeled Jack type of guy than mothman. Jack was reputed to have glowing eyes, and wore a cloak. Plus, it sounds more like the thing is hopping from building to building, rather than flying.

I don't believe in the Mothman but the discription for this thread was kinda funny. I'm not totally sure that it could be a Mothman at all.

There are many interesting documented cases of strange flying individuals i read a good deal about them in the unexplained by jerome clark which has all sorts of goodies in it.

It wasnt completely local, It was sighted in tranoble before/after the nuclear meltdown it was mentioned in the mothman prophecies
