Hey, what kind of gear do ghost hunters use? I've seen them on shows with all sorts of weird equipment and was wondering what they were, and if I can e-bay that sh**.

ace music taste, retch >:D

stuff they use is probably gonna be an emf meter (electro-magnetic field) its supposed to pick up the electric/magnetic field produced by ghosts, although they are sensitive to anything electric and living also.

motion detectors, thermal vision cameras, infra red video cams, dictaphones, digital cameras, laser thermometers ermmm, dunno other stuff like that from what i remember from tv and stuff

theres a store here http://ghoststudy.com/detectors.html
but its not cheap

Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! (que music). Watch the movie and buy the toys...they work.

Has anyone ever heard of aura goggles or knows where to get them?

There are alot of essential things do bring with you while ghost hunting.

The first thing you should bring is a notebook and pencil. It is very useful cause you have to note the date, time, location and any other important notes. Record the experience while your experiencing it thumbup.gif

You should bring a thermometer to check the temperature at any haunted area because the temperature usually goes down before a sighting.

Another must have is a camera. Preferably an instant camera so you can see the picture right away.

A compass is important because strange behavior in the compass meaans that the magnetic feild is behaving strangly which is a sign that a ghost is present.

It is almost impossible to ghost hunt alone so you should bring a friend to observe and to keep your nerves original.gif

Hope this helps!

OK Hi to all, I'm new on this forum and very happy that I finally found you. It's going to take a few posts to feel comfortable and hopefully ya'll will help me out along the way. I'm not new to hauntings, spirits,ESP and such. Am American Indian, Cherokee tribe and was raised to believe in all things are possible. Ok now I'll send and hopefully not laugh to hard at myself. blush.gif thumbsup.gif

You guys are spoiling me! I'm writing paranormal fiction, and you keep posting cool-ass links and accounts for me. I couldn't ask for more.

belive it or not ive actually been to a few of the plases listed in shadow lands web site it turns out that i probable have a virious or some thing of that matter which wont let me post or send links. im getting the software and memory to remove and accomadate for the storage...if any one is in the k.y. area i recomened visiting the, marion county baker hollow road.
i dindnt think at first this plase would be so active but even inside your car/vehicale you can pick up faint e.v.p.'s and if your lucky/ or unlucky enough experiance extream activity in your car(such as i had)..

that is one place which i can not shake...ill post my evp files and futher details/accounts when this problem regarden my puter is figured out..
seriously untill then check it out if you want but trully stay in your car doors locked and windows up stay out of the cemetary its not that spooky at first but weird paranormal activity is present.

ill make a new topic on it with in the next two weeks for those who like to partake in it,.....?
