A Scottish Phenomenon: here is a website about it.

The Big Grey Man of Ben Macdhui. A large grey creature, bipedal, climbers claim to have been followed by it, chased by it. Usually solitary climbers near the summit of the mountain ben macdhui have had an experience, I have looked into it and there are nearly 200 recorded sightings. The creature has twice been reported as talking the ancient scottish language- gaelic, also reported are voices with no source, strange music etc. The most famous sighting the creature was following someone about 10 paces behind in the mist, keeping pace, their footsteps going at the same pace. When he speeded up the footsteps behind speeded up. He caught a glimpse of it and it was grey, tall with talon like feet
The folklore of this creature goes back to the 1600s - it was known as the 'fir liath mhor' - the big grey man in the ancient scots language. A similar thing has been seen on a mountain on the isle of Skye.
I personally have visited Ben Macdhui and it is an eeire, barren, often treeless place, marshy, boggy and lonely, with a foreboding sense of evil hanging all about.
Theres no way a bigfoot creature could live there, but maybe a supernatural creature?
What do you think?
