If you had no body you would be limited to what you could do of course but think how much we learn just from touch in everyday lives of the physical world. Most of what we know is the physical world because... we are physical beings of course. So really my question here is, if we became energy would we be able to expand our knowledge of the universe to a great degree because the physical world wouldn't matter as much?
Mr Ed
If we were energy then would we even be able to interact with the physical world?

It could be terrible, not being able to touch or feel, just being energy.

Well, expand knowledge if we could fly in space or something.

so aren't bodies just shells for engergy then?

I suppose you could use for the nearest example, experiments or therapies with a sensory deprivation chamber. Some people consider them a way to "super-thinking" while extended periods often result in hallucinations or psychosis.

I don't know, if we were energy, that would rock! I'd be gone-man, here or there laugh.gif
I could really get a charge out of it laugh.gif

Then how would we think? If we were energy and no body, no body means no brain.Doesn't it?
