Hi all,

I was just wondering is there any certain techniques to do Meditation? And how long should you do it? I am pretty new at this and wanting to know how to do it? Any info would be very helpful to me as I am so new to this!

Hi evanescencefan

There are so many types of meditation, it would be difficult to assess which one is best for you.
There is concentration (breathing, watching a candle etc.)..types, physical fitness types (pilates, yoga etc.)... dream types ( learning to become "awake" in dreams), and present time type ( learning to live in the present and allow things to just "be".

If you are interested in meditation, may I suggest that you put your request out to the universe that you would like a teacher, and then be open to what comes into your life.
Sounds stupid, I know, but it does work.
Like they say, "when the student is ready the teacher will appear."

Good luck thumbsup.gif

Turtle is so smart grin2.gif

Yep do that.
Make sure that you are open though. That is probably most important thing I would say.

I didn't go online I simply tried what I imagined meditation to be...
oddly enough it worked great.

You are your own best teacher; teach yourslef well. The potential is there thumbsup.gif

I've heard that quote from Kabbalah many times, it's a great quote and very true. It's applied to my own life.

That is VERY good advice. There is no law to meditation; it is as personal as it is relaxing. Some methods that work for one person may not help you at all, and vice versa. Simply relax in a setting you find desireable and the knowledge of what to do will come. I learned by doing this, and now I can do it with ease just by what my body, mind, spirit and/or whatever force you believe in told me to. I'm sure this one technique can work for anyone yes.gif

Have confidence in yourself. I have come to learn that your brain holds more knowledge and information than you can easily conciousnly pick up on, it usually takes subconcious activity to surface it.
