This has been a long-standing, light-hearted argument in my family. Thought I'd put it up on UM and see what all y'all think.
Pants- why is it that if women wear pants that end at their calf, it's called capris, but when men do it, they're thought to have pants that are just too short?
Just wondering.

Tis unfair. Woman just have more options of groovy clothing. Moe thinks that this is the main reason for cross dressers.

Girls get a lot more clothing options than men (not that I want those clothing options, I'm happy with jeans and a t-shirt all the time). They can have skirts, dresses, high heels, fancy hats, and they can wear everything that men wear. I'm not complianing, but it does seem quite unfair.

They have capris for men. They're known as manpris, and they're very chic. If you're Kevin Federline.

Damn Britney Spears for getting all the hot guys!

I'd prefer not to see a man in capris, myself. I wear them every day during the summer. Only because we're not allowed to wear shorts at the office, and it's too dang hot down here for jeans or pants. And I abhor underclothing (as far as slips) during the summertime, so no skirts or dresses on a regular basis.
My clothing options as a woman are limited as well. It's terribly hard to find pants that fit. I'm 5'1" (on a good day). Besides that, either my waist is too small, or my hips are too wide. It looks nice naked, but the clothes just don't fit. So, when I say I have nothing to wear, I MEAN IT. LOL.

I have to respectfully disagree, Burnsy. A few men are very sexy, just not in the dreaded manpris.

Okay, fine.

Womens legs are sexy, and they can show off bits of them.
Mens legs are not. And bits of them, unless shorts are worn purely for comfort, should not be shown off.
Why on earth would a guy want to wear a feminine, sexy piece of clothing that reveals little bits of skin? Women do because they are sexy and have sexy bits.

Well, you could have babies, or regular visits from "Aunt Flow". Or perhaps you'd like the severe mood swings that lead us ladies into trouble once a month. Or the bloating, cramping...
Do you
really want me to go further?

EDIT: To get back on topic, ^^^^^this is why the clothing manufacturers cater to women. We get depressed and buy things and change sizes on a regular basis.

Janiel, you are truly my hero and one day, I shall join you in this wholesome endeavor. Men may laugh and point but we will have the last nanners, for our fertitility rates will be like those of rabbits. Everyone knows that tight jeans are bad on a biological level.
We think this is why the highlanders of old wore kilts. This and the fact that a cool breeze would seem refreshing on unbathed crotches.

You do have the right.

There's nothing against wearing women's clothing, in fact, there's a few transvestites that live in my town. Some of them are quite convincing. =\
