Heya all, I was just wondering how many other people are bummed about the cancel of "Firefly" by Joss Whedon, and/or looking forward to the movie, "Serenity", which is in theaters Sept 30th.
For some backround about "Firefly" if you haven't heard of it, its a sci-fi, kind "outer space western" series.. or at least it was before it got cancelled. Despite the fact that it was cancelled after only the 12th episode, its an extremely good show, the cancelling was due to stupid Fox networks.
Hopefully it won't come to a pre-mature death of the show, but I have a feeling, after reading a few posts on fansites, that "Serenity" the movie will bring a close to the excellent first episodes. (I recommend buying the set, its about $35.00 USD, I think. I saw just the first 5 or so episodes when my friend bought it, and I'm completely hooked on it)

Full Version: Firefly / Serenity
I was made to watch Firefly, and got into it quite easily... mainly due to the sense of humour that is evident in the shows, much like buffy before it....
I do recommend people to check this out, may not be your cup of tea, but its certainly worth a look....

Never watched the show when it was on, but I wish I had. Serenity looks really awesome though.
i'd have watched if i'd have known it was joss whedon. i think that guy's a genius. he's hilarious.
I saw Firefly from time to time, it was pretty funny.

According to Whedon, he doesn't know anything about it. It's still a possibility, but by no means a certainty.
