Does anyone know where I can find a picture of what the so called "Son Of God" looked like clean shaven?

And you know the program that lets police make a 3d face of what a perp looked like then looks like now? Well, I need to know what the program is and where I can find it.

Seriously, I don't know what you're talking about. How do we know what Jesus looks like in the first place???????? Certainly he wouldn't look like the white anglo-saxon with long hair and beard which is seen so often in Catholic dogma.

On another note though, welcome Dominik thumbsup.gif Enjoy your stay at UM

I have to agree the image portrayed as Jesus cannot be accurrate.

Here is one with a beard.
draconic chronicler
Most of the earliest Christian art depicts him without a beard because at the time, it was fashionable in the Roman world to be clean shaven. We do know that the ancient Jews as a whole adopted Roman clothing and hair styles. Jesus may not have been any different.
A good comparision of this today is how people all over the world wear American blue jeans.

That is assuming Jesus was real.

Dominik.

Are you asking for where the program is the police use? I do not think it is a program, Just a police artist’s drawing of what they think the person would look like. Similar to seeing pictures of children abducted young, then they have what they should look like older. I would assume they go also by pictures of the parents at the age the child would be then.

If you want a picture of Jesus himself without a beard, that is not too hard to get. Just go on the internet and search for the Actor who played Jesus. For that is all there is, No picture of the real Christ exists as far as we know. Other then words. And Words do show Jesus without a Beard:

(ISAIAH 50:6) I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them
that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and
spitting. (KJV)

(PSALMS 40:7) Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it
is written of me, (KJV)

The Beard was plucked off Christ’s face the day of the cross.

This is not really a picture of the so called “Son of God.” This is a picture of the Son of God.

the name of the program eludes me at the moment, but i know most departments got rid of it because it was worthless.

you look at a bunch of pictures of people and say, the suspect had this nose, then you look at the pictures again and say, the suspect had these eyes.

it produced a bunch of unrealistic composites and would be of no use unless you personally saw jesus

What's this? I've never heard of Jesus beard being taken off, I think you're taking this way out of context Ken.

If you want to know what Jesus llooked llike go look up the Shroud of Turin. It has been established that it DOES contain blood, and the DNA on it is from a Jewish male with AB blood from Jesus era, with wounds that match Jesus'. It also contains wood particles and no, it contains no paint. How the image got there may be a bigger mystery.

You can counter that whatever way you want, but it still stands that the Jewish men of that time DID wear beards, and it came from Jesus' era. I highly doubt anyone but Jesus would have been tortured in such a way. So, yes, I do believe it's real.

And yes, He would have been medium-dark skinned, He was afterall, Jewish.

Ashley that is what I have heard so I don't think Ken was taking it out of context.

WOW I am agreeing with Ken ohmy.gif

There have been many debates on the Shroud of Turin.

The Nail holes on the Shroud are in the Wrist. Sorry, Wrong location.

“Put your finger IN MY HANDS.”

“I will never forget you, I have you GRAVEN in the PALMS of My Hands.”

Jesus had to fulfill every jot and tittle of the prophecies. The nail holes had to be in the Palms. And as far as they had to be in the Wrists to support the weight. “Bind the Sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the Altar.” is also one of those jots and tittles. He was tied, and nailed onto the TIMBERS. Also a jot.

(LUKE 24:39) Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye
see me have. (KJV)
(LUKE 24:40) And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands
and his feet. (KJV)

(JOHN 20:25) The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have
seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his
hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of
the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
(KJV)

(JOHN 20:27) Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and
behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my
side: and be not faithless, but believing. (KJV)

(ISAIAH 49:15) Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she
should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may
forget, yet will I not forget thee. (KJV)
(ISAIAH 49:16) Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my
hands; thy walls are continually before me. (KJV)

Seek and ye shall find. Maybe God has provided. Maybe we have all seen His Face. Both with and without a Beard. We have a God who works in mysterious ways.

(1CHRONICLES 16:11) Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face
continually. (KJV)

Ever notice the FACE of a person with Downs Syndrome? They all have the same face. Even different races, have the same face. And they are HATED WITHOUT A CAUSE (hint)

Maybe God gave them a Gift they are unaware of. and that many others are unaware of. Those who claim to love Jesus, and who do not like looking at people who have Downs Syndrome might be in for a big surprise in Heaven.

Who but A loving God would even think of such a thing?

Did you know part of the description of a person with Down’s Syndrome is “marked with a sloping forehead.”?

(PSALMS 37:37) Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for
the end of that man is peace. (KJV)

Now Who would the Perfect man be?

One of the main things on “Seek and ye shall find.” is that it has to be available to be found. And what Jesus really looks like is a question billions of people have sought. And a question God knows beforehand we would seek.

(1CORINTHIANS 1:28) And base things of the world, and things which
are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to
bring to nought things that are: (KJV)

Sorry, that does not provide evidence for 1. nails not being in the wrists, 2. Jesus without a beard, or 3. anything whatsoever to do with th Shroud of Turin.

Can you actually make a post without a zillion different quotes? Like as in WRITE YOUR OWN POSTS?

I think just from what I know about the period, I would venture to say that the man had medium dark skin ( since I don't believe he was all jewish), had a thin build, long hair and a beard. Jewish tradition would tell us a lot. I think ken could be right about this beard thing though. The romans new that it would be sacreligious for a person of jewish faith to remove their beard, so they very well could have removed it to humiliate him even further.

Ashley.

I can post without using an Scriptural Quotes at all. I would rather not do it. The Bible has far more credibility then my opinion. Even if I stuck to the Scriptures without using the verses and showing where they are. I choose not to.

I not only use the Scriptures as the basis, But also give the references. That way others who also believe the Scriptures have credibility, can see the verses I used for the concepts.

I have no problem at all with a total Non-Scriptural post. BUT, Searching out the contents of any post is just being responsible as far as having some knowledge on what you say, What you believe, and what you show others.

As far as “write your own post.”? I do not see anyone showing the Concepts I write on before I wrote them down. Maybe in General. Many say all are saved. But they do not use what I do as references. They do not come in from the same direction as I do.

Most Christians will never claim the concepts they see as their own, But just what has been shown them. And that is where, what I post is different, I do not share what other people as far as today’s ministers preach. I do not use what is called Sound Church Doctrine. And I will show that Sound Church Doctrine is not Truth. There is a God. They have that. Who, What, He is? They do not really know.

Using Scriptural quotes is not wrong. As long as the Concepts being shown is Truth. So Reference I do, Reference I will continue to do. All long as I live, and that is Eternity.

It is all those TINY Jots and Tittles which show Jesus is who God sent. Which show God is able to foretell what one day will bring. hundreds of years before it happens.

The Hairs had to be plucked off His cheeks, The nails had to be driven through His palms. He had to be crucified on Timbers. They had to spit on Him. Judas had to kiss Him. Judas had to be paid thirty pieces of Silver for turning Jesus in. Judas has to cast it down in the temple. The ten Disciples all had to flee during the first 6-hours. Peter had to Curse Jesus in His thoughts, The c*** had to crew when He was doing it.

Hundreds of jots and tittles. I have heard Ministers say it does not matter if the nails were in His wrists or Palms, Yes it does. Because God foretold where they would be. Either God got them all right, Or God is not able to do what He has said would come to pass.

It is a case of ALL or Nothing. Then those things which can not be seen physically, Like making an end of sin, and bringing in everlasting righteousness then can be seen as Truth. For all fits. So all can be believed.

Israelite raised in the jewish culture and traditions. But in my opinion I still think he was 1/2 some other culture, possibly roman.
I in turn must comment that the jewish are a tribe/clan of the ancient followers of judah. They are so much more than just their religion.
