One day a woman in Canada was watching t.v in her lounge and it was thick with snow when she saw an old man at the window.Freaked out she called the cops and they investigated outside but there were no footprints. They checked around the house for anything suspicious but didn't find anything. Then when they checked behind the sofa they found footprints!!! So the woman had seen the old mans reflection in the window.Had he been in the house?Or was she hallucinating?

but if the woman JUST saw the man, would her reflection be on the mirror, and would the man have made a noise walking in the snow, or walking on the floorboards. I was open minded, but this guy told me some stuff, so now I'm skeptical about ghosts, and cryptozoology.

If she called the cops right away, don't you think she would have seen the guy behind her when she got off the couch to run to the phone or something???

how did the old man make his way behind her sofa?
and maybe he was just scared that he wasn't in his own house and so he hid behind the sofa...
but still, I'd be so scared if i found an old man behind my sofa! I'd run like the wind!

hehe, I dont think you'd need a gun for an old person.
...you know, unless they have laser eyes or something...
...and you know deep down inside that they do!
I think a gun would be needed after all...

This legend is lame, needs a fair deal of drama. You should write it down a few times and read it over, this is just a thought on screen. Idea is great though.

Well, the why didn't the police find any footprints leading up to the house? The old man had to have gotten in there, somehow. Unless the police department in this town is very unobservant.
Wouldn't be so unbelievable, except for the footprints, and the fact that the old dude was gone so quickly. There are escapees from nursing homes every so often. They're confused and don't know quite where they are.

Wouldn't happen, maybe he was hiding behind her couch or something (ours are aginst the walls) and he stood up, then when she ran to get the phone he hid agian?
Or she halucinated.
Anyway I'm just glad this isnt the puzzle story agian.

That would suficiently scare me! In other words, I'd end up wetting myself!!!
Something similar to this happened to my SIL. She was home with her youngest, who was like 3 at the time, & she saw a tall, slender man walk past her kitchen window. He was wearing a white t-shirt, so she thought it was her hubby. He's a farmer so blue jeans & a t-shirt are "standard attire". I rarely see him wear anything different, and if it is it's usually a lightweight blue workshirt.
She was puzzled since he was suppose to be at a school function with the 2 older daughters. She didn't hear his truck pull up in the drive. So she went to see if he like broke down or something...
no one was there!!!
She was totally freaked out. A few weeks later, we came to learn that another farmer had been killed when his tractor rolled over on him on that same piece of property about 10 years before my bro bought it from the man's son. Yes, he was a tall, slender man who usually wore white t-shirts. **There goes the hair on the back of my neck again!**
