If u have any information on how to become a Lycan/werewolf please tell me because i wish to become one.
look trust me you dont want to become one, i am one and it hurts your friends to see you become an uncontrollable beast. as me and my friends are openminded they try to help but they cant stop it, i wear a silver pendant which stops the transformation but on full moons i take it off because the beast within gets angry when it dosnt get out every so often.
IF YOU WANT TO BECOME ONE: THINK OVER IT FOR A LONG TIME AND WEIGH UP THE PROS AND CONS (I WAS THROWN INTO THIS BY ACCIDENT AND IT WAS A GENETIC FLAW THAT I GOT IT) THEN EITHER- DRINK WATER FROM A WOLVES PAWPRINT - GET BITTEN BY A WERE/LYCAN - OR EAT WHAT A WOLF HAS EATEN.

werewolves - ah, I really wish they be truth... on the one part, I understand its completely impossible, on the other part, I wish so much it to be truth, that I will not deny its possibility...
I used to think for a while I wish to be a lycan too, but I changed my mind... Because its so mindless thing... the same as to commit suicide...some people do it just because they want attention, or want to be different, to have a secret, to suffer(?) It is a selfish thing... Why do you think you will be more happier being someone else? And why do you think you can endure this?

Werewolves (also known as Lycans) are people who have tranformed
to a wolf. Not everything of the old legend is true. For instance the transform
doesn't have to be at full moon. People change to a lycan (or in the beginning starting to suffer at lycantrophy) when they eat the meat of a prey that has been
recently hunted by a wolf. The transform doesnt happen at first by fullmoon but happens afther a while (depending on how strong you are mentaly and fysicaly).
How ever people say Lycans do not excist. But they do, only not in full form.
Some people suffer lycantrophy and are being drugged. The drugging stops the
transform and makes you go mad. In the dark ages (in northern lands specificly)
there where no medicene and people transformed. How ever the disease is
rare because nobody ever eats that meat. There are other ways of getting the
disease how ever I dont know how.. but looking into that. People say lycans
cant resist silver. This is not entirely true. They can resist it, but it stops there transform for a little while. If anyone has good information to share with me then please do so!

In my opinion, this is right up their with the kids that think that they are vampires and come to this website vigorously defending the fact that they live the life of a vampire...
...at the age of 13...
There are all kinds of people that believe all kinds of things in the world, and this is just one of them. There is a small library of books in the field of psychology that goes into the reasons why a person would decided to believe such things, but the simple version is little more than a wish to be unique in a world of 6 billion people.
Everyone has the right to play whatever role they wish in life; that is the beauty of being free. Choosing to believe in fictional beings (and furthermore believing to be such a being), is a persons right, but I can't help to think that it is a rather unhealthy right to express.
My best friends 4 year old refuses to answer to his own name, and will only respond when called "Spiderman". He has all of the outfits to go with it, and every ability to mimic Spidermans moves when he runs around and plays. It is the funniest thing to watch his dad have to call him in the mall "Spiderman, it is time to go get lunch!". He turns about 3 shades of red doing so...
It is actually healthy for young children to choose super heroes to mimic; it gives them an opportunity to learn about things like helping those that cannot help themselves, being powerful, and doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. There are positives to that type of mimicry.
In my opinion, folks that never grow out of that type of thinking are not healthy individuals, at some point when the average child moves on to putting the values they learned from their hero to actuall practice in the world, some folks decided to never leave their imaginary world.
On the other end of the spectrum is the folks who believe themselves to be werewolves, vampires and the like; and actually go as far as drinking each others blood to prove a point. That type of imagination is anything but healthy, and all to common in the disenchanted kids today.
I am always amazed by the folks that come here...there is always something interesting going on.

Very well stated. It just can't be healthy for someone to believe they are a vampire or were wolf. Something is missing.

Last time I checked lycans weren't immortal either... Oh well werewolves are kewl

They're not immortal cuz the ways to kill it are shoot it with a silver bullet through the chest (works with vamps too

), decapitation, and, strangely enough, being present at the death of a loved one. I don't mean family-love, I mean like really close boyfriend/girlfriend love. Just ask Ruby... She is a lycan...
And werewolf_child please use the "edit" button don't make multiple posts thanks!
Edit: Technically, lycanthropy isn't a "disease," cuz it ain't caused by viruses

It's one of two things- the obvious or a state of mental confusion.

Want to hear the story well here it is.One night I read about how to shift and it said to visualize your body taking to form of a wolf.So I did it.I did it on a full moon,So I sat down and visualized my body taking form of a wolf and I suddenly got a tingly feeling in my feet and it ran through my whole body until I felt like I was about to black out so I stopped.I've tried since then but I've never gotten close to what I felt that night. What do you think happened to me?
I've been to therianthrope chat rooms and none of them could explain it and ever since I was little I have acted like a canine I have growled at people when I get mad and when I hear a low sound my ears perk up.And I don't know if any of you can hear it but when a tv is on mute it makes a ringing sound and I'm the only one who can hear it.I've always known that I was different I just didn't know what I was.And the strangest thing is I don't think anyone in my family caries werewolf in their veins my dad might but I'm never around him since him and my mom got divorced. The only thing strange about him is that he loves wolves and eats raw meat.

Dream, wandering thoughts, etcetera. Just like psi, you can't just "learn" how to be a lycan, you have to be born or, in the werewolf's case, bitten to be how you are. And I highly doubt that you'd just visualize yourself changing into a wolf and you become one.

Np at all, if you have information about this subject feel free to tell me
hoi

I have a problem... i recently figured out my best friend is a vampire. Im a lycan and its kind of difficult keeping in touch with each other when my other friends know im a lycan. What do i do? He knows im a lycan and he still wants to be friends but my friends all want mee to stay away from him if im to keep my "lycan-ness" a secret from everyone else.
