I am still not sure that the ghost does exist even i might have experienced 2 unusual seemingly default of my senses because they were too vague, obscure in my memory. now I choose one which was the most violent to share with you and confused and is confusing and keeping confusing me.and for advise.I sincerely garantee 100% of truth!
it was when my grandma is dying of cerebral haemorrhage.having the notion of that she is not to survive in a few days my mood was extremely depressed.and I had nightmares about death/funeral of her.untill one night the series of nightmare didnt stop: i was asleep sound as remembered with no bad dreams but two extremely violent, astouding bangs explosed right at my ears as if two gunshots had been just issued beside my ears! so i suddenly woke up in terror and annoyance thinking somebody was tricking me to wake me up but in utter darkness of night I could hardly get hold of switch.in a reproachful anger got ready to give the culprit a piece of mind.to my terror and suprise there was nobody in my room which was surely latched by myself from inside.so very logically the fall and crash of centain piece of furniture were scrupulously invastigated but nothing was out of place at all!! and the floor was utterly clean without any trace of crash or falling things.my room is large enough to have the usual noise outside levelled down to a degree may not disturb my sleep except for ...of course a fall of a very very enormous furniture/television/chandelier or dynamites explosion ,plane crash nearby etc..
I didnot give up checking outsude my room and all my house : no intruders no crash or the like and especially to my confusion my parent which sleep downstair were sleeping soundly.that night after return to bed I fell asleep again.i was not scared too much by the though of ghostly manifestation.perhaps!!
but what made me to think seriously about ghosts trick was its return of the very same noise in the following night: extremely loud like something intensive blasting with or getting cracked by explosive materials ,repeated only twice, sounded seemingly right in my bed!at my ears! in spite of very very careful search for intruder in every possible corner and even cavity in my house before sleep it came
to wake me up again(my parent neither heard it nor knew about it)
from then 2 night of undisturbed sleep followed by the death of my grandma. till now whether it was trick or anything unexplainable remains mystery.there must have been a culprit .who was it? unsure.gif

I know what you mean, I have that happen a few times in just one week. i know that my house isn't haunted. I would hear a big bang and it would be just as I fall asleep. Every time this happens I would get up and check on my daughter and My mother. Nothing would be out of place. I think that it maybe the sub-con ( not sure of spelling) playing tricks on me. It has happened before my fathers death and after. I now just think it as a happy little reminder to check on my loved ones.

what a suprise!what can i say about it? only a coincidence that we both have that kind of thing happenned to us?.it would stand for that it might happen to anyone.however we dont understand why and how it happens.the mysteries always happen which seem to be defeating our notion and understanding sometimes they give way to serious daily matters.check you memory! you could have interseting discoveries to share! wish you and your babies always have good dreams ! happy.gif

do you have any vents near your bed? I live in an older house whose vents sometimes make a noise like that at night. Would possibly explain why nobody else in the home hears it and why it's very loud to you.

Don't feel alone there because I have had several occurences like that where I was sound asleep and was woken by this loud boom, as if dynamite went off in my front yard, but I looked and nothing was there.

I have posted about something similar before. I don't hear a boom, but I hear a very loud rap, usually twice in rapid succession. It sounds like a very hard rap on a wooden door, but it seems to be right in my ear and very loud. It always seems to happen when I am falling off to sleep. It probably happens at least once a week, sometimes more. In the earlier thread I posted about this in, a lot of people said they had the same experience. I suspect it is some sort of sleep induced auditory hallucination.

Thanks everybody! I have been away to some other topics around the net.just back to find more suggestions.Vents ! i have just check it out: there is no one besides i sleep quite away the window.it would be a reasonable answer to my question! if i find it there and likely possible to have been the rogue.
And i have not yet heard the rap and anyother sort of noises than the bang or boom.i think all the noises of any kind tended to awake people are result
of the same mysterious/ghostly? activity.but for hallucination I am never too much stressed or do not use drug so cuold hardly believe it was so.but at least they did not hurt us rofl.gif

I think it's your subconcious, since almost every Christmas an other important Holidays I am awoken by different songs (they can be anything, once it was a bang though... I think it was easter).

Over active imagination, anyone? 'I woke up to a loud noise' no sh!t who hasn't.. good try though.. the use of badly placed 'big words' and exclamation points had me going for a minute.
frogfish
i have had that happen randomly..i think its a "illusion" (if thats the right word for something auditory) and has nothing to do with the supernatural
