This song is one I like we sing in Worship services.

Holiness, holiness is what I long for
Holiness is what I need
Holiness, holiness is what You want from me

Faithfulness, faithfulness is what I long for
Faithfulness is what I need
Faithfulness, faithfulness is what You want from me

(So) Take my heart and form it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it
To Yours, to Yours, Oh Lord

Righteousness, righteousness is what I long for
Righteousness is what I need
Righteousness, righteousness is what you want from me

(So) Take my heart and form it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it
To Yours, to Yours, Oh Lord

This song is so pretty and is a good worship song. I simply love it. I always sing it when I am struggling spiritually. What somgs do you listen to when your struggling spiritually?

I don't normally sing songs that glorify God. But when I go to church, I like to hear some of my favorites. Hear's one of them:

"One Bread, One Body"

One bread, one body, One Lord of all,
One cup of blessing which we bless.
And we, though many, throughout the earth,
We are one body in this one Lord.

Gentile or Jew, Servant or free,
Woman or man, No more.

One bread, one body, One Lord of all,
One cup of blessing which we bless.
And we, though many, throughout the earth,
We are one body in this one Lord.

Many the gifts, Many the works,
One in the Lord, Of all.

One bread, one body, One Lord of all,
One cup of blessing which we bless.
And we, though many, throughout the earth,
We are one body in this one Lord.

Grain for the fields, Scattered and grown,
Gathered to one, For all.

One bread, one body, One Lord of all,
One cup of blessing which we bless.
And we, though many, throughout the earth,
We are one body in this one Lord.

Hailo I have never heard of that song. Are you catholic?

Here is one of my favorites ritual songs we sometimes sing.

WE ALL COME FROM THE GODDESS

We all come from the Goddess
And to Her we shall return
Like a drop of rain
Flowing to the ocean

We all come from The Horned One
And to Him we shall return
Like a flash of flame
Ascending to the heavens

Hoof and Horn, Hoof and Horn
All that dies shall be reborn
Corn and grain, corn and grain
All that falls shall rise again

Don't know who wrote it.

Darkwind that is a neat song. It is one that really expresses how a person feels toward the goddess. What is the horned one? A man. The guy I know who is pagan only talks of the goddess. I never heard of this guy.

Deists have no songs, we do not praise that which does not ask for praise, but my favorite Christian song is Amazing Grace, probably because it was the first piece I learned to play on the bagpipes - Lo those many centuries ago! LOL yes.gif
Beastmode
I would have to say "All in ALL" and "Heart of Worship"
of coarse Amazing Grace always makes me cry, in a good way.

Are you serious about the bag pipes? grin2.gif That is so cool.

But why does your creator not want worship? Are they not superior to you? I know that to show my love to God I pray and worship him. That makes me feel like I show him all the love I can give. Plus by showing love to others.

I'm coming back to the heart of worship. Because it's all about you. It's all about you Jesus.

I love that song too! original.gif

I have many favorite hymns to glorify God, but here is one of my favorites.

"Jesus Loves Me"

Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.

Refrain

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! This I know,
As He loved so long ago,
Taking children on His knee,
Saying, “Let them come to Me.”

Refrain

Jesus loves me still today,
Walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
Light and love to all who live.

Refrain

Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.

Refrain

Jesus loves me! He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.

Refrain

the song l like to glorify my God is from the group "Third Day"

Your Love Oh Lord
Lyrics by Mac Powell

Your love, oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide
I will lift my voice
To worship You, my King
I will find my strength
In the shadow of your wings

I Listen to Christian music a lot mostly carols, because I think they are pretty, Silent Night is my favourite, I love singing along to that. I also like Gregorian Christian monk chanting, it makes me feel all spiritual and relaxed, I sometimes meditate to it.

I also used to love singing this song when in school assembly.....

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings,
God made their glowing colors, and made their tiny wings.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

The purple headed mountains, the river running by,
The sunset and the morning that brightens up the sky.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden: God made them every one.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

The tall trees in the greenwood, the meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water, we gather every day.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

God gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well.

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all.

All the best

My Avatar is a depiction of the Horned God. He is the God of the hunt, the forest, the animals. He is the consort of the Goddess: it is his rebirth that brings the forth the spring and summer and his death that brings the winter. As the Goddess is represented by the Moon he is represented by the Sun.

Here is a good link that explains all about him.
The Horned God

I like to have balance, so I like to include male energy and female energy. Goddess was ignored for a long time so the focus on Her, I guess, makes up for the neglect.
Thank you for your interest 101. cool.gif

Music is an exciting topic for me.
Why do we all have some connection to music.
Some like country ( like Me) some rock, some Hip Hop, reggae, soul,
It is a shame that we all can accept peoples differences in music, but not religion....but I digress tongue.gif
Some of my "contempoary favorites" are
Show me the Way-----Styx
The River------Garth Brooks
Dust in the Wind------Kansis
It feels Like Home to me---Chantel Kraviasuk
Carry on Wayward son-----Boston
Angels Amongst Us----- Brooks and Dunn
Tangerine Sheri
Without a doubt" Amazing Grace? as sung By Elvis, brings me to tears everytime Also "Jesus to a Child" by George Michael, moves me. Namaste sheri
Turtle
One of the only songs that brought me to tears was at a Christmas eve service where the youth choir sang "Oh Holy Night". It was to say the least inspiring.

Blessings

I share your religeon and we sing one similar.

Darksome night and shining Moon,
Hearken to the Witches' rune.

East then South, West then North,
Hear! Come! I call Thee forth.

By all the powers of land and sea,
Be obedient unto me.

Wand and Pentacle and Sword,
Hearken ye unto my word.

Cords and Censer, Scourge and Knife,
Waken all ye into life.

Powers of the Witches' Blade,
Come ye as the charge is made.

Queen of Heaven, Queen of Hell,
Send your aid unto the spell.

Horned Hunter of the night,
Work my will by magick rite.

By all the powers of land and sea,
As I do say, "So mote it be."

By all the might of Moon and Sun,
As I do will, it shall be done.

Eko, Eko Azarak, Eko, Eko Zamilak,
Eko, Eko Cernunnos, Eko, Eko Aradia.

I have so many songs I love, but a newer one that I really absolutely love is "Here I am to worship".

Light of the World
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes
Let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adore You
Hope of a life
Spent with You

Chorus:
Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days
Oh, so highly exalted
Glorious in Heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

Chorus...

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Chorus X2

that is such an awesome song l lreally like it too! (l have so many favorites its hard to name them all .
l also like the song 'The Lighthouse'

There's a lighthouse on a hillside
that overlooks life's sea.
When I'm tossed He sends out a light,
light that I might see.
And the light that shines in darkness now
Will safely lead me on
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
This ship would sail no more.

Oh I thank God for the lighthouse
I owe my life to Him
King Jesus is the lighthouse
Upon the rocks of sin
He has shone a light around me
That I could clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Then where would this ship be.

Everybody that lives around us
says tear the lighthouse down
You know the big ships
they don't sail by this way no more
so what's the use of it standing 'round?
Ahh, but then my mind goes way on back
to that stormy night,
when just in time, oh thank God I saw the light
T'was the light from that old lighthouse
that still stands up there on a hill.

Oh I thank God for the lighthouse
I owe my life to Him
King Jesus is the lighthouse
Upon the rocks of sin
He has shone a light around me
That I could clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Then where would this ship be.

Oh, If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Then where would this ship be.

Merry meet STR,
That is nice, but it is a spell. Be careful where you put that, it has a lot of energy. I never put spells on the internet. They can cause all kinds of trouble in the wrong hands. wink2.gif

we dont use it as a spell. But yes i soppose it could be one.

When I read it I could feel the energy in it. I would use it as a spell.
~*S.T.R.*~
Oh it definatly has energy. May I ask what you claim as your religon... What do you practice? If thats not to personal. THANKS!

Oh goodness. I have even thought of the song:

How great thou art.

That is pretty.

Darkwind,

Maybe one could only feel the energy if they believed in it. You think. Because I can sing a song about God and it mean everything and another might just sing it.

But thanks for telling me about the male in your song.

Even as a non-Christian, I love that one, especially sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford (you kids may not remember him- it was back in the stone age of black and white TV)!
